That's cool. The world final should be interesting. I'm rooting for Dodgelamb. I've seen what that guy does with the Alfa Romeo 4C Gr.4 and I couldn't be more impressed. As someone who knows how much slower that car is than the rest of the pack, I'm always shocked to see him creep into the top 10 and sometimes be at #1 with that thing while everyone else is using much faster cars. Funny he's got dodge in his name but he rep's alfa like me.

Well, I don't always rep alfa. I love the 4C Gr.3 so much but hate being last place in the Gr.4 at tracks like Monza and bathurst. It's like the other cars are Gr 3's sometimes

Are you talking about Cody Nikola or another driver?

He's talking about DodgeLamb, who races for Alfa Romeo in the MFG series, Americas Region. He finished 3rd last FIA season (Exhibition season 1).

Ah ok, was just a coincidence simce he was also usimg the same car for the last day. Sorry about that.

This talk of "older" people like me (44) has gotten me thinking it would be cool to have a Masters Invitational of 35+ or 40+. Get us old geezers who started with GT1 together and have us race on the old classic tracks with classic cars (ported to GTS, of course).

GT1 made a big impact in my life. I started simming on PC in the mid nineties with Papyrus' NASCAR but had to stop playing on PC as I got sick of spending money to keep the thing up to date for the latest tech. Just by coincidence I was in Japan in December '97 and saw GT in the Sony building in Ginza. Needless to say I brought a copy home with me. It has accompanied me for two decades now.

So I think it would be cool to have a Masters or Founders Invitational. Get together say 36 of the fastest older guys and let us duke it out in some unusual race combos. Maybe even use the event to showcase the history and influence of GT in the racing genre.

And let Kaz Yamauchi race with you guys,it's the ultimate fan service,GT1 fans playing at classic tracks with Gran Turismo's creator.

And restrict qualifying to maybe 5.25 laps as that’s all the time I seem to find once all the chores are done and the family is asleep. Some times I don’t even qualify, and only do the ‘C’ race maybe twice a week.

Best idea I've ever heard, lol, but I might be a little biased as I'm an old guy myself!

I won't pretend that we could provide the same level of entertainment as the top guys, but that's a competition that I just might do well at...so sign me up.

That comment made me ask myself, does Kaz actually have the time to race sport mode reguarly to test it out?

Whould be intersting to know his PSN ID(s) :)

I guess he does use GT Sport but mostly time trials,i don't think he has the time to race in sport mode.

I wouldn't be surprised if the new car in that event was a GT SEMA Winner

We know of two or three cars that have been scanned (I believe it’s the GoPro Camaro, 240Z by the F&F actor, and Bruce Leven’s ‘51 Ford).

I’m particularly passionate about Bruce’s Ford because the owner was a local and regularly attended a weekly summer car meet in Redmond, WA (usually bringing something from his collection of rare Porsche race cars). Unfortunately he passed away battling cancer in the summer of 2017, it’s already cool that his dream creation is getting immortalized in GT, but it’d be extra special if it was revealed on a national/international stage.

The tuning house announced close to a year ago on IG that it got scanned by PD, so it’s on the table:

If I could change just one thing regarding the format... I would've made the Repecharge a Group 2 race at Suzuka (with 3 players in each of the 3 cars). Save the N300 race and 22B reveal for Sunday when the stakes were presumably lower. The format was otherwise good on paper, but I do stress that those entering the final T24 race needed to know in advance what they were racing for.

PS: Dan Holland's a much better man in person than he may seem over the internet. That infamous Tokyo race was just lag, and whilst I can't defend him swearing in chat after getting punted in round 7, I understand all too well that the high stakes involved during the online portion of the season made everyone more prone to snapping at perceived injustices than usual.

Watched the Gazoo Racing WEC event, and the races with their 6 drivers were an absolute feast of punterinos and excursions!

About custom liveries though, I wish they would allow it as it is THE opportunity for people like Munginho to showcase their liveries on, for example, @TRL LIGHTNING's car. But I think PD would put realistic restrictions such as Center Lock wheels only for Gr.3 and above cars, no politically themed liveries, no liveries showing cigarette or alcoholic drink sponsors, no nude anime girls, must use the Type 1 or 2 Racing Number box, etcetera, to make this happen.

Luckily i studied a bit of spanish. Crude translation (and a bit of myself)
From first to last
-Arena with over 2600 m2 (square meter)
-Simultaning broadcasting for all over world in 6 languages
-The best 30 drivers from all Europe
-100 square meter of screen
-Steps for over 500 spectators (which means many people can watch it live)
-VIP area for driver\invited
-Supercars exposition
-Free play area / Open Race

Also google translate should help enough too
