That might have sounded rude. I should have said "no apologies needed". I think it would provide a closer race. Even 10kg goes a long way by slowing tire wear and helping acceleration!

I understand with such a variety of tracks and cars it is extremely hard to balance then out evenly throughout the whole series. This would sort of make sense, if it had been done in all of the other rounds too, but it would take so much effort and testing to figure out what gains and drops had to be done to every car out on each track. It would be exciting but way too much work.

Points Updated
~Points fight is fierce, but Fast lap still needs to be added. Back to the tapes!

No. Its not hard at all. The top speed of the GTR TC and GTR LM are a lot lower than the other cars. They are the only ones that will be seriously disadvantaged at this particular track. The other tracks are a mix of turns and straights that the GTRs are on pace. Sarthe is different because there are 6 major straights where these cars hit around 170+mph. Theyll lose a good 2 seconds there.

So it was a tie break between the stewards (we need 1 more steward) so we need to have a fast poll on allowing the GTR to have less kg'

Yay 👍
Nay 👎

Tnt - 👎
Joe - 👎
Rich - 👎
Seth - 👍
Dave - 👍

Thumbs 👎's lead, so far we need more voters plz!!!

It would also be fairly pointless to not allow the exploits of each car to be used in their desire, if we all finished at the same time, that would be boring!

The issue is that the Audi and GTR's need a power boost as oppose to a weight loss, they are both dead in a straight line,

My BMW needs a power boost :sly:

I think we should just leave the regs as is, ok the gtr will lose out round here but it makes it up on tighter twistier tracks. My answer is Nay 👎

Yea I wuld rather the hp then the kg too. The hp will help it in a straight line while the kg would help its turing charasitics with its accel.

If it is just for this round and Indy 👍 as otherwise it'll get left behind

It will blast everyone away if it stayed that way though so otherwise 👎

My original idea was 10hp or -10 to -20kg for the GTR. Audi is another that could be 10hp for this round only.

If they don't dominate then well see whats up for the Indy round too. I do want the the cars as close as possible I have to say Memto killed the Audi reg's; he really just need success ballast over all. For Season 2 we will definitely run the Success ballast arrangement that we run in Autobacs. 💡

Yuk, Success ballast hardly seems fair considering how close 6 cars were around the Nurb, considering how different they are,

Strategy wise it would seem best to sift through all the cars and find the one with the most weight added already, thus not getting killed by success ballast,

I had the wrong setup on my car at nurb. I forgot to change it back to setting A. I was using it to bspec laguna seasonals to break it in. Should be better at Sarthe. The Porsche curves are fun in these mid engine cars.

Lol, damn loop holes

I believe 118 - 123 is the target mph thru there.

I got my big kart race starting in roughly 5 hrs and I still cant go to sleep. Maybe its the 106mph straight keeping me awake still! :scared: Here's the layout I aired on the Autobacs tread'

2 miles in distance, I'm running my harder compound Thank God the tire/tyre reg's were open!!!

^--- This 1 is only once a year. I guess its just too epic!!!

I'm ready to go, tires check, go pro, check! 👍

So how are we starting the Le Mans race?

I personally think we should do a full Le Mans start as there are few places (bar the main straight) that all the cars will be lined up on a straight to be able to start the race from in the first half of the lap...

Seeing as though we are on racing mediums and can afford it, It would almost do us good to do a full pace lap so we can all settle in and get ourselves sorted. At nurb, because there was barely any straight sections and we were all rushing it got a little messy.

Just a thought

on the gtr issue, I don't really want it to change, some cars are better on different tracks, since i'm driving the gtr, wouldn't I get a say on this? less weight or more power would be nice but I've not found it a major issue that requires a vote to change it, but if ya want it then less weight please :->

Can you test the BMW next Seth? it is well off the pace here, 4.02 is my fastest time on medium tyres. I think it needs a performance boost as well. I was hoping to run lower DF round here but it feels awful on these medium tyres :grumpy: it wont be good if I finish behind the GTR's on straight performance.

Please put a camera on your helmet during the race... Would be awesome to see your race!!

I did have a Go Pro on the front fender. I just have to find out how to upload the video to Youtube next. Today was only day 1, tomorrow I have more racing to do! 👍 Wait to you see the track on video its a monstrosity! :sly:

But it would take a long time to do the pace lap...

It was freakin 2 mi/ 22 turn layout with like 3 straights!

I think to speed up the process we should just go backwards into the porshe curves and roll from there,

I'd suggest going from either the Dunlop Bridge or Tete Rouge. Both corners are far wider the the Ford Chicanes that we'd start on otherwise and they're within 90 seconds of the start line at pace speeds.

I think we should go out of the dunlop chicane. Tetre Rogue is my 2nd choice... but the only thing is itll just be a drag race there.
