First Hour Of GT6

If I remember, I may put my PS3 offline to explore some of the game before the massive patch is applied.

Not play GT6! Ya seriously... I'll be in the middle of a move at release time with all my belongings in moving boxes (PS3 & my rig setup with T500RS)... it's gonna absolutely blow! I'll probably buy the game first day, 15th Anniversary of course :) but I won't be playing til just before Christmas... not sure if I should spoil part of the experience and keep an eye on GTPlanet... aaarrghhh...

Poke around the menus and dealerships and then test framerate in cockpit view followed by some laps around Mount Panorama.

I really want to remember the first thing I do on GT6.
I can still remember the first thing I did on GT4: Driving around El Capitan in a yellow Lotus Elise 111R, but I can't remember it for GT5 :(

It will probably be Bathurst in a Ferrari Dino

I'm crossing my fingers that the Ferrari 458 Speciale will be in the game and if so I'll be racing the heck out of that on Bathurst!

Might start GT career mode right away, take the first car I got, go to the first track and simply drive. Right after that I might take one of the cars which are new in GT6 and take a ride in arcade mode around one of the new tracks.

And then I'm going to check out the non-existing livery editor, be sad and return to this forum to whine about it ;-)

Start a new lobby and hope that some of my friends have already joined GT6, too. Let's see what's new in there - create a first championship, save lobby settings etc.

Download Pre Order bonus' and Day One Patch. If that is done in less than an hour, I'll explore what's new to GT. :)

Download the patch :P
 This 👍
And... after that, and the game reboots...

Watch the Intro, forgot that darn it! Spend some time browsing the dealerships, the Used Dealerships in particular - I'm assuming we get them.

LICENSE TESTS!! Gah... need more coffee...

Then get a good solid used car, either Miata or MR2 Mk I or whatever jumps at me like an excited puppy - assuming it's valid for the opening race in GT/Career Mode, and begin my alternate GT Life.

Intall-patch..then cruising around in various menus to see what's what, all the while seeing if there's a way to avoid offline altogether and if not, how to make the most money quickly to acquire cars and race online.

This! ^

I spent a year or so with my first car, a Civic. *Insert sarcastic gasp here.*

It wasn't until the Civic Seasonal did I start buying cars and getting money. $500k for 5 minutes? Cha-Ching!

Well. First I'll spend 30 minutes installing the game.
Download the patch :P

Then maybe some licence tests/special events or a race or two. That'll cover the 1st hour.

I will go to Arcade Mode, pick a supersport if available or just a nice street car at Spa during night - race with (hopefully improved AI) about 20 laps at least.

Before I do anything PD will have to convince me to buy it. So far I'm not hyped the slightest.

I'm gonna spend some time browsing the dealerships. Then, I'm gonna test drive a 2013 Ford Shelby GT500, 2013 SRT Viper & 2012 Nissan GT-R (in that order) on Bathurst lol.

If it's like GT5, a good 3/4 of that will be sitting watching an install percentage tick slowly upwards. If there's a day-one patch, that and the intro will probably eat up the rest of that hour.

But, uh, after that? I'd probably do licenses first, as always.

I reckon it will come in as a DLC.

Ah, Spa at night... it will be like reliving the Spa 24 hour race.

Pretty much sums it , the first part, but I think I will do the licenses test first time

Install it. Look at the car lots both new and used and see what is going to be a good 1st car.

After the boring changing of settings I will off to the Dealerships to watch the demos of the new cars - Audi R18 TDI '11 is my most wanted currently.

When that is finished I will hop to Arcade to do a few laps of Cote d'Azur despite not being a huge fan, as I always try this first in games as I am a sucker for tradition, then I will try some of new circuit and car combinations. Few hours in and it will be time for Licences.

Grab something RWD from recommended menu, and see how Paddock at Brands Hatch feels.

Well. First I'll spend 30 minutes installing the game. Then 5-20 minutes downloading and installing the release day update. Then 5 minutes enjoying and getting hyped by the AWESOME intro. And then! 5 minutes of checking out the new dealership or something. Damn, I won't even get to play in the first hour .

First I'll download the blue cars, paint chip, race suits, helmets, and avatars and then some of that.

Watching the game install. Then I'll spend the next hour watching it continue to install. After that, spend about an hour or two downloading and watching the patch install. After that, I'll probably have to go to bed so that I can work the next day, and not get to do all the license tests until the following evening..............

This is how game launches go for me..........
