@Etid: I have to aggree and disaggree at the same time.
It is sure hard and needs practice, but it is doable. I started in S1 FGTC the first Races without TCS, Active Steering and SRF => its doable (Plus I have beaten the Indy Real Life Track-Record => without Aids the FGT is sure a fast drive too but not so insane as now ;))

I would want the 2j or the Jaguar but I have to test it first (all Cars are good rides if Stock).

Edit: All aids banned and then you allow AS ?? Common you use a wheel => why use it ??
I hope we don´t allow upgrades like Turbokits !
For Tires: Racing Hard or Sport Softs. Just because the Tires at that Time had less Grip. But using Comforts or Sport Hards is just too wicked although it would be the realistic choice.

I do agree with putting all aids off including Active Steering, it makes the car unrealistically easy to control on the corners, still think racing softs though.

Are we going with pp balancing or completely stock? 👍

Put me down for Ferrari. I'll race with aids off and try my best, should be more of a challenge anyway. :)

I think we should do some votes at a later stage, to see what tyres, tracks etc people prefer. I think we are getting bogged down in detail too early :)

Oh and bring it on smithaz :D:D

Going to watch one of the greatest films ever! The Gladiator. See you guys later!

Joe- Cheers for the info. Nordy is the track for us then I reckon. Ill add the weather 2009 option when I open the poll on a seperate 'classics' thread.

Skate- Yes TCS/SRF/ASM are banned.

Smithaz- Done.

PB- I think we need TCS off for this one mate this is not up for discussion this time, the tyres will be though and ill do a poll on a seperate thread when we get closer to running this.

Sakery- More testing is needed but all the cars reached the pp with no parts fitted so no tuning would be allowed mate. AS is staying :D you wont break me!!! Without it the steering feels stupid, the wheels dont pull back against the force of the car turning, they just carry on- irl my cars dont do that! Tyres to be voted on.

Tom - PP

Etid- Done and I will have my vegeance, in this world or the next!

Pagey- Voting will take place for the various options but in the meantime suggestions are welcome. Ill see you at TM (for your demise) :D

Classics(3 people per team)

Team AS losers - Jaguar xj13- Rhyfelwr, Ellis , Sandman
Team cheeseburger - Ford Mk4- Skatenj, pagey, Smithaz
Team Lasagne - Ferrari P4- Ronin, DrifterJoe, Etid
Team Gulf Racing - Ford Gt40-Mustardaddict, TomMcD, .......... .
Team Snail Start - Chapparel 2d-...........,.............,.......... .

TCS
SRF
ASM all banned
ABS 1

Track suggestions

Nurburgring
Spa (weather)
Indy Road
Daytona Road
Monza (no chicane)
Sarth 2005 (no chicane)
Sarth 2009 (weather)
Fuji
Cote d Azure
Suzuka (weather)
Indy oval
HSR (weather)
SSR5

We can vote on these so the season is not too long. I was thinking half hour races, 2 races per session fortnightly. Top two team finishers results apply to the teams and you can drop two results during season to make up for no shows.

Right, if active steering is on I lose my 'stability' advantage with the chappy. Please switch me over to the GT40 👍

To steer things back to the FGTC I was going to give my predictions but am scared I am cursing myself so this week I am keeping silent.
Looks like the best lap is a 58 second but this is just a one off.
Winning pace will be around the minute mark, 1.02 for mid finish and 1.04's at the back. If you minimise accidents and have a good strategy you can punch way above your weight at TM.
Remember that rage quitting carries a penalty and if you are being lapped you MUST move over and not re overtake until the next full lap is completed! I am upping the penalty for FTY to -5 points and 1 GS for the worst offenders so watch your map!

After long and argues thinking time I have come to the conclusion that I hate this track

:) Like me and Suzuka, why dont you try a different pit strat or driving style to make it more interesting. How do you normally drive?
Pagey/smithaz style ( max laptimes to hell with the tyres)
Rhyfelwr/ronin (smooth and less stops)

Fair enough, what I was trying to get at is when I know I cant win a race I try a different style. Its more entertaining than doing thesame thing every race.

I am testing for the new championship for a hour or so then TM with FGT's. I want to do well in this race!

Finally mounted the wheel. My measurements were off by 1.5mm. :(

You know, I just clamped my wheel onto the kitchen table. :sly: TV is setup on a shoe box to make the track level with my eyes. :sly::sly::sly:

A cockpit might help....dont know.

Good your back on the wheel mate, now practice like mad to pick up where you left off before mate!

Bert i have 2 awesome road course tracks i want to use for the classics series. One like old spa and one like targa florio. If you can check them out sometime this week it would be nice. Ill share tomorrow.

I dont know if my fastest race lap will be better than 1:00. LOL This track is pretty damn scary.

In the classic car series I'd be all for an oval race. That'd shake things up a bit. Maybe a course creator oval with tighter turns.

May I tag along with skates track thing and say i have two aswell that we tested tonight. One being an extremly challenging handling course and one being a mid range twisty course that looks suspiciously like a deformed turtle
