FIA Formula Two Championship

Count me In
PSN: TBRR-97

I did a bit of practice and a small race with you all tonight, and really enjoyed it
It was just at my level of driving

Good Racing Guys.
I think we get next Week 14 drivers.
But the FGT is very good.

So sorry I couldnt make the race today guys, I had a ton of homework to take care of. I'll be good for the first race of the season :)

so how is this getting on?
Does it seem likely to happen? I missed the practice races due to the fact I lost track of what everyone was talking about.

I hope so, there was a nice turn out in practice.

knowing how well many drivers are in your F1 2011 races , I think you should organise one ;)

Yes this is still going ahead. Race 1 and 2 on Monday. I'll be online most of the weekend (evenings) for any online practice. Had about 8 or 9 for last weeks pre-season shake down. A few things to work out but will be going ahead. Hope for 10 plus drivers.

Things that need sorted:
1. Room needs to be in lounge really. To many randoms turned up and it was hard to keep track. If you are not already then add me on PSN so you can get to the lounge.
2. Some drivers are still using there own setups. I know that the setups cant be monitered but im looking for people to be fair. If you are lapping 3-4 seconds ahead of everyone else and tou are using your own setup then maybe you need to look at why you might be so far ahrad. If you dont like my setup then suggest your setup to everyone so that we can all benifit and have some close and exciting races.
3. 7th gear is not to be used. If you use my setup you will not go into 7th gear. If you dont use my setup and you go into 7th you will get penalties.

The pre-season was quite good. Appart from pilot being so far ahead there were battles all over the track for the other positions.

Looking forward to the next one. 👍

JT we can make it so we practise all in the privat lobby.
Then we know how many drivers we are.
Then you can put in the lobby settings how many drivers we are.
Bceause online lobby make lower lags.

Yeah private room is what i meant. How was the lag last monday for thoes who were there? I thought it wasnt too bad. hopefully better if we use private room.

So this starts April 9th with Monza? Has the laps or anything been decided yet?
Also what are the lap times for the track?

Immortal did a 1:28.8. But humans are expected to get 1:30s at best.

I practiced some today and from what I've seen 29s should be possible, I was able to hit a 30.5. I ran for 7 laps and my tires were really good, so I don't think tire wear will be much of an issue, unless you are spinning all over the place.

This series looks like it could be pretty good. BTW JT, your tune has a lot of oversteer on the entrance to a corner, I lost my rear end a couple times with it.

Like ive said before, my tune is there as a base. Everyone can contribute to a good tune for this car so that we can all have a good base tune. I want close racing with everyone in identicle cars with the same setup. I know this cant be enforced but im looking for people to play the game. 1:30 and under, at monza, with this BHP should NOT be happening. Real F2 cars in this seasons practice sessions have been doing 1:35s and i would expect our cars to be within 5seconds of that, maximum, without the aid of a draft. If you are geting sub 1:30 times then check that you are within the white lines at the chicanes and re assess whether you should be in this series or maybe at a higher level. I am not going to stop people joining who are quick, just dont want another series killed because 1 or 2 divers being 4 or 5 seconds a lap quicker than everyone else and no body thinking they dont have a chance to atleast see the leader.

I think in the test we did after the GP/D round alot of us were in the 31s as it was very close between me and 4 other guys. I personaly think its the racing soft tyres sending us past the real F2 times..

Mate iam not a good mechanic in the karting i have a mechanic.
I always say how the kart feel in the corners and he make the chassi good.

There wont be any weight or power penalties as the are to complicated to administer. Ive said what ive said. If the same driver wins all 6 races this season there wont be a second.

Even if IMMORTAL was to share his setup, which i personnaly think is down to his gearing, we would all still be mere MORTALS. I take part in an F10 championship with him and he is just as quick in that too. I think he joins these leagues to genuinely find better competition but there just isnt any for him, all we can do is pray that he makes mistakes (which he rarely ever does) and try and learn from him so that we too can be IMORTALS

Wrong you can use power limiter, you just can tune anything else. For instance the ballast can't be tuned.

There have been 21 interested/signed up drivers on this forum. Obviously we can only have 16 but, im not expecting everyone to show up tonight. The races will be held in my lobby so only people who accept my friend request will be able to find the room. If there are more that 16 people trying to get in (ie, everyone wants to race) then that is great. We will turn the 2 races into qualifying for 2 divisions and take it from there.

Interesting, i'll have a look into that but dont know if the untuned FGT would be that great to handle.
