Final Quick Match Races 2-7-18

I have SRF turned off - I just checked to see whether turning it on made any difference to my times.

On the occasions you find you're faster with it turned on, you could tempt people into using it themselves to try and keep up, and then the people they're racing see the difference in times and turn it on, and then... You get the picture?;)

Honestly that was completely random, which is why I find it so amazing :D! I messaged him after to congratulate and also thank him for a great race as it really did make my night last night!

I've raced him a lot in quite a few QM's. A hard and fair racer most of the time but he's a bugger for slamming the door on you when you get a run on him.:P

I had one of my best ever races in a quick match last night! I was just about to give up on it as I had a few people knock me off on purpose, unclean racing or if I got out in front dominated by a mile! However, this race happened and I was so chuffed to finally get a race as good as this on quick match! Occasionally it actually works :D!

Haven't raced on Midfield since the previous Gran Turismo version that had it so was well chuffed with this fast/fun/clean race :)!

Nice clean racing 👍👍👍

One of the races I was in featured a little D1 Comp action.

Edit: More drift practice in a race I was miles ahead in. This is how to make letting the slower driver have time to finish be fun.

The RX500 is a brilliant drive but it's stupidly hard to get off the line without getting swamped by everyone. They usually finish the first lap by the time I've stopped the wheels spinning. Once you've got the momentum going though, it punches well above it's weight. Great car.

Have you had a try of Praiano's GTR Concept? Fast enough to keep up with most cars and it's mustard off the line at 600pp:

https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ll-x2014-junior.291084/page-134#post-10261859

94.2% power with stage 3 engine, computer, sports exhaust, manifold, converter and intake. 3200 final gear.

It can push a bit under power but on the right line, you can catch plenty of people unawares with the acceleration.

Edit: Forgot to mention, be careful with the crests if you can good exits. It gets pretty big air.

Edit again: If you want to annoy everyone by being close to unbeatable, use @GT_Rajman 's tune and you'll empty the room faster than a meaty fart. Definitely a last resort weapon.

Suspension:
90/65
10.20/14.66
5/5
6/6
7/7
0.0/0.0
-0.05/-0.10

LSD: 50/50
5/5
15/50
5/10

GEARS: VMax 250
1/3,409
2/2,535
3/1.981
4/1.590
5/1,306
6/1,111
2.710

Downforce: 150/280 without spoiler

600PO/623PS/920KG

High 10s and a 3.38 total on my second race plus I could shave a couple of seconds off the total with a bit more practice. I felt guilty though so I left.:embarrassed:

Which car is this for?

It's too good for quick matches. It felt like I was cheating using it.

Had a few more races at Deep Forest today and as soon as I saw the driver list, I said "uh oh...". @HansDampf was already in there driving the NSX Proto...

Forget everything I said about that car not seeming to be as competitive as it usually is as he had it on rails and made some of the best overtakes I've seen. Crazy over speed in the corners that caught most people napping, including me. The poor guy had a target on his back through doing it though as he barely got a single clean race.:grumpy:

I accidentally gave him a tickle on a fast left hander (where I have to slide the car to keep momentum up) that sent him off track as well but in fairness, I was in a 1350KG R8 that I have to slide to keep the momentum up. The slightest tap and he was off track.:embarrassed:

I think it might have been a typo as I've got 623pp@920KG's. The gears match up doing it that way. Don't change the oil either.

Yeah, I've used the ZZII on this one and it's a killer with the right tune. I will have to try out the tune you listed, thanks for posting that and thanks to @GT raman for the original work.

If you use the ZZII just don't get on the curb coming onto the front straight. lol

Best I can get is mid 1.12's with mine. I'll have to try that set up and see.

I'm faster with the Alpine, once I get that pig off the line at least. :)

I've tried the Alpine and just had no luck with it at all...may have to work on my driving skills....lol

I've had a load of tank slappers from that curb and half the straight is gone by the time I stop the pendulum. I've died a few times hitting the wall on on the pit entry as well.

As for the Alpine, as much as I enjoy driving it, I'm not that keen on using it for this quick match. It just doesn't have enough power for me but the X-Bow R is a good alternative and I think it's the quickest car I've used, bar the ZZ. Easy(ish) mid to high 11s.

I've had to put my ZZII in the stockyard to avoid the temptation of driving it. GT_Rajman's tune is overkill against the majority of players in there.

I'll put up a good fun tune in the R8 5.2 Chromeline tomorrow. It'll do 12s with a bit of practice but if you want to release the inner hooligan when you get bored, it's brilliant for 4 wheel drifts. Beautiful balance and about 740 tire shredding bhp.

Hello everybody , first post but been lurking for a few years, I've had some good clean races with a few of the lads on here , like Bone-Tone & Baldy500.
Anyway today i was in a room with a Quick FXX who came second but the winner was a Brazilian in a gold NSX with a time of 3:35.198. !!!! i think it,s the quickest time I've seen on Deep Forest . I wonder how he does it , my Honda felt slow on the straights but quick through the twisties.
My Psn ID is Raleigh-Chopper.Hope to race some more of you guys in Qm.

Glad to see you've taken the plunge and posted, and good fun racing against you last night.

Interestingly, an FXX entered the room after you'd left, and promptly ran a 3.36! The fastest race time prior to that had been 3.45 (seemed to be a very low grip room). The race when the FXX won, I finished second with my fastest time of the night at 3.42, and it was difficult to understand where the FXX was gaining 2 seconds per lap, even if SRF was in use - credit to the driver in any case!

Once the FXX left the room, race winning times reverted to a minimum of 3.45 for the rest of the night.....

I've been in a few races against you (R CHOPPER) using my Digtater account (I think) as your name seems very familiar...or maybe I'm thinking about my old Raleigh Chopper I got when I was a kid...man, what a bike.

I guarantee the Brazilian was cheating by using the SRF bug as I can run the same time offline with SRF turned on. Easy 1.09 laps and even 1.08s are possible using it so if you see those times online, they're advertising that they're cheating. A total waste of time trying to race them as it's impossible for non SRF users to beat them. They can run rings round you with all of the extra grip they've got.

I was racing one of the top 10 drivers yesterday and they could only (only?...)manage a 38 so that gives you the gist.

Don't give them the satisfaction. Refuse to race them by swapping rooms and maybe send a message telling them to turn their SRF off in career mode and learn to race properly.👍

I made a new anonymous account last night to name and shame any driver I see using it. Camera at the ready for the result screens.;)

Hi Kilesa4568 , yes that's me you've raced against, im always in QM,s when i get the time .
Edit To the 3m 35.1s i saw earlier, Just got caned by a German in a ZZ with a girly sounding name who must like Omen films. Anyway he/she just ran 3m,34.5s !!!! . I can only only manage 3m,43s times so didnt bother trying to oertake him , in the end he got bored of winning & he kept shooting off then slowing down brake checking me .Some people online are unreal...... smh

What the hell, last night I saw a custom rear wing on a GTO!!!

In other news, the Lambo Gallardo loaded up to 600pp will run 1m11when driven properly (1m12.2 by amateur's i.e. me) and will toast almost every thing off the start line.
