I want to congratulate this last podium:
@CrazyJohn Perfect race mate 👍. From the begining I saw that you was faster than me and I had no chance to catch you.
@nissman . Great job coming from behind 👍. What a pity that our battle finished with me in the wall :banghead:
@DrAug . To be on the podium its always a good reason for to be congratulated but when you do it with that Lexus in Monza..... its really amazing.

My race starts good, being second and getting after 30 min a good gap of 9-10 sec with the third position with a high DF (thinking in the rain) . Until suddenly, I saw myself in the ascari´s banker :boggled:. It took me a long time to go out of that banker, loosing the gap and the position. From this moment on, started for me a new race trying to catch Niss. I catched him, but a couple of laps later, another mistake, finished with all my options. Very angry with myself, I tryed to keep the 6th position, but it was not possible for an incident with @luke norris at the second chicane.
Resume: Could be an "easy" second position, but I finished 8th. Things for learning and the rest..... to forget

Well...I had a terrible race too.

At the start I seemed to have good enough race pace which surprised me and was chasing Monkey nicely but not long in,Luke's car (which for me was sat on the grid the whole race) glitched into me as others passed it on the start finish and spun me out at what must have been ~150mph, big damage and big time loss. If the GV incident wasn't fatal for me then that would have been !

And it went down hill from there, including a silly last ditch gamble on wet tyres. I had occasional good spells of pace where the delta to the leader stayed constant but these were rare.

BUT. I finished the race, and I'm better at Monza than I was before.

On a brighter note, I think Monza is all about being good on the brakes, and I think that's what John absolutely nailed this race so well done, and also Aug as well, not only for being quick but to be so utterly consistent :)

Can I or should I buy a new car ? Had noticed after the redbull when I done an oil change and restored body rigidity my bhp was 559 and pp 601. Thought nothing off it simply increased power to 89.7 % and that sorted it. After last night's race noticed the same because I only changed it on set-up A and not C (used C for race A for qualy). I decided to buy a new car today just to check it out and have noticed that in order to get 560 bhp 602 bhp my power % needs only to be set to 89.6%. Setting the new car to 89.7 % only gives me 1 extra bhp no increase in pp. I'm at 16.732 km tried overhauling the engine no change. So repeating my question -

- Can I or should I buy a new car ?

btw I was looking at the reply to have a look at what seemed like to me while racing to be a 'very rough bump' during a overtake. Need better connection. There was no rough bump in the reply it shows it as a tiny touch if even a touch :)

Monkey, after a certain amount of miles the oil needs a change
also then the engine needs a rebuild, but you should see that in pit service with an indicator.

try lowering the power slider to 0% and taking off the tubo tuning.
then add the mid turbo back again and move the power slider back up again.

I have had the same issue before with a car that has done many miles, and a few times
i found it was a new turbo that sorted the pp back to the correct setting.

I keep pushing for this, time and time again, there are very detailed info about the engine detoriation right here on GTP.
@Hastatus has already answered your question here:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/gt6-–-oil-engine-and-high-mileage-hp-deterioration-guide.302338/

The Quick Reference Guide:

0) Oil HP Boost:
- An oil change boosts the stock HP by 5%.
- The 5% HP boost lasts for 200 km.
- From 200 km to 300 km after the oil change the 5% HP boost drops linearly 1% per km (i.e. 1% of the total HP gained from the boost).
- The 5% HP boost does apply to whatever the current HP of the car is: so if power tuning upgrades have been installed on the car these will also receive a 5% boost.

1) Rigidity Deterioration:
- The rigidity ‘begins to deteriorate’ at 500 km and ‘rigidity restoration is recommended’ at 19,500 km.
- Rigidity has no influence on HP.

2) Oil Deterioration:
- The oil ‘begins to deteriorate’ at 5,000 km (which also activates the oil light inside car cockpits and on the racing HUD) and an ‘oil change is recommended’ at around 6,000 km.
- There is a total linear loss of 5% HP while the oil deteriorates over the 1000 km.
- Once the oil has fully deteriorated, there is no more HP loss due to bad oil.t
- An oil change resets the oil indicator’s ‘odometer’.
- Maintaining a good oil status does not slow down or prevent the engine deterioration.

3) Engine Deterioration:
- The engine begins to deteriorate at 5,300 km and an ‘engine overhaul is recommended’ at 10,300 km.
- The engine deterioration continues after the recommended overhaul light turns red (unlike with oil deterioration) so that there is continued HP loss until 15,300 km.
- There is a total linear loss of 5% HP while the engine deteriorates over the 10,000 km.
- The engine overhaul fully restores the engine deterioration ‘odometer’, fully restores the oil’s ‘odometer’, and gives an oil change HP boost.
- The oil deterioration and engine deterioration can overlap (e.g. from 5300 km to 6000 km on the odometer when no oil change or engine overhaul have been performed on a car).

4) Permanent High Mileage Deterioration:
- There is a hidden high mileage HP loss that begins around 10,000 km, but may not be visible until about 15,000 km due to the low deterioration rate and PD’s HP rounding issues.
- The high mileage HP loss is very difficult to calculate due to the lack of used cars like in GT5 and due to the fact that the loss may be as low as 3 or 5 % HP over a few hundred thousand kilometers: e.g. with the Red Bull 2011 Prototype, even with its massive amount of HP (meaning changes happen quicker), the deterioration is only 1 hp every 2806.8 km.
- Current estimates are that a 3% loss would happen at around 130,000 km; a 5% loss would happen at around 210,000 km.
- Cars with less HP will drop HP much less evidently and the issue with the way PD rounds HP makes accurate predictions exceptionally tedious.
- The high mileage HP loss has no indicator light in GT Auto because this HP is a permanent loss, unlike the oil deterioration and engine deterioration HP losses which can always be fully restored.
- The loss is permanent: unless PD releases Car Restore Tickets that reset mileage to zero in the future like they did in GT5.
- This loss is unlikely to impact most players since there are no more used cars and most players are unlikely to put 10,000+ kilometers on their cars very often. Also every car can be purchased new besides Anniversary Edition cars.

Basically, yes, after 10 000 km the engine starts loosing power and there is nothing you can do about it. Buy a new car.

Cheers @TRL_Andromeda , Was trying both new and old cars last night noticed a slight difference in acceleration but set the faster time in the old car (1.43.9) will give it another quick go this morning, new car only, and see if i can beat it.

I don't normally quit races, but it was a catalogue of small things combined which sent me backwards which would have made it rather tiring to continue in P12 alone a minute down. Even with a combination setup, it would have been something running with a pack of cars.

Congrats to John, Niss and Aug for a great results on their own merit!

As lets party could not see Javi on track it seems.
We are switching their finishing pts positions
The result was

INCIDENT REPORT RESULT
CRAZYJOHNISHERE & JFROD52
LAP 47 TURN 2
AFTER CAREFUL REVIEW WE HAVE DECIDED THE FOLLOWING

No action.
John coud have left more room knowing Javi was up the inside.
Also after Javi bumped John he got off the gas and waited for John to recover.
John recovering went onto the green slippy matting, however keeping the throttle full on ended up spinnig.
Javi was off the gas pedal.

We saw the incident as a racing incident without intent, and the fact Javi got off the gas to allow John time
to recover from the bump, also Javi kept into the apex as tight as he possibly could have done, and the fact that john
did squeeze javi a bit not moving over a little to give Javi room, and finally that john did spin on his own.

We do not need further comments on this - we try our best to look at it in fairness and it is now considered closed.

Bumper .. Why is it when the top guys have lag we restart but when it happened to me some races ago no one care'd ....also i am near last every race but get no leg up !
Ok Rich, i dont think the lag was one of the fast guys, i think it was Lets party ? i cant remember though.
But there is no easy way to answer you, i feel bad that you have suffered and we did not do another pace lap.
Its hard to get messages once the pace lap has started, and generally it sorts out by the end of the lap.
But apologies for that Rich.

Also in reply to the legup, it was generally given to those that were off the pace in Q and the race re laptimes.
I talked to you about it, and generally you were on the pace.

Let me speak with Niss, i am sure we can give you a legup Rich dear.

Depends in the case. Bumper if chasing or trying to do very fast laps (and Q), bonnet to hear my engine and third view when having battles. And cockpit when "relaxing" / going slower.

omg I can't believe you switch views in a race / wow you have many talents JOHN
