Im going to pull out of this series, sorry. Lots of plans for the next few Sundays :P
Have fun 👍

OK, what lap was it on?

No idea what laps Carb is saying about,

Although, maybe you should look at Lap 18 into turn 1, Lap 20 turn 1, lap 21 Turn 4...

Edit: The one thing I think I did wrong was on lap 25 out of the 2nd corner, but I couldn't exactly dissapear, I was just understeering.

that race didn't go as well as i'd hoped. i was full on confidence after half of suzuka , and then in quali i realised i was 2.5 seconds off the pace :grumpy:. anyway, bring on the mulsanne...

Interesting to see the averages, Biffy don't need any average though.. he's dominating everything ^^

Thanks guys. 👍

I also thought it was interesting to see that the Viper has dominated every race.

I had a good race today :), started to find some good pace just before qualifing. Which ment I managed to get 3rd on the grid, had a bit of a poor start and ended up losing 2 places. Both fair but aggressive moves which pretty much caught me off guard but I battled back and managed to take back 3rd.
From there I was just chasing biffy and carra which was easier than I thought as they were both battling which must have been slowing them down. I caught them just before everyone started pitting, after the pits carra just started pulling away from me and biffy came out the pits behind me which surprized me.
Towards the end biffy was closing in and there wasn't much I could do I had no tires to push any harder. Eventually biffy took 2nd place with a pretty nice overtake, from there my plan was just to hang onto his draft and overtake at the line. But when drafting around the last corner I just couldn't hold the inside line, with the extra speed and worn tires i was left with loads of understeer.

Great race :)

True, but I still think it's the fastest car, even if only slightly. :indiff:

On this track, yes it is most certainly the fastest car. If the SLR had a 6 speed it would have been closer.
Now, on a shorter track (Monaco, Tsukuba, GP/D etc) the SLR, based on my testing per-season, is faster by about 0.3 on any given lap when tuned (<---- Key)

Mainly because Biffy is using that.👍

Fixed.

You can see the Viper's raw straight line speed from the Monza results. Admittedly at Tsukuba the SLR did slightly better. 👍

Obviously the stats don't tell us everything as It doesn't take into account incidents like the first 5 minutes of Suzuka. :nervous:

Guys, I want to run a Carroll Shelby Tribute Series using the Cobra 427 on Sports softs. (I may add the Shelby Mustang too as a 2nd class)

Would you prefer this on a Saturday or a Sunday?

Darn, I would have loved to have time for that series.
Sport Soft tires are a great tire for this car, but SH tire really give you the "It's wants to kill me" feeling.

You should have tried the WRS event around Madrid Mini/Reverse, I got 2nd in Division 2 and we were using Comfort softs....

Damn scary.. ;)

Probably will run Sundays at 5PM

SS will be more bearable over 40 minutes though. And it will keep more people happy. 👍

I would be happy to do it on Comfort Softs, and I will hold a pole when I put the thread up. :)

I did, I had a blast, wish I could post times as I'm still not a GTP_ member.
I think I was a little off your time with my DS3, now I never tried the DFGT but it could make the gap closer :sly:

I based my SH tire recommendation from 2 great races I had in a open room.

(I have yet to try CS with online grip)

I love the car on Comfort softs, and it is the closest tyre to what would have been used on the car all those years ago.

I don't know. The car has SH stock so surely they modeled the car's physics around that tyre? :boggled:

No way. The Tyre models are way out on this game.

I bet Sports hards would make for a much more realistic experience in the Ford MKIV for grip levels for example.

Also, F1 cars feel better on Comfort tyres, as the Racing tyres give too much grip.

It sounds like a nice series.. would love to be in it but the summer is nearing so will probably not be able to join for the full series.

Exactly on the F1 tyres, the car is massively over-twitchy on Racing tyres. Can actually power slide and do realistic stints on comfort tyres.
