FINAL GT6 2016 STORAGETRUNKS GT500 BASE SERIES-Monday Nights 18:30UKFinished

Bumper .. Why is it when the top guys have lag we restart but when it happened to me some races ago no one care'd ....also i am near last every race but get no leg up !
Ok Richie, Niss has approved the change to 570bhp 604pp
from this moment in time.

Had you or Aug said chase view, I would have laughed for an hour

I've tried Cockpit view...it's a pity they couldn't get that wheel out of the way.
Spurgy uses chase cam, and if you dont know who he is, its @Spurgy 777 , also known as TRL_SPURGY

Anyway I have to confess the cockpit was a joke, I know some very fast drivers that use it and I never figured how they managed, just wanted to see howe you all reacted.
@Stephen Vann can you update my cam preference to bonnet? :)

I thought you were having a laugh!

In my opinion, it's always best to be as low to the ground as possible so that you notice the subtle changes in road geometry. In reality though you're close to the centre of rotation, so at least you always have a good sense of what angle the car is at which enables a driver to always anticipate what the car is going to do a split second before it happens.

Bumper view has the effect of maginifying this which is even better.

Can confirm I do, I feel I can get more visual reference points for what the car is doing, which compensates for the lack of feeling through the seat. It's also better for racing as you can see people around you better.

Ahh great question and interesting to see answers:tup:. I'm bumper as I think it offers the most feeling and can see where the car is. A downside is side by side racing can be tricky to know how close you are to your competitor.

Also while we're at it , could we add what controller we all use, wheel or pad as I've wondered for a long time?

I am WHEEL. A nice g29 in prep for gt sport :)

I cannot even go on, this track is even worse than Apricot Hill in terms of corners. Jeez. Too much gravel, touch that for even a nanosecond and you will fly into the other side of the track, looking backwards.

I always assumed frustrated racing drivers, karters, aliens et al mostly used bumper view, with a few deviating to the bonnet!

Same here, always seemed to me aliens are on bumber. I for one don't how you guys manage with out the mirror on top screen, I would be way to nervous not knowing whats going on behind me at all times.

Look at the map to see how far behind the others are. If they are close, use rear view button to look behind. when in battle I usually look behind 2-3 times on every straight, especially right before braking to see if they are attacking so I know if I can turn in or not. It sometimes looks funny because I think they will attack on the inside so I leave room, but when I look back I see them still behind me:P

Oh, and I use a DFGT.
I have a T300RS 599XX alcantara with T3PA, on a GT Omega RS9 rig, but I dont use that for GT6, because when I tried it it felt much better but the times was slower. Concidering GT6 is on its last breath, I cant be bothered to learn a new weel for it.

@Stephen Vann : I looked up the wheelstand pro thing, I cant believe you can actually drive on that thing, thats the most wobbly thing I've ever seen! The wheel must be mooving all over the place!

No, it is mega heavy, it a fantastic thing, although i have my wheel force feedback on 1 or 2 only.
When i first got the wheel, the aliens of the day told me max feedback was best, but it used to throw me across the room.

But also the t500rs pedal set is quite thick metal, and quite heave as well, so the whole thing is very heavy and it never moves for me.

Also i have it setup in my office at home, and it has a tiled floor, so the grip from the rubber supports is very good.

But no its fantastic in my eyes, it is very hard to move it when i am putting it away in the corner.

Yeah on DFGT/G27 max FFB is the way to go, but the T500RS is so strong, its better to lower it a bit.

Wow, never imagined it to be that stable looking at pictures. :P
