Oh well, that's that then...

I hate Italy - they never started playing until they were already behind - in all three games. Despite the fact that I have them in the sweepstake, I'm delighted to see them go.

LOL! WHAT A FAIL on Italian defense for that 3rd Slovakian goal. Nice hustle.

LOL. Goal Quagliarella. This is so much better than NZ v. Paraguay. Too bad they let that other goal slide. Let's see if they can still tie.

I like how Slovakia has turned into fine china as soon as injury time came around. They need to get some spring chickens on defense because that hustle play for the last goal was an embarrassment.

All this feigning injury to waist time really annoys me. I wish Fifa took a tougher stance on it.

What an exciting end of game...:)

And Italy is out:dopey:

But their fail is nowhere near of France disgrace,They surely showed what they are made off(albeit they came last on their group:) ) in the last ten minutes.IMO.

This has been one of the best world cups i've seen in a long time! Each and every game is full of suspense and drama and i can't get enough of it. I love how when someone gets even grazed they act like they were shot! LOL viva el futbol!

Do all coaches just walk off after losses like that? Seems like pretty poor sportsmanship to me.

He probably congratulated the Slovakia coach (who was wearing an awful suit btw) on the sideline before going off. It's not like in the NFL where they actually have to cross the field to greet eachother.

This is becoming almost a remake of 2002 World Cup, with many of the strongest teams being out in the group stage (Argentina, France and Portugal, then), exception that at that time the referees pushing the home teams up (specially South Korea then) was more than evident.

Uruguay, South Korea, USA or Ghana, one of these teams will be so far as the Semi-finals, at least. Who would've guess that before the 11th June?

Tonight, Holland will almost certainly confirm their 1st position and schedule their game against Slovakia, while Japan and Denmark will decide who will face Paraguay.

Tomorrow, we'll have the final two groups decision. Portugal and Brazil play between each other, with Ivory Coast trying to crush (literally) North Korea and hoping that Brazil does the same to Portugal - they need to come back from a 9 goal difference (Portugal's +7 and theirs -2). Possible but highly unlikely...

At night, emotions will be in high levels. Chile vs Spain, Honduras vs. Switzerland. For Chile a draw will confirm qualification and even possibly group win (as long as Switzerland don't win their game). For Spain, the draw might not be enough if the Swiss win. In that scenario, Chile qualifys in 1st, Switzerland in 2nd, sending Spain to join Italy and France. If Spain wins, it is automatically qualified, being Chile than praying for a draw/loose of the Swiss team.

I personally have this feeling since this morning that tomorrow nigth they'll be scheduling Chile vs. Portugal and a Brazil vs. Switzerland for the next stage... I might be worng althoug (likely I am...)

PS: By the way I'm betting on the semi-finals - Brazil vs. Uruguay / Argentina vs. Portugal :)

Uruguay for me, but South Korea have a chance too...

England have made life very hard for themselves - definitely the wrong side of the Stage 2 fixture plan for them :ill: Thanks to Rob Green for that :P Still, if they can beat Germany, then Argentina (or Mexico), then Brazil, they'll deserve a place in the final!

Let's pray You got it right,this time,Sérgio.:)

LOLFrance is out without team from 4 years with no play, some cows players and a monkey coatch, and Italia lose with Lippi, and strong team on paper.
Mort de rire.....

So happy, and it was a very exiting game. Thk Slovakia.

And England Germany hohoho...👍

Unbelievable, we've gone from no goals from a direct free-kick at all to 2, by 2 different players on the same team, within the past 13 minutes!

Well who would say that Japan would made it so easy...
But I don't think Denmark as already thrown the towel, just yet:)

Japan are playing very very well. It's still early to decide, but at the moment they look good for second place in group B....I must admit though...i can't wait for the spanish game tomorrow. That should be an awesome game. Or the Portugal vs. Brazil game, that should be fun to watch!

Japan players ARE RUNNING on the field. It's not like France, Italia and some others team.
So nice play, so nice envy, nice technique too. And minds (2 differents free kicks and shooters, mistake Danemark goal).

Tora tora tora tora !!!

Can't wait to see highlights from the korea game. It wasn't broadcast here.

Nevermind. I've been using ESPN3 since the cup started. It seems like you're trying to teach me how to use it or something as if I'm having a problem watching it. I'm not. I just prefered to watch the HD broadcast because I was playing Mass Effect at the same time.

Just got the impression from that initial statement that maybe you weren't aware of the online options. That's all.

Anyway amazing stoppage time victory for the US. Alot of fun to watch.

Well South Korea did have one against Nigeria, unless the ball bouncing off the pitch first is not considered direct.

I know this Japan team has taken a trashing by the Japanese media but I think they are a lot better then they are on paper. ;) Since the start of World Cup 2010 they have played very well. Other than the loss against Holland/Netherlands (Nothing Kawashima could do about that one other than JUMP and get a hand on it...) they have played well. That call was terrible... :( But... GOAL!!! :D Amazing Japan! Go Blue Samurais! :D They get it done 3 to 1. :D --- Randy
