Can you test the BMW next Seth? it is well off the pace here, 4.02 is my fastest time on medium tyres. I think it needs a performance boost as well. I was hoping to run lower DF round here but it feels awful on these medium tyres :grumpy: it wont be good if I finish behind the GTR's on straight performance.

I was only joking Seth, im happy with my car as is, if im running at the back then so be it, maybe my car will better at other rounds. The BMW relys on grip and on these med tyres there just aint none unless I use a high DF setting, which could be a bad idea round Le mans. only worry I have is corner cutting, I just cant stand corner cutters, Theres only one word for them imo 🤬 I will be respecting the track boundaries, and I hope most others will, Cya tomorrow.

Hi Joe, I'm a little confused about tyres. Are we all using Racing Mediums, or is it simply that they are an option and we can use Softs if we like?

Pretty sure it is racing medium is required for this round

Maybe start the race down the mulsanne between the two chicanes or out of tet rouge, we need more time to get sorted the nurburgring start was way too sloppy, I got spun after avoiding someones check up in front of me and it ruined my race.

Starting at the Mulsanne will cause a nightmare crash into the chicanes...

Either Le Mans start or full pace lap are the best two options...

No. The Ford Chicanes are tight as hell and people are worried about corner cutters. There is two reasons to just go to the dunlop chicane and start after the bridge. If we slow the pace some, to around 40mph, everyone will make it through.

If we were all in position, and we launched just after the first chicane down the straight, I think that would easily give everyone enough time to get sorted and ready for the first corner. I'm sure if some one is forced over the middle on the first corner everyone will understand.
Just watch a start at the Clipsal 500 v8 supercars event. Half of them are forced over the chicane!

I think there would be a few forced moves down through the escape road too... Pole would become pointless... We need a first corner with no sand on the outside line, so turn 1 would be ideal, but to do that a full pace lap or Le Mans start would be needed...

Excited for tonight though!

Also, Tyler are you driving tonight? Because I have a friend who would be up jumping into your GTR if you are not racing this weekend... Thanks...

A rolling start under the Dunlop bridge would be safer or we can do a complete pace lap :)

Standing start or a full pace lap would be best imo, if we started on 1 of the straights it would just turn into a drag race and we would all be going way to fast into the first turn and it would be a right mess.

We need to get these starting procedures sorted abit earlier in the future, the start at Nurb24 was messy as hell, I wasn't sure when the start was gonna be. it would of been better doing a standing start there instead of going round 1 corner then starting imo.

I agree completely with this!

It's shaping up to look as though a full pace lap is going to be the best way to go in my opinion, which is what I was thinking in the first place! Maybe if I knew what a lemans start was but yeah.

And it won't take all that long to do a pace lap I don't think, time goes quickly, and it gives us all a chance to get sorted and ready, focused, and prepared!

Le Mans start is where the cars line up against the inside wall (pit wall) facing diagonally towards the first turn.

Oh I see! That would definitely make for an interesting start! And a great photo opportunity

Haha, Dave

And could see I-was-ere in the GTR lead until the Mulsanne!!!!

Well I have to say that a complete pace lap would definitely be the best option. Joe?

Quite easily I would say! We will all still be sliding down the main straight with our RWD's while he powers on! Haha

I orginally was thinking of starting after the Dunlop bridge myself, but I equally think its fine to do a full pace as well. I'm reviewing this tread of my phone app, but I believe more people are fine with the full pace lap so I think we should just do the full pace lap after quickly reviewing the post that I read. Things like this make me wish this was season 2 already and we had all the track rules sorted already.

I will have the race lounge open in 2 hrs frm now after the MotoGp race has ended. I'm letting everyone know now that the psn still could be down and I wouldnt be too surprised if we dropped the room today. If so we can do a re do for next weekend and any drivers that did make it to this round but can't make it next week will get last place points to keep the drivers in a decent pts fight. Either that are we can do another Red Flag but someone will have to not drop to get the replay to determine grid positons for the Red Flag. With this points setup coming in last place won't hurt so bad but a DNF will be hard to bounce back from. We will have different pts system for season 2 that will not distroy a driver chances by missing 1 round or 2!

I believe Plux has already made some asked this question, but if there is a spare spot on the grid tonight (if Tyler isn't racing) I wouldn't mind joining you guys in the GTR-R35. I'm a regular CRAP racer, and part of the same Nurburg 24 hour team as Plux and i-was-ere.

Let me know......

We'll definitely like to have you on grid tonight, I will sign you up with the GTR Team! 👍 I'll have the race room up in a hour from now for a last FP3 session before the start of reg's/race at that point on me turning on my Ps3 I will send you a FR to your PSN'

After TnT's outburts, and annoyingly another room drop so I can't get the reply. I'd just like to defend myself. Far as I know the issue began when I made an admittedly slightly cheeky dive into Indianapolis, at which point TnT bumped me as he turned in, but I left room on the exit and he wasn't pushed form the track. I then out-braked myself into Arnage, at which point TnT repassed me, while bashing me back off the track. My mistake, fair enough. Then into Porsche (part 1), TnT slid wide and into the gravel, me being in his washout was also wide of the racing line but out of the gravel. Unfortunately TnT's car bounced from the wall into my path, I tried to turn tighter but being in the washout on low DF in a 120mph turn, the options were brake and slide into him slowly, or just hope I would make it inside him. We collided and he span out. It was unfortunate but I don't feel that I was malicious or careless in any way, it was an unforeseeable racing incident, many of which occurred in the close running even without the added network lag.

I love the way the way the first time I'm feeling confident and driving well and loving my car around the track, is also the first time I get disconnected from a race...
Thanks servers. That just ruined my day
