Well, Suarez's attitude wasn't nowhere near the fair play FIFA always desires, but it's a valid action to take in a game, he used his hands to avoid a goal and then got punished for it, Ghana didn't used the chance it was given so the score is pretty much settled. ;) Honestly, I would be pissed if my team was sent off the competition in such "smart" move, but football isn't fair at all.

Let's see tomorrow duels, Argentina vs Germany is the battle of titans, I'm waiting for this game, frankly I'm more eager to see this game than I was to see Brazil and Holland. It will be just awesome technique, filled with awesome fights :mischievous: and taunts from both sides. :D

Ohhh man, tomorrow is the day of reckoning. Argentina vs. Ze Germans and Spain vs Paraguay. I truly believe that Argentina can wind against Germany and Spain will also make it to the semi finals. What a World cup 2010 has been!

I think he's out... the amnesty only applies to cards, not suspensions... he will get an automatic ban for the red card, and possibly more than one game since it was a deliberate straight red.

No, because Harry Kewell was only getting a one game ban....it says so in the FIFA rules, so if Australia made it instead of Ghana, you would've seen Harry on the field against USA.....but alas, that wasn't to be. So if Uruguay win the Semi's then Suarez will be eligible to play in the final.

Damn it! Ghans deserved so much more! They played so much better! With Uruguay it was just foul after foul after foul with barely any possession, those last two shots of extra time were so close!

It's really wonderful how differently two persons can view the same game. To me Uruguay were clearly in control for most of the game. The Ghana goal was a lucky shot and the only dangerous player on the African side was Gyan.

Possession was 48/52 BTW, 23 fouls committed by each team, three yellows each. Uruguay had 6 shots on goal, Ghana 8. Uruguay won the corners by 12 to 8.

Edit: And another thing. The penalty should never had happened. It is a clear offside just prior to when Suarez made his first (and correct with his knee) save on the goal line. You can see it at 0:37

As Anghammarad said, I think two of the Black Stars were in a off side position when the ball came into the box. Arguably, they may or may not have been interfering.

I'm looking forward to this afternoon's game, Germany vs. Argentina, hopefully this will be as enthralling as yesterdays games but I would like to see football win.:yuck:

I'm expecting today's games to be highly entertaining, particularly the Germany-Argentina:) which I think has everything to be the GAME of this W.C.
May the best team(football win)👍

Only now I've realized that in a W.C.clearly dominated by South American teams,in the Group phase, there are high probabilities of an European Final.

Finally an afternoon free from work to watch the game which can be one of the Cup's best matches. I hope they play football though, and not some dirty games on each other. Schweinsteiger and Maradonna have already thrown some words at each other...

^^ And that's what will make this game very hot to watch. :D

I predict 2x2, after that and both extra times, penalties, which are more like lottery.

Game.......ON!

EDIT: Note to Famine; FIFA have now accredited both of the Dutch goals against Brazil to Sneijder. That's four in total for him now.

These Germans are really strong,so objectives with the ball.👍

Go Messi,Go Argentina I wanna see GOALS.:)

Nice call by the referee in disallowing the Argentinian goal,4 players off side

Great game by the Germans...
The Argentinian genius skills bows down beyond the perfect German organization and tactical rigor and intelligence of a true team work, although served by also very good players(this Mueller kid is the man of the W.C. so far IMO.

WOW 4-0 What a humiliation...Argentina(Messi ,Maradona) on their knees who would predicted that before the match started!!!

I think you have summed up all of the key qualities of the German team very well there arvore.

I didn't see their last game but if this is how they played then, it's some small consolation. I don't recall seeing a club team play this well for a long time, let alone a national side.

Five stars, absolutely amazing.

4.0.................OMG .... no comment.

I m really sad for Argentina, but Argentina dont play so i m happy than Germany win because it's Champagne football. Thank you Germany for THAT FOOTBALL.

These guys are very cold, strong minded and now with the confidence this indisputable Victory beyond the most favourite team(after Brazil was booted) they are going to be very tough to beat...maybe only Spain with their ball possession strategy can do it.

Nice win by Germany, Mick Jagger jinxing worked again :D.

Also, I just loved how Schweinsteigger played, carried the ball, helped the defense and gave important passes, the man of the match in my opinion. Congrats Germany, looks like a very strong team, even stronger than Holland.

EDIT: Oh yeah, suck that Maradona, this is a lesson you're taking for not calling Zanetti and sticking to the ridiculous Gutierrez and Otamendi.

Sent home the brits, now the albicelste. Waiting for Spain to arrive. :sly:

Germany my favorite for the final win for sure. They are just so strong on all fronts, and Schweinsteiger seems to create so much space and sees every opportunity. Ballack who? Meh, the current German line-up plays incredible football, simply wonderful!

Schweinsteigge was the man! That was impressive playing by the Germans. What a great game to watch! If The Netherlands have to play this team, I will be nervous! :nervous:

What's enjoyable is that nowadays Germany plays a really attractive football. I, like everyone else except the Germans themselves, used to hate the German team for their ugly yet so efficient football but since 2006 they have played a modern attacking game while still maintaining the perfect tactical teamplay. I just cant't get over the fact that someone like Klose can spend an entire season on the bench in his club and then every time that Die Mannschaft plays he's just there as a world class striker.

Penalty for Paraguay... shoot... goalkeeper stop it. but.... It must be rekicked because 3 or 4 spanish players go on goalkeeper area BEFORE the shoot.
It can change lot of things....

50 seconds later Penalty for Spain (litigious). Kick, goal, but it's not valide because some spanish players go on goal keeper area BEFORE panalty shoot. So it's logic to rekick it. Rekick, goal pushes the ball a bite and after the Paraguyan goal keeper touch spanish player. So it must be an another penalty....

I think during this penalty phases, we need a replay cam view referer too. First penalty if goal, can be change LOT OF THINGS....

Lucky Spain.
So... Germany - Spain will be a nice match but i think luck can turn over Spain.

Man thats was a great game Germany vs Argentina, but way too heavy score, but justified;)! Germany really taught them a football lesson! Lets see what happens next at the semi:tup:!

Well, is it just me or Spain isn't that impressive at all? Germany seems to be more balanced.
