What is with all these replies about installing the game? The OP specifically said playing the game. Installing the game and downloading the update isn't playing.

First I'll check the new car dealership(or wherever the cars are), then drive the R18 around Sarthe, then check out the new online stuff. Can't wait for the 6th!

Install the game then come on here while thats installing to see the list of standards converted to premiums. Then if the supra isn't premium I'm turning off the console during the install then returning the game then sending a hate essay to PD via a thread on gtplanet.

From memory the initial GT5 install took nearly an hour. I'd say we're seeing some residual resentment of that, and fairly rightly so. I don't think I've ever had a game take longer to install on any platform.

Hopefully this aspect of GT6 is improved also.

I'm most likely going to do what I did in every gt I've owned. Test out everything. Change the settings to my standards. Turn on the surround sound. Plug in the g27 and run some intense laps in arcade mode... I still remember me and my dad bringing gt4 home for ps2 then doing all I just said. The first car I've ever driven on any gt game was the 05 ford mustang in its beautiful powder blue. What a thrill ride that was...... This game always brings back memories of when life was simpler

-Watch the intro, if it has one
-Familiarize with the menu screens (Car dealerships, GTAuto, etc.)
-Buy a cheap Miata
-Go to the Sunday cup or the first competition you're allowed to participate

All right then. I'll be attempting to drive fast using a wheel.......then occasionally browsing through menus which are supposed to be better to navigate.

I might see the Supra should become premium if possible PD have some time to model it.

It probably will. It'll be fifteen minutes of elevator music playing over video of automotive factory workers driving to work, getting dressed in the locker room, punching in, and working on the assembly line. Then it shows trucks driving a load of cars down the highway. Finally, it climaxes with a car dealer trying to convince a soccer mom to buy a Skyline.

That sounds more like the Gran Turismo movie.

Don't forget about the STi spinning out at a weird spot on the track, kicking up a very very very small amount of smoke that you wish PD spent a bit more time on making it look a little denser.

Intall-patch..then cruising around in various menus to see what's what, all the while seeing if there's a way to avoid offline altogether and if not, how to make the most money quickly to acquire cars and race online.

Well this is something we really have in common.

I'm gonna get my 1,000,000Cr from Amazon, and just hope that I can make enough money racing in my online room to finance my online career.

I really want to keep my "Game Progress" at 0%. Screw the AI!!!

Luckily I'm all about the slow, and cheap 400pp to 450pp street cars.

OMG I can't wait!

I will do remote racing if I have to, I can do that from my office computer. I just hope that is still around.

God I hate trying to drive past those AI zombies.

I will do what I always do, spend the hour analysing every possible starter car to find which one I like the most or which can take me the longest.. When I finally choose a car I'll probably go check out the customisation and hopefully see that they have scrapped the horrible paint chip system or at least improved it to make it less horrible.

After installing and watching intro, I might get annoyed if - similar like in summer 2013 GT Academy quick lap with - control layout I don't like. So after that, I will go into settings and reconfigure wheel buttons and set driving aids off.

If following GT4 and GT5 traditions, I do some licenses first. Then starting career with normal cars.

If they're going to do something like the silly intro that was in GT5, I'd prefer if they did a timelapse of someone buying a clunker and restoring it to glory. At least that would embody the sense of pride and ownership that GT is supposedly about.

I never thought of that:idea: I just hope there aren't any cars that are only unlocked by ASpec that I really want. If it's possible to do, I might just set that as a goal of my own. I see a club in the making here:idea:

During the first hour, I am going to let the downloads work, and make a sammich. Once all that is done, and eatin, I will go and gawk at the cars and drool, then clean up that mess, and drive them like mad. Depending on hows the regulations are, I may just use a 15th edition car to win the races.

I'm gonna create a few tracks if the track maker is up and running at launch.but I'll do the same I always did on gt is buy a good cheap car and grind.

After the download, I'll watch the intro video. Then check the cars and tracks in Arcade Mode. After that head to settings and tweak the controls and audio/video. Then get my pre order bonus and start up again.

Watch the intro, buy a 1-million-Credits car from the bonus (that i won't use for GT Mode as well as the anniversary cars) and then start GT-Mode with 20.000 Cr and a Mazda Mx-5

Domestic B licence and/or Karting challenges so I can get some more money and unlock some events so I don't have to drive Kei Cars for too long. While I appreciate that they can be fun, the majority just make want to fall asleep!

By a car, check out the new tuning options, and do aspec races to see if the A.I improved.

Unfortunately, my first couple hours of gt5 were spent in the dounloading stage then, dlc packs, then getting into a TC challenger. It sucked. And the sound was horrid!. But in gt6, I will definitely go to the 'ships and hope for a full dealership of 1200 cars. Not the UCD.
