EDIT: the Red Bull is dark blue, but it has 18,600 miles on it...
I'll skip racing with that one. Dont know if it can even be restored to full power. I dont think so. Its at 825 hp at 100% right now.
Must've been the first FGT I bought last December when I bought GT5. Circa 2010.
Anyways, here's my race report:
Started out in 3rd with smart heart right behind me only about 1 sec off. I was able to do some 1.11s in practice on full fuel but couldn't manage it in qualifying. My sleep schedule on weekends really put me out into the half out cold mode for this race as well.
On the 1st turn I was bumped from behind, bumped into the car ahead but no damage & nobody crashed. It was damn close to being a crash though. I let a gap open to spurgey/berty & that was all she wrote....if I could have stayed in their draft the first 9 laps I might have had a shot at the win actually...but once I fell behind I didn't have the cornering speed, especially thought the tight hairpins.
I decided on 3 stops because it's easier for me, I decided when all else fails comfort yourself. My car was different than spurgey's in practice. His front tires were worn out whereas my tires wore out evenly. I knew right away by putting 2 & 2 together that something was off with my car if he was faster & his tires were different. Oh well....
I really made no mistakes. I was 13 secs behind at 4 laps to go and briefly closed in but then my tires got squirly and I slowed down and cruised in 18.5 secs behind berty after a good 55 mins of concentrating with crap going on all around me in the kitchen (food, coffee, dishes, etc, etc.) I dont use that as an excuse though because it generally doesn't affect my speed at all.
