Race Report:

Qualifying:
1st GT3 class

Manage to get a fairly decent lap time, the best I've made throughout the week which puts me on pole.
So very pleased with that.

Race:
1st GT3 class

Manage to get a good gate-away on the start, which for sure helped me to keep the lead heading the first chicane, while at the same time trying to deal nicely with the LMP drivers on that first chicane, some LMP drivers simply brake too much through there and definitely make things tricky in that first sector.
So I was just trying to maintain position with the GT3 drivers class and at the same time letting through the LMP drivers, specially ZERODUCK who started on the back and RP89 who seems to be struggling and then RP89 spins and ghosted in front me almost causing a collision, just before the corner that heads on to the long straights, that made me lose the lead of the race due to the deceleration to avoid him and Gappasson overtook me.

After that happen I followed Gappasson for 1 lap and a half or 2, don't remember exactly, just before I regain the lead of the race of the GT3 class, and it was from there that I keep on the lead for the whole race, trying to be as consistent as possible and increasing the lead over Gappasson wich drive pretty good have to be sayed.
So all in all it was pretty similar to what happened in the Nürburgring last Sunday, but with the difference of the LMP class taking part on the race.

I've never have taked part in a multi-class event (LMP and GT3 class) and it was a very fun and enjoyable experience, there should be more vents like this over other race tracks, that should be nice.

Very happy and pleased with my 2nd win of this GT3 Club league. :gtpflag:

👍 Congratulations to the Toyota LMP drivers on the 1-2 (HEMIata and ZERODUCK), that was a great performance. 👍

Looking forward to the next race. :)

man I cant believe this I run home to get on line and not only do I miss the race it's over and results posted... Im on Eastern time... I thought it was at 4pm eastern.... well maybe next time.... lol

Thermite's Race Report

I had my best lap of the weekend during qualifying. It was a 3:57, which I thought was really good until I saw raikkon had a 3:55

I got off to a slow start because the LMP car in front of me didn't get a good launch, so I quickly fell towards the back of the GT3 class. I actually ended up side by side with BLADErunner from pretty much the start/finish line all the way until the first chicane! However, once we got there, I gave Blade too much room on the outside and got a shortcut penalty. I then got around Trumpulis before Indianapolis, and got back around Blade after he got a penalty in the chicanes before the start-finish line (at least I think that's what happened. My memory isn't so great for that part). So from here I was up to 3rd in class. I was trying extremely hard to catch Gappasson because I thought I might have been almost as fast as him, but I got 2 additional penalties from pushing too hard and got really frustrated. So I had to cool down and accept that I wasn't going to get to him yet if at all. I made my first pit stop with 40 minutes to go and went from RM to RH.

The second segment of the race was really fun. I think I noticed Bladerunner started the race on RH, so I assumed he was now on RM. I accepted the fact that he was probably going to get around me soon. But once he caught me, I put up a really good fight so I could try to not lose much time for the final stint. It turned out to be a really great battle! I almost spun out in the Porche curves once, he went off at Mulsanne, I tried out-breaking him into the second chicane and it made him lose his marks and have to miss the chicane completely, etc... Just really hard but clean racing! I pitted with 18 minutes to go and I thought I put in enough fuel...

But apparently I didn't. I came out of the pits 3rd in class and back on RM, but I noticed I was getting low with 2 laps to go, so I decided to pit after the timer had already reached 0:00. I guess that doesn't work though, so it made me go all the way through the pits. I then ran out of gas on the Mulsanne straight on the final lap and finished 5th out of 6 in class :grumpy:

Great race though! Congrats to the winners HEMIata and raikkon! The multiclass stuff was very fun! It got intense with the LMP cars charging up behind me at times, but I made sure to give all of them plenty of room, and they did the same with me

Thanks to ALL who participated & finished this GT3 Club event!
Great drive by; HEMIata, Team: TS030 & raikkon ! 👍

--- I had a solid Q session, I started on RH & pit on lap1. I was never able to get real consistent on the RH tires so I knew it was better for me to just get them off the car ASAP! After my crew slapped on the RM & topped off the fuel tank I came back out in the middle of the GT3 class :D. ALL GT3 cars were VERY aware & made the right racing decision! thanks GT3 class! Close to the end of lap2 I caught the two GT3 lead cars(gappasson & raikkon) approaching the porche curve. The two GT3 cars were side-by-side when I attempted the pass & I decided to try & 'split' them since I trust them & it worked!!! I was pleasantly surprised & it was an exciting moment in all 3 of our races LOL, thnx again guys!

--- My race was going to plan & I was going as fast as I could while still staying mistake free. This all came to an end on lap12:lol::lol::lol:. I was exiting the pit after my second stop & caught the grass in the GP section. I thought I was going to save it!, but I didn't 🤬. When I re-enter the course thermite was coming & I thought he was going to hit me! :scared:, I was staying low & slow but it still close, sorry!. Then I continued on to miss 2 more braking point & had to use the run-off behind the sand-trap:dunce::dunce::dunce:.

-- I also had a good back & forth with ANZAC-84-RACING for a short time. I think he was on RH tires & half asleep but ill take it!:bowdown:

--- Also, thnx to my team-mate, brr383 for joining my team & putting in a solid podium performance. 👍👍👍. I knew I was just the support driver but I could have finished better!

--- ALL in ALL, it was a great multi-class race! My first race in the DeltaWing & loved it! My favorite style of racing is multi-class racing! Expect one multi-class race a month! I tried this to see how it worked and we all had a great time!

Loved the race! My first multi-class race as well. To my team sorry for the poor performance and the spin on the first lap. I wasn't running the greatest setup and went too wide in the esses! But fun! Hopefully do better next week!

Oh man, @gurizzi , I forgot to write about when I almost hit you  Yeah that was real close! I had plenty of time to notice that you went off, but I still didn't know exactly which way to go by the time I got to you because of the exit of the previous turn. So I had to slam on the breaks haha. I would say that was one of my biggest moments of the race. All my other close calls involved @BLADErunner80

Hello, ALL ---

- Since this is a street-circuit it gives me an excuse to post a video about my local course. Since I was just a 'young-ling' ive been going to the Long Beach GP. Its an exciting all week/weekend event! You get in free on Friday! The course is just down the street from me!

-- Even though IndyCar is the premier class at this event ive always came for the sports cars. American street circuits are rough & a lot of luck is involved. The course is in the Downtown area & people drive on it year-round!.

-- I hope you enjoy this video! I wish the circuit was in GT6!!! You can also pick up a few tips & get an idea of how u might want to approach this Sundays event!

Hello, ALL !!

Hints/Tips - Monaco/Monte Carlo/Cote d'Azur
- This is a short clip of Senna @ Monaco. It's great to watch old video like this, but I also liked this video because it shows one of the many things a driver EVEN of Senna's skill level can fall victim to. He (Senna) has a huge lead & it causes him to lower his focus, this is a very difficult thing to do during a race. Its easy to be instinctual & aggressive, once you change that mind set anything can happen!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Group 'Q' procedure
- During this Sundays group Qualifying session etiquette & procedure will be VERY strict. ALL drivers are required to exercise track awareness, high etiquette & follow ALL listed procedure. If a driver reports poor etiquette from a fellow competitor the incident will be reviewed & the driver at fault CAN receive a one race suspension.

- Start of Group 'Q':
- All drivers have the option to leave pit-stop at start of 'Q'. If you leave at the start, make sure to gap out from other competitors around you during ur warm-up lap.
- After start of Group 'Q':

- If you choose to let the first group of drivers go ahead of you before you leave pit-stop, make sure you exit the pit-lane in a safe manner. DO NOT enter the course in front of a driver who is currently turning a hot-lap.
- Hot-lap procedure & etiquette:
- While trying to enter your hot-lap, if YOU make a mistake that results in damage or losing enough time to ruin ur lap; YOU MUST yield for ANY approaching car in a SAFE & RESPECFUL manner. Failure to do so will result in a DQ from this round & a one race suspension. ALL drivers MUST assume approaching cars ARE on their hot-lap.

Race etiquette/procedure
- Turn 1 procedure:
- While entering turn 1 at start of race; ALL drivers MUST give the position to car that qualified ahead of them.
- Pit-lane exit procedure:
- There is no exit stripe at this course, so ALL drivers are required to exit in a safe manner using respect & etiquette. ANY un-awareness on exit will results in a post race +1:00 minute penalty to drivers finish time.
- Lapped car procedure:
- ALL lapped cars MUST yield/pull over/off racing line when leader(s) are approaching. Failure to do so will results in a one race suspension.

I have a feeling that Sunday's race is going to be a lot like Nurburgring, but even more intense because it's a shorter track. Same strategies should apply: focus and awareness! Let's have a good one, guys

Thermite's Race Report

I put a solid lap down in qualifying, but I wasn't able to back up what I ran in practice. It was still good enough for 5th, so I was satisfied, especially after seeing the pole lap! Wow!

I got a nice clean start and quickly settled into the spot where I qualified. I had the mindset of riding around for the first couple laps to get a feel for my car and the competition. However, the first scare of the race came when I was following gibbsgto on lap 1. He went wide in turn 16 and bounced off the wall. Luckily, I saw it coming, so I was barely able to duck low and avoid him. The guys behind me were not as fortunate. Then the next lap or so, Dan got together with Zeroduck in the chicane I believe. I cautiously snuck by once again and now found myself in 2nd! So everything was going according to plan so far. I maintained a distance of about 10 seconds behind raikkon until the first pit stop. I followed him in with about 39 minutes to go. I switched from RM to RH and made sure to not take more fuel than I needed.

After pit stops, I was now only 4 seconds behind raikkon! This pretty much stayed the same for the entire stint. I had to pit a couple laps early, however, because I apparently didn't quite take as much fuel as I should have. So with 23 minutes to go, I put in just enough fuel yet again and switched back to RM.

After raikkon made his stop, I was now only 3 seconds back! I started charging really hard because I knew my first win was in my grasp, and I actually got the fastest lap of the race up to that point. However, things started to go downhill once we caught lapped traffic. The good news: Mr_Saxo and RP were battling hard in front of raikkon, allowing me to catch him. The bad news: I had to go through those two cars as well. I had to slow up a few times because they refused to yield. I thought, "Ok, that's fine. I'll just stay patient and make my move when I can do it safely." But a lap later, I was still stuck behind Saxo. I thought for sure that he would let me go through the tunnel because he hit the wall in the previous turn, but nope! I had to ride behind him all the way to turn 12. By that point I was frustrated, so I just dive bombed him. We made contact but it was nothing major. So now that that was out of the way, I found myself too far behind raikkon to do anything, so I was back to just riding around. Unfortunately, I made a mistake in the chicane on the next lap and slammed the wall. In perhaps a move of retaliation (or maybe not, who knows), Saxo put my limping SLS into the wall a little later in turn 14. I then came down pit road to repair my damage and top off with fuel. Luckily, I was able to stay in 2nd, and that's where I finished.

Overall, great race yet again! Congrats to raikkon!

Race Report:

Qualifying:
1st

Manage to complete a fairly good & solid lap time at the Monaco circuit. The fact that I match my best time at the circuit made me quite happy, and to have nailed the pole position with such a tight field and battle for the pole, even more.

Race:
1st

I get a good gate-away at the start of the race, and were able to create a little bit of a gap to second placer Dan in the BMW this time, so from that moment onward I started to push to create more gap to the second place. Then I see that an incident happen at the end of lap 1, allowing me to increase the gap, and one lap later other two cars collided putting thermite to second place and behind me. At that moment I was leading him by 8 seconds, then 10 and 11 seconds and then the gap stabilizes in 10 seconds for pretty much the whole first stint, I struggle a little bit more than expected with the tire wear. Then me and thermite pitted at the same lap, switched from RM's to RH's, and put a little bit more fuel than needed wich allowed thermite to close the gap between us.
That second stint were just as expected, no major changes, just a bit slower due to being driving with the harder compound tire.
Made my last pit stop 20 minutes before the end of the race, and putted the RM's, same strategy as thermite, a little bit risky to get to the end of the race with those RM's, but anyway thermite was behind me for like 3 seconds on that final stint, and I was trying to do a fast lap, but in one of those attempts to do a fast lap I encounter with the back markers and didn't was able to complete that fast lap. I delay quite a bit to overtake RP89 and Saxo, they didn't make things easier and allowed thermite to close more the gap, then I managed to overtake both drivers and then thermite struggled to overtake them as well. After that I see that thermite made another stop and I think that was a shame because it could've been an exciting final stint between us, but that's what it is.

Then I drove my race to the checkered flag with almost no fuel and that's how I managed my third win in a row, a very good achievement in this GT3 Club League. :gtpflag:

Let's look forward to the next race wich for sure will be another exciting race. :)

Yeah @Alfa_Avanti44 I wonder what would have happened if I didn't make my mistake after the issues with the lapped traffic. I might have been able to reel you back in, but who knows. I think I just lost my focus a little since I was frustrated that I lost ground to you, and then I misjudged the exit of the chicane, giving me left front and engine damage.
