Fifa´s Player of 2004

So, this forum seems a little dead, but I´ll try it anyway.

Yesterday were announced the three finalists to Fifa´s "Best Player of The Year" award. They are:

-Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Brazilian and Barcelona´s player;

-Shevchenko, Ucranian(sp?) and Milan´s player;

-Henry, French and Arsenal´s player.

So, wich one do you think is going to win this year? None of them have won this award before, and they all had a great season.

I think that is goint to be either Ronaldinho or Shevchenko. I don´t think Henry is at the same level of these two. I would like Ronaldinho to win , but it appears that Shev has won France Football magazine´s "Gold Ball" award this year, so that might mean something.

All three players are World class but I don't feel Ronaldinho has had a particularly outstanding season.

I'm going to predict Shevchenko will win it.

Eh Henry has shown that when it get's tough put your hands on your hips and look moody.

I have a feeling that the bucktoothed wonder will probably be able to win this when he's a little older.

I'd say Sheva, mainly because he's probably one of the best players never to play in a big tournament.

Ronaldinho will win it, he's been playing hot football in Spain and the Champions league. One of the main reasons for Barcelona's renaissance.

Im an Arsenal Fan so im going to say that Henry will win it.

However, Henry hasnt been himself lately so I think Ronaldinho has got this one covered.

It´s not the same award. That was given by a magazine from France. It´s called the Golden Ball.

Ronaldinho won it!

I thought that Shev was going to win this one, must have been a close decision.

Edit: I just watched on the news that Shev actually came in third. Henry got the second place.

So now there´s 4 Brazilians that won the "Best Player of The Year" given by FIFA: Romário, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Lots of "R"s there.

I would have felt way over dressed if I was Shev. But I'm not him so I wouldn't have felt over dressed . Damn.

And I forgot to mention that FIFA also awarded the futsal (I guess it´s indoor soccer in English?) player Falcão as the best in 2004 also. And yesterday I saw on the news that he´s leaving futsal to play real footbal (on the field that is). And he´s playing for my team! São Paulo Futebol Clube. Good luck for him, Ronaldo did this and look at him now.
