I'm going to PM the stewards now. I hope you understand this is not me being uptight about losing out, I genuinely do not feel that that, and other moves, were fair.

The rest of the race was pretty exciting.

I don't feel that your move before the said move was fair, pushing me into the wall and taking the place, but I let it go...

At the end of the day your tyres were absolutely screwed and it was only a matter of time before you passed me. Not my fault you oversteered that much.

I'm not going to start an argument. I have my own views, you have yours, I'll let the stewards decide.

I'm a steward so I looked in to it after the race, then I had lunch.
Now that I'm back at the keyboard...
My replay is a little jumpy but I'm hesitant to make a call, but heres my thinking.

Dax is the trailing car, so he needs overlap before he can complete a pass. Normally in a series I run, you have to get up to the side door.

I realize in this series we don't necessarily run that strict, but I think that's generally accepted.

Biffy was taking an extremely defensive line, which he had a right to, and Dax, who was on newer tires, obviously had a huge speed advantage, so this obviously isn't going to end well. Still, since Dax is the trailing car, it's his responsibility to make sure it doesn't result in an incident.

I think it was turn six (based on PM), but Biffy was actually the trailing car at that point, because Dax had almost completed a pass. So I'd consider that move questionable. But when you look at the tires, I can see why it happened.

Then on the main incident, Dax appeared to get Biffy loose through the chicane. Dax was the trailing driver, so he doesn't have the right to pass, which he actually passes later on the next corner. Had he not tapped Biffy, he probably wouldn't have been able to pass.

If it was my race and I was in either one of your positions, I would think I was right in both positions.

I'm pretty sure both of you wouldn't be happy if I suggested a coin toss to decide the winner, but if I have to pick, I'd say Biffy should get the win. Only because on Biffy's incident, it didn't result in contact. While in Dax's incident, it did.

but I hope Carbon or Nel look into this, because honestly I'm not sure how much of Biffy's blocking was just because he had bad tires.
 
I believe it was a racing incident and not more, you have to consider the tyre suituations in regards to what happened. I also believe what happened at turn 8 cancels out what happened at turn 9, as turn 9 wouldnt have happened otherwise, whether it was accidental or not, which both clearly where.

At the tunnel my replay is lagging big time so I'm thinking now I shouldn't make a call, what I saw I thought was lag, so I'm still sticking with Biffy gets the win, but if what biffy did resulted in contact I say the results stay the same (Dax wins).

Yes there was contact, I hit the wall because of it. Thus, probably why I got a bit frustrated into the next corner.
 
Not sure if it's been looked at but Turn 4 isn't right to me either. What happened at the turn before the tunnel wouldn't have happened if I didn't get pushed out wide at T4, because we wouldn't have been in that position.

You had your bumper next to my inside rear, so I gave a little room (not too much as you wasn't close enough to warrant corner rights), you didn't brake enough and ended up pushing me wide. As a result we were side-by-side going into that tight hairpin which I overshot, but you were a little ahead.

Seriously, it seems like you are just picking out small things to try and take this win.

If that is how you want to take a win, that is pretty sad.

So it's wrong for me to report any incidents? Forgive me :dunce: You said my move on you at the turn before the tunnel was wrong (which it was, I can admit that), but we wouldn't have been in that position if you hadn't made those frustrating moves before T2 and T4.

I don't really care for winning, sure I'm competitive and love to win, but ultimately I'm in it for good racing. I had no problem with Car winning at Nurb. We had a great battle, all fair, and whenever we wronged each other, we would yield to the other driver. Clean racing at it's finest. This wasn't. However, whatever the stewards decide, I will not challenge it. Resorting to those two above comments, on the other hand, is just childish.

Hmm, but when you divebombed me into the hairpin, and push me wide I don't get the places handed back...

I am not discussing this any further, as it is against the rules in the OP.

The stewards will make their minds up.

And it wasn't a divebomb, for the 756th time. I genuinely got the braking wrong. Trying to stay on the inside of such a tight corner like that, with worn tires isn't the easiest thing in the world. At T6, as I already said, it was a stupid move on my part, but you didn't yield at T4. That and you trying to force an inside move at T2 as well didn't exactly convince me to yield for you.

You said it was a stupid move, yet you still kept the place.... I had to basically stop to avoid you hitting me..

I really don't see why you are making such a fuss out of some small incidents... To be honest I think it was all give and take, I had no problems with it all really, it is Monaco after all...
 
Can someone ( I know dax has the ability too) post a video from both cars "flying camera" views so we can have all have lag free look? I think I could get a PURE steward to look at it.

I don't see why this has to be handled like this.

I can get Denilson to take a look (Or the whole PURE forum), I know for certain that he will give an honest, unbiased opinion. Make sure you get the whole lap in that video.

I was going to PM Outlaw or Wardez. If Denilson is still online sure but I wanted some who has not been in FIA GT1 👍

I don't mean to be a pain here. But If you'd yielded after you pushed DAx wide surely you would take the win as Dax would have been penalised for his move? :boggled:

Maybe I would have, and maybe I was foolish not to, but ultimately I didn't think about that on-the-spot, I was too frustrated to yield after the other incidents. Maybe things would have been different if I had, but my inaction was a result of his actions.

But you could say that for everything.

Two wrongs do not make a right, and I don't see why I should be the only one punished...

sumo did a very similar move on me earlier, but he isn't under investigation. Again, it seems that you are just aching to get this win.

I hope you realise just because dennilson casts their views on it, they wont be the deciding factor. The DCRL stewards will have that.
