Spurgey- Dont know but I think he does, he can be really quick but I think it depends on whether he has time for a practice at a specific track. You two will make a dangerous team 👍

The last team has been announced, Williams have announced they have retained the services of the drivers Smartheart and Mustardaddict.
Smartheart has had a difficult season with disclipline but will be looking to put that behind him for S3 and keep his points haul safe from the stewards. Surely he can gain some help from his highly successful No.1 ranked team mate.
Mustardaddict has gotten over his highly publicised affair with a jar of colemans and a raw chicken to produce some of the best racing seen in S2, looking a likely candidate for rookie of the season he has the highest driver rating ever seen since the championship began.

Lotus driver Ellis Nutt was in a press interview today.
-How will you feel leaving your friend and teammate etid?
Its a shame to see him go. We were a good team if not a little naughty. But our antics won't be over.
-How do you feel about the new team?
Well I started my fgt career at red bull and it will be good to be back. I feel that the car will be good although I will miss the lotus colours.
Although I am looking forward to racing with my new team mate. We will try to get as high as possible. And look to doing some good racing this season.
-There has been disagreements in the past between you and flood. Will this effect the team at all?
Not at all. We have matured since then and get along now. Although I am concerned that he has been out for some time. But with some pre season practice.he can be back in shape
-Any aims and objectives for the season?
Yes, many. I am more commuted to this up and coming season. With a new practice regime. I feel this season was a let down and I could have done better. Also I aim for a mid table finish, 7th or above. Also our rivals, pig and sakery are a large threat, although I feel we can beat them. Also to improve my racecraft. Towards the end of the season i have been improving. So in all, a better season.
-what are your thoughts of this season? High point and low point?
Its been average. I haven't put enough in. I know if I had I would be much further up. But yes a good season. High point would be Tokyo, first podium and a lap record in the 1st race. Also taking pole for sarthe. Low point? Sarthe again. Awful race for me and the team. Also the amount of penalties i recieved.
-Any other comments?
Just a congrats to Bret on a great win and thank you to everyone else involved.

Although I tend to do well in longer races its still a bit grueling.

So no complaints. Dont know if I can match his lap time, but that shouldn't matter too much if its longer.

Earlier I was interviewed by Ellis, here is how it unfolded (he sent the questions by PM) and is now the officially the only journalist with access to FGTC drivers.
Congratulations on your double win. Manufacturers and driver title. How do you feel?
Thanks, I feel fantastic! Season 1 was made easier by the fact that I raced on average 3 more meets than my nearest competitors but Season 2 was much harder to win. Season 2 is my favourite victory. Me and Sandman had the manufacturers sewn up early doors despite his technical problems mid season, its good for the Mercedes brand and I hope to see them back in the FGTC for season 4.
Your with sandman again next season. Are you happy with that?
Very happy, we share tunes and practice together which makes our on track dynamic tough to beat, his mechanical troubles seem to have been Ironed out and we will be the outfit to beat next season
How do the other teams look in your opinion and other drivers? Any big threats?
Pagey is a constant threat and mustard is a cause for concern with his devastating consistency. Sandman will give me a run for my money in S3 and maybe Etid too. I expect more from Pigboy/Sakery and Ellis too.
Teamwise I know that etid and Pagey are very similar to me and sandman in terms of winning races but I wont discount any of the teams at this stage.
Any improvements for next season?
Well I showed at Fuji what can happen when I put in some practice and work on my tune, I may be busier but will try and practice for all tracks and not just my favourites. Everything else will remain the same.
High points and low points this season?
Low points for me were my team mate losing his confidence in the car mid season.
Seeing the FGTC cut in numbers of drivers and my defeat at Monaco. I also had a tough time coming to terms with my below par performance at Laguna Seca. Worst by far was the wall riding incident at GVS, I was ashamed of my actions and it was out of character for me.
High points were all my victories this season, not easy to come by with such a competitive field, favourite races? It has got to be Trial Mountain, Fuji Speedway and Nurburgring GP/F
Anything else to say?
Just a huge well done and thanks for competing with me this season, it was a rollercoaster ride of victory and defeat. I expect people to have betteer dislipline in S3 and keeps their hard earned points (me, ellis, Smartheart, etid). Also I am looking forward to the Spurgey/Mustard/Pagey/Sandman battle at Nurburg 24, will the mighty lap record fall or remain the only Season 1 time to remain!

A great season pagey. Although it looks like you have just missed out on the win, how do you feel about the season?
I was obviously disappointed not to get the championship, but never the less I thoroughly enjoyed it, didn't get as many wins as I would have liked but it has tought me a lot about racing the FGT. I hope to take this into the next season.
Your with Ferg next season. Are you happy with that?
Yeah very, he's a good racer and has had some very good races this season, most notably Tokyo. When we are both on form we will be a force to be reckoned with.
We have seen in the past, you getting annoyed as it would be at ferg, things such as voice chat and spinning you at Fuji. Do you think this will effect your next season, him being a team mate now?
Not at all, there are always disagreements, and those that have occurred have already been forgotten.
How do the other teams look in your opinion and other drivers? Any big threats?
Yes, mclaren is very strong, the driver combination clinched the constructors with ease this season, and that was with sandmans many disconnects.
although you raced very well, you just missed out on the win. Is there anywhere you think you can improve from or if you had done something differently to change that?
Yes consistency, I have the pace. I have shown it with my 8 lap records, so I need to work on doing that pace every lap.
Also pit strategies, I have been going into races with only a vague picture of what it will be.
High points and low points this season?
High points were my two wins, laguna and Rome. Two of my best drives.
Low points were my team mate having to pull out due to technical reasons.
Not clinching the championship. And my many poor finishes, my average this season was 4th.
Anything else to say?
Looking forward to the next season, it will be interesting to see whether my predictions materialise

Pleased, a poor start but things got brighter, took my first win, team mate got the drivers championship and we got the constructors. more looking forward to season three, a new team and a new training regeme.

Brett is a great team mate, as a double world champion he has great experience with setups and strategys. also its nice that we share the same type of humor.
How do the other teams look in your opinion and other drivers? Any big threats?
I believe Our main competitors for the constructors will be Ferrari, however most teams are looking promising in pre season testing, and they are always improving.
technical issues have been a thorn in your side all season. Will this be an issue in S3?
i had a unreliable Ethernet connection linking to my engine, i had 7 DNF results out of 16 races, which was very frustrating.
However i have had a reliable car since Monza, so i believe i can take the data into the next car at Mclaren
Any improvements for next season?
As long as i have a reliable season i shouldnt have many problems.
High points and low points this season?
Im sure you can guess my low points, Getting T Boned at Monza and lack of preperation for Fuji led to poor results too.
Other than them i had a good season, got 3 Pole Positions and my first win at no better place than Monaco! 👍
