Key interesting thing for you guys maybe was me getting my hands on the Debug version of the December Patch for a bit :) I am sworn to secrecy however

I hosted my own Nations Cup Final with all the cutscenes and everything on Northern Isle with x30 tyres and x30 fuel with a penalty zone that was literally the length of the circuit  Theres some interesting behind the scenes values you can adjust such as the penalty PUNISHMENT value and rolling start distance from the start line, as well as rolling start speed limit

Oh and Tidge and Aderrrm are absolutely smashed
Sworn to secrecy he knows things guys we got to get this info out of him somehow

There was something I saw that made me audibly scream YES
Hmmmmmm well we have seen the new track, F50, FuguZ, P1GTR and a E92 M3. Going by your name I would say it's the McLaren but we know about that car. I REALLY WANT TO KNKW WHAT IT WAS.

Why not start to try and offer large prize money for the winner? I think nothing would ad drama more than having hundreds of thousands of dollars (or even millions?) on the line, just like any other competition.

I'm late for this but congratulations to Igor for winning the Finals. He deserves it after what I've witnessed from America Finals-Nations Cup Finals.

@TRL LIGHTNING You drove great! Kudos to your performance overall from start to finish. Also when I saw you drive my favorite road car in the Tokyo Expressway race, it brought a huge smile to my face.

Congratulations to everyone who participated in the event. :)

That will make some sense when participants are already sponsored and recognized a professional eSports drivers.

Because if there's a lot of money involved and people are there as fans/people who have racing as a hobby (and not as professional eSports racing drivers), the chances of mistakes and aggressive moves probably skyrockets.

This is not like Dota or CS. In GTS you can be ruined in a split second by someone else's decision. In that respect, more things depend on what other people do than what happens with other massive eSports titles, where players make their own wins, regardless of their opponents mistakes.

What an absolute masterpiece of drama and race craft this event was. Cant wait for next year and cant wait what happens when big crowds find their way to these series. Hope these event end up getting some tv broadcast at some point.

Kazunori looked absolutely extatic and deeply moved during the final podium celebrations, and for a very good reason. They have created a true masterpiece of esports.

I think he's asking for that because Forza offers money prizes in their eSport events, but i agree with you it's too soon for money prizes in GTS and i bet PD is already sweating their pockets with all these events(seriously, paying for 30 drivers stay at Monaco must not be cheap)

More than 30 if you count the people from the Manufacturers too. Probably around 40-50, nights in Monaco don't come cheap. GG Polyphony.

So... can you alter the car's setting in the debug?
Let's say making the Sambabus going over 400 mph...?

Been a while since I've heard the Brazilian national anthem for a winning driver, cracking anthem it is.

Great to see the best two drivers battling it out in the last race, maybe there will be racing teams all over the world looking on, maybe this could launch a Jan Maldenborough style racing career, who knows?

My only gripe is the cars, just wish they'd make Nations one make races, it's about the drivers not the cars this championship. The start of Monza was a shambles, Gr1 is so bad for this

Yeah I watched Forza's WC and the prize money was probably the best thing about it tbh. But when we compare both events, it looks like Forza had to have the prize money otherwise it wouldn't attract any decent drivers. It lacked on so many things but at least there was a prize money.

I think PD did way bette, probably spending just as much if not more. The show was 100x better, the races were 100x more exciting and probably the experience for the drivers at Monaco (and other venues) was 100x better too.

Not having a money prize is perfectly OK for now I think.

Brrrasil!

If motorsports here had a tiny piece of the investment that football has, that anthem would play a lot more often, it's a great passion with lots of raw talents, but completely wasted.

Anyway, feeling pretty proud, congrats to all, great coverage, lots of fun, and nice to see how big this is getting. :gtpflag:

This Final was amazing, with so close races and great drivers, I'm amazed!
Also, congrats to Fraga for being the World Champion, I was stoked by his last race; @TRL LIGHTNING for a great performance and respectable 2nd place.
Kinda bummed for Mangano, but he was great too (especially on the first race, I was amazed by his recovery ), meanwhile @Aderrrm wasn't bad either, cheers

Yeah hope next series just scraps those messed up cars. Between N500 and Gr.1 i didn't know what looked sillier with the balance.
Both start were pitiful. The F50 instantly couldn't catch up to the BMW and got assaulted by the pack behind (and instantly the DB11 caught it).
Start of GR.1 was nonsense with the R18

Honestly for me,travelling to Monaco is already a prize, can you imagine the bragging you could do with this?

"i took the kids to the park this weekend we had so much fun hey auditore what did you do this weekend?"

"I went to Monaco and stayed in a 5 star hotel,i also won a Esport championship Certified by the FIA it was fine..................."

Hollywood wouldn't create a more dramatic and eventful final if they tried. It was epic! For Igor, his come back at Le Mans was the element that had been missing in the races before Interlagos. Many would be questioning how much he was favored by the (bad) idea of one too important qualifying session, so he had the opportunity to prove that he was someone who totally deserved the title when he had to drive under pressure and do what he did.

As for the others, it's obvious that everyone could eventually win this championship if given another opportunity, but right now Igor and Hizal seem to be more complete.

PD did a great job for a first championship and probably learned a lot. Was very impressed by the quality of the transmission. Presenters and commentators, venue, etc were all very professional.

What a race, and what a drive from Fraga!

It's fortunate for us the audience he slipped up in the second and third races, because if he started the race any further up with that pace it would have had a lot less drama

Im very impressed with Latkovski's performance as well, he came out of nowhere for me, a very well earned podium in this field.

Congratulations to everyone who made it through, it was great to watch!
Same feeling here. After winning a repechage, a silent comeback.

A shame I had to watch this at work. I'll have to catch the whole thing on my big TV at some point like the first two streams.

First off, a bit of a story to tell (if I haven't already). Being from the Americas region, I already knew of Igor but the wham moment was him slipping into my practice lobby before the Bathurst Top 24 superstars race. I ended up simply watching him run insane laps in sheer awe and wonder. That day, I was confident in the belief that he could actually go toe-to-toe with the big names out there and win. I'm thrilled that he made that same impression on those that didn't know him before the Finals.

Now, Igor is a deserving champion but can I say that the general format was fair? I'm afraid it wasn't. Again, to have one qualifying session dictate so many things — especially with a car configured in a way that's not achievable in the game — is something that can't happen again. @Doodle had the speed to advance but had no chance starting so deep in the repercharge race. @TRL LIGHTNING could've been a bigger factor out there in the earlier races if he wasn't starting midpack every time. Random pick cars makes sense only when cars are balanced to the individual combination. Yet, we see the leader at Monza shoot away like a missile in one of the best cars. Finally, based on what I've heard from drivers that competed, more poor driving that the stewards didn't even look at.

It's a shame I'm coming off as negative because there's a lot of things to like from a spectator's perspective. A nice little intro to set things up and individual driver introductions. A new track is nice to see (although I found it underwhelming) as were drivers that drove smart and clean. Good announcing, as always. As someone that actually competed for this, I just feel for many of my fellow drivers that made it this far but got dealt bad hands.

PS: I knew Igor was in trouble with the Jag at Interlagos. Jomas and I drove that car for the final T24 there. Why do you think Jaguar was not a Manufacturer's Finalist?
