Spurgey- It does help quite a bit but its the only thing I try not to mess with as it takes me ages I have a nice set up now and just adjust the final gear for the top speed requirements.

Rich- I know its such a shame for him.

Skate- I knew what you meant mate. Smithaz was saying it would be better if it came on at the end of the revs rather than through tho whole range.

I use default gearing, adjusted for the top speed of the track... Never done anything but that. Somebody once gave me special gears & I found them to be slower.

Im a bit disappointed with the g27, one thing being the shift lights, another being it has a lot less buttons than the dfgt so i always need a controller to hand. Also i am slower with it due to the brake being harder to press wich makes it harder to do a quick dab mid-corner. But the wheel itself is an improvement, its alot smoother than the dfgt, u dont get the cogging or big jerks i used to get with dfgt.
Pace wise im on mid 19's on a good day so dont think il be fighting for the win this week! Can barely string 5 laps together without spinning aswell.

Why do you think the shift lights are bad? You will get used the the hard brake as it will be better in the long run. You will also get used to less buttons.

I thought the shift lights would come on at around the same time as the red on screen light, then i would know to shift when i see the lights on the wheel come on. Im not sure what to use the on-wheel buttons for either, got them on ra menu at the minute but thinking of changing to directional views, i liked to be able to look sideways when ovbertaking/being overtook.

Yea i have my top 2 for left and right. And my middle left to look back it work well for racing.

Doesn't your motor start to burn out after 10 laps or so? I find that towards the end of a run in the FGT, my DFGT motor's force feedback feels like a 1 when its set on 4.

Dont know what the fancy pansy G27's power output is though. I would think when that thing starts to heat up it has to lower its power so it doesn't melt!

Rhys, I think you could manage this race on 2 stops. I have been able to do some 15 lap runs with only 2 sec/lap drop off.

I definitely want a season 3 as i love fgt's.

I would suggest running a max of 10 on the Grid. This would lower the frame rate loss at the start of races. (once 3 have dropped out as per usual frame rate increases.)

The motor still feels like 10 even after the end of a race. Its hot but its still powerful.

Rich- I think there would be more than 10 wanting a season 3. I get where your coming form buy it may not be practical, as the host I dont see any lag normally and I dont get too many complaints about it. I feel I should do an S3 because Pagey/smithaz/you/Spurgey/sakery would be very close or maybe beating me in the drivers championship if you had made all of the races. With the others I have seen improvement too so it should be done.
My DFGT feels the same after as before but i turned down the FFB because I read horror stories of overheating during long races on GTP.

Well we should consider running it in somebody else's lounge I think. (Season 3) Runfast's lounge last week seemed extremely smooth compared to yours ryhs. If not than it could be anybody's. We could test out different lounges to see which offers the smoothest connection. Runfast's was really good though, I've never been so "connected" with those across the pond.

I get the feeling somebody else in Britain would have a smoother lounge. I guess if you really really want it to stay in your lounge for S3 than thats OK, I would just like to try and improve the quality as much as we can. Pig Boy being the main concern, if you watch some of his videos its pretty bad. Being very far away and all.
