[FGTA] Formula 1-SEE NEW THREAD!Finished

... Come to think of it I think the Lotus is 5-7 secs slower at Monaco than the F10 was...

I managed a 1:16.8 around Monaco in the Lotus F1 during a qualifying session but usually I'm in the 1:18s for a few laps before I ruin tyres, it's a beautiful track for the car because you can use the throttle to turn the car through the corners... I reckon the top drivers can get 1:13s or faster there with a setup which I think is similar to the F10 time... but consistency is difficult for me there because of tyrewear, I've worked on a Monaco spec gearbox to try and reduce wheelspin, so we'll see if it works...

Yeah I think a really good F10 time off the top of my head was a 1:09. Actually PD's "standard" Monaco track is pretty realistic apart from having no bump after Casino on that straight. Distance wise its almost spot on.

I'm going to just go for a bike ride after watching F1 today, its a nice sunny day. So dont expect me on after, in the morning though for GTA.

I will add you to the list:tup:. Be sure to read over all the rules and regs. You will be in a team by your self (as we have 15 drivers) until there is a new sign up. Unless @rcb929 can jump in as a full time driver and team up with you?

Also, race results and drivers brief will be up shortly.

That's fine with me.

When you said shortly I didn't think it would be 15 minutes afterwards!

Hey guys, mind if I jump in as a reserve driver? I'm not fantastically quick, or consistent, as per having a DS3 and not a wheel, but I can have a little go here and there.

edit: Also, what's the drop off in pace between Hard and Medium tyres. I want to improve on Hards if I can, and I decided to test my pace at Motegi on them and without the oil bhp boost. Does 1:34.2 seem ok?

Depends. Was that time done online or offline, and with tire wear on or off?

It was offline with tyre wear off, unfortunately. I'll test online, but I have to micromanage my usage this month to see how I do on it. only have 9GB of data til the 12th July.

RH times at Motegi would range from 33s(maybe 32s with our fastest drivers), down to 35,36,37 or lower with some of our slower drivers. I'd say add about 2.5 seconds to your time to account for being offline + no tire wear.
