Congrats on the championship Brett

My race started really well, i decided to put on mediums, and there wasn't much grip.
I had a pretty good battle with Mustard the first few laps, but i managed to break his slipstream and pulled away by about 5 seconds. I was gaining on the leaders and i came in lap 12, 6 seconds behind spurgy.

After Spurgy had pitted i was 26 seconds behind!! Mustard, who i was leading by about 5 seconds was 15 seconds ahead after the first stop. Bearing in mind i didn'y spin once. So effectively everyone got 20 seconds on me in 1 lap and i have absolutely no idea why.

I had an awesome battle with Etid untill i was span round just after the first corner. 2 corners later i was rammed wide, and the corner after i was rammed wide again. So the 25 second gap up to spurgy was now 50 seconds.

My tyres were shot and i came in, I was by myself for the rest of the race. I thought i could have caught Etid at the end and grab 4th place but he was too far ahead.
I made the mistake of backing off a fair bit as Sandman was getting pretty close towards the end but i finished in 5th.

The only consolation was i got fastest lap, a 1.10.7. So i had the pace but i just couldn't use it.

Nice report, I can only suggest you put fuel in and they definatley didnt go over the max for a short stop. They came out in front of me and took their longer stops later 👍
I got a 1.10xxx but must have been slower than yours if you checked. I practised for this one and it showed in my strat and pace, just the one spin following a lagging car so not too bad.

Yeah flawless drive It's no mean feat beating Spurgy around there considering how quick he was 👍

I just had a quick blast round Nurburg, 6.10.xxx with default suspension, and default gearbox plus a few small mistakes, i am determined after my poor finishes

Yeh, I couldnt go as fast as quali, had to really look after my tyres, they were getting down to 15% before my pitstops, and the kerb at the first corner kept catching me out, spun twice But good race, still havent got my first win yet! lol, will probably have to wait till next season, congrats on the win+championship Brett And yeh, sounds like the right order

Thanks mate, sorry I tapped you at the chicane but it was just a tap from my end and no harm done. I nearly 🤬 when I came up to the lagging ellis and spun it. You must have wondered where you got those 4 seconds from in that sector
It feels good to win again, been so long. I guarantee you will take your first win in S3 mate, your way too fast not too!

i was well unlucky with my pit stops, i was the very first box in so i wasted about 5 second selecting correct tyres and fuel!! i had a shocking first half which was to be expected after jumping straight on track, i would have got pagey and etid if i had a better start. well done brett! Thanks fpr the congrats chaps, I feel it was quite an acheivement this season, I had a few wins and a couple of bits of luck but it wouldnt be possible without you lot pushing me along

Oh mang, no win since Rome and now i've gone down in the rankings, plus an average finish of 4th this season im surprised im even in second place in the championship.
With all my fastest laps i guess im just cut out for one lap blasts, rather than consistently running a quick pace, which at the end of the day wins races

Hey, some people have never experienced the win, I still see you as the guy to beat too. Its only a game but when I cross the finish for a win it feels 🤬 good
You have had quite a few awesome wins, remember rome on the last lap! Your pace beat my strategy for the win
We had a few good scraps and if you hadnt missed Tokyo it would have been game on at NBurg too.
I am looking forward to the final a lot but probably not as much as you.

Yeah I know but its annoying to run race winning pace in practice then to finish in 4th or 5th
Even so a very enjoyable season
Im looking forward to Nurburg a fair bit, if i don't do well here i will be very hacked off

You will mate, last season your laptimes were over 10 seconds faster than me evey single lap and I came second.
Getting back at Monaco, Daytona and Fuji made me realise that this is the best racing GT5 has for me, I prefer it to anything else I have tried.

Damn right, i tried Forza 4 the other day (i was stood in the middle of HMV racing on Forza completely on my tod ) and IMO its no way near as good. Awesome cars but the gameplay just didnt feel right and the graphics werent up to scratch.

Although a game can never be like real life GT5 is the best console racing game out there, a mate of mine who plays both doesnt rate forza because he reckons anyone can be good at it after playing for half an hour.

You cant have been on your tod, there was probably 100 screaming girls outside trying to get past security

Nahh I had to go in disguise, i always have an emergency suitcase in my car for such occasions. I pretty much got out the car and it was like the lynx adverts

Well points are pretty much locked up apart from farther back in the pack...... Oh and I could maybe catch Pagey if he disconnects during the race. I think I'd have to win & he'd have to be below 5th or something.

Race Report

Pre-race practice wasn't going well for me, I had just come off of Call of Duty and was in an aggressive mood and was putting in high 1:13's. However, after a pot noodle and a glass of root beer I was calm and determined to get a good time in qualy.

Qualy came and my best was a 1:12.8 which gave me a lot of confidence as I started in 5th but -1GS back to 6th which was still pretty decent and I felt like I was going to have a good race.

The race started and I picked mediums for the first stint and the first 6 cars into turn 1 were all nice and clean from what I saw. I decided to do a 2 stopper pitting in laps 15 and 30. The first 8 laps were pretty decent getting up to 4th place and fighting with Mustard and Pagey. As mustard left me for 3rd place the battle for forth was on between me and Pagey. We had some very good clean overtaking, definitely some footage worth recording however, bearing in mind that we were both on mediums we both had less grip than expected and coming out of turn 1 I ever so slightly accident tapped his back right wheel causing him to spin, I'll put my hands up and say sorry to that dude and I'm going to expect a -1GS as I waited. I was really feeling the lack of grip on mediums so I went to pit on lap 15 as I stated, 15 litres of fuel and on to the softs!

In the second stint again I can't really remember who I came across but I remember runfast and Ellis behind me making me push the car to the limit. I was putting in consistent 1:12's. As I pitted on lap 30 I was taken by Pagey and Sandman but I knew they had to put again so off I went.

The final stint and I put 44 litres in and carried on setting 1:12's I then took Pagey and sandman when they were in the pits and saw the car to the 40th lap. I knew Pagey and Sandman were 3-4 turns behind me so I really went for it so they didn't catch me and ended up slowing down in the last 2-3 laps to make sure I didn't crash.

So 4th it was and I was very pleased. Well done Brett on Champion and sandman aswell on Constructors. Can't wait for Nordshleife, it's going to be a close call between me, spurgey and sandman, I've got to get some practice in for this one.

I still only have the Williams and the Force India for FGTC. The online dealership still gives me the Force India. They need to recycle those cars atleast weekly. How hard can it be?

Anyways, I also have blue only, purple/white & yellow only I think...Although could be wrong.

Did Immortalpilot quit or what? Not doing S3.
