OMG, I can't believe I said this:

Yeah, you're right. It will be more the other way around. Spain has first in the group with a 2-1 victory and Chile second. The swiss team will either draw or even if they win, the goal score is still in favor of Chile.

I really guessed a scoring result.
*Try to imitate Famine in a cheerful dance, only to fail miserably.*

Despite of that, both sides could have take the win. Ronaldo was pure trouble as always. 👍

Is it just me, or is Ronaldo horrible away from the ball. You can see him walking towards his half the field as the opposition moves the ball towards the goal.

That and his olympic quality diving annoys me.

for me the final board i see:

Uruguay - USA ....................1st Semi final
..................................= Uruguay - Holland
Holland - Brazil............................................................FINAL
....................................................................= Holland - Argentina...= ARGENTINA
Argentina - Germany.............2scd Semi final
..................................= Argentina - Japan
Japan - Portugal

Spain 'r very lucky to win them match against Chili, RED card kill chilian hope to have first place and maybe eliminated Spain with draw match.
Japan'r a really samourai (Allez le Japon !!!) i love them and they have a good change vs Portugal, but i think they will be very tired after that, so i put Argentina winner vs Japan.
Brazil is strong but not so much, Holland fell me large better. We will see it.
Germany win vs England, but they will be tired after it, and versus Argentina, it's no way.
Uruguay have a nice meeting board, but i think it will be very hard against Holland.

Yeah, he's very lazy to be honest, but when he has the ball, he can take three defenders at once and win, so he kind of compensate the laziness with pure talent. Let's see how Portugal will deal against Spain, Brazil doesn't know how to play against defensive teams, Spain does, so Portugal must take the offensive actions too if they want to win. Despite of that, I'll be cheering for Portugal.

Now I'm really looking forward to see Uruguai and Soko, l feel sad because I was cheering for both teams, but I will cheer for Uruguai, they have been very brave and it has been 40 years since they reached the semifinals, it will be historic if they win the next two games.

Agreed,it is going to be an exciting games with two good teams that have been playing very well! Albeit I sympathise with S.K I think probably Uruguay will go through which is a well deserved prize for a Nation who doesn't see their National team in the great stages of World Football for 40 years.👍

I quite like these two teams, and would like both to go through. Unfortunately for South Korea, I have my money on Uruguay...literally, I have a lot of money on Uruguay winning this world cup. :crazy:

You're probably right about this match(already 1-0)👍
Not so sure about the Cup,though:sly:

I think Uruguay are unlikely to win the competition, but at 125 - 1, they were worth a few cheeky quids. :sly:

1-all the score now. This could be going to extra time.

Very good SK team, i love Asian menatity far away than european players mentality. 👍
Uruguay'r realist and lucky. I think South Korea need more experience for be a realist team into 30 meters opponents team.

Nice game, Uruguay took the win but I have to admit that at a certain moment of the game I was cheering for Soko, their midfielders are talented and exchange passes nicely, it's a shame they didn't go through, but congrats to Suarez, what a nice shoot! 👍

USA vs Gana, I've bet in a tie, the US team has a very solid defense and a balanced midfield, Gana has a very offensive team. The game will be very balanced and it will be no easy to score in any team which has Howard defending the goal. So 1-1 it's a possibility for the regular time, the US is likely to advance though.

Great striker that Suarez,gave Uruguay the victory!
Good entertaining game:tup:
Liked both teams,but neither of them has Champion stuff:sly:

I'm betting Ghana will beat USA!:)

Apparently Ghana are the United States of Africa now and the entire continent is supporting them. Yeh.

I'm hoping Ghana play amazingly tonight so we can justify not winning the group and having to play them :lol:

EDIT Just like that, great goal!!!!

I've been getting increasingly pissed off with ITV's commentary. The earlier game of South Korea/Uruguay was a case in point.

ITV have about 12 minutes of preamble in the 30 minute build-up to the match. They get an intro sequence and a bit of VT, then 6 minutes of studio chatter. Then an ad-break and 6 more minutes of studio chatter. Then the teams come out, they do the anthems, an ad-break and the match starts.

Now, this match was significant to the two teams. South Korea have never reached a knock-out phase on foreign soil. Uruguay haven't reached a knock-out phase in 20 years - exactly 20 years, as it turns out. So we'd expect the first 6 minutes to focus on one team and their campaign so far and the second 6 to do the same for the other team. Right? No.

The first 6 minutes was spent talking about England-Germany. Tomorrow. Which ITV aren't even smegging broadcasting. The first couple minutes of the second segment was Argentina and Brazil, with 2 minutes on Diego Forlan's time at Manchester United and a bit of fluff about Park Ji-Sung at same.

At the end of the match - which South Korea were by no means clearly second best - which resulted in a narrow 2-1 defeat, the commentator exclaimed "SO 2002 WAS A FLUKE AFTER ALL!".

🤬. Off. They've just come through a group with one of the favoured African teams (3rd in African Cup of Nations), the 2004 European Champions and the current Olympic Champions with the second most points, second best goal difference and second highest number of goals scored. They've then been narrowly beaten by one of the form teams and current favourites - and become the only team in this World Cup so far to even score against them. I think that merits a bit more respect and credit than "Oh they lost, so any good results in the past were flukey".

ITV suck.

Ghana is simply out playing the USA..If they want to make it to the next round they really must get their stuff together. Oh well, Espana llega a finales contra Argentina, eso si :)

Nice game so far, Ghana is awesome from the midfield to the strikers, but the defense isn't inspiring any confidence. The game is still open, let's see how both teams react to the second half, the game is pointing out to a win by Ghana, let's see if Mr.Bradley can have one of Mourinho's famous insights. :D

And to top it all off, at half time we get commentary on some bloke chatting up two girls in a bar :rolleyes:

Let's see 'bout that...:sly:(ia veremos...):dopey:

Well good game so far and it can go either way...:)

EDIT: Very strong this Altidore:tup:
Things are looking good for USA,let's see if they can skip extra time.

The game is wrapping up now. USA has been lightyears better in the second half, and we scored! Let's see if we can turn this into a win!

Well let's see what the first extra time of the tournament will bring:sly:

Apparently there will be an African team in the quarter finals after all.👍

I don't know why they didn't start Edu. Clark screwed up the first half, and so did the slowass defense and lack of pressure. Hopefully we can equalize here in the 2nd half of extra time.
