First Hour Of GT6

Play FM5 while the newest version of the game downloads.
I'm pretty sure I spent the first hour of GT5 just looking at all the cars in the dealer tab. I'll do the same in GT6 and then see the extent of modifications on whichever car I decide to begin GT6 with.

1) Install / download patch/update etc
2) Turn off the music, everywhere in the game
3a) Violently bang my head against the wall at the first sight of museum cards
3b) Have an all night party once it's been established there's no museum cards

The first things I'll do in GT6 is checking out the A-Spec mode and scrutinizing if the AI has improved, and also hoping that more of the races use maximum 16 cars on-track.

I'm also curious about how the integrated A-spec/B-spec driving experience will be like i.e. having the B-spec driver take over and drive stints on the longer races, but that will be well past the first hour mark.

Buy any RWD car I can afford. Go to track maker. Discover that it isn't released yet. Proceed to set my PS3 on fire.

Or...

It is out on release and all is jiffy.

wow, people really don't like museum cards lol

1) Don't buy it in the first weeks, waiting the game to be patched and saving some bucks in the process.
2) Now in day 20, DL and install the PS3 update, PS store for redeeming a code and GT6, then configure everything based on what I like and what's on this site (wheel settings and others). That's the first hour.
3) After such boredom, go out and try the game the next day, with beer and sandwiches. Watch the intro, get familiarized with menus, car list, make all music available for menus (this takes a while) and so on. No playing time.
4) Day 22 from release date: license tests or equivalent, for getting cars. Quite tedious.
5) Day 23: try the new tracks, time trial.
6) Day 24: finally start playing A-spec, when I should be at the beach.

After downloading the patch, I'll head to the dealer area to see which cars are available. Then I'll get some time on the tracks in arcade mode to get a fill for them, then to the in game portion to see how it has evolved from GT5. After getting some credits I'll buy the cars to my fancy then off to see what they'll do.

The patch will be available the day GT6 is released, it has already been made clear.

They won't be selling a patched retail version and at a reduced price after 3 weeks of being on shelves. Besides, how will you know if yours is patched or not? Or were you talking about PD pushing a patch via PSN? As an avid GTPlanet member, you've got to he fully aware that a LARGE day 1 patch has already been announced?

I can hardly wait to see the difference pre and post peach. I'll be installing the game offline first to see how they botched the game for those without internet dependency.

sounds like a good idea you should tell us your findings!!

Of course patches will not be included, I'll download them. My reason is I don't want to play the unfinished and frustrating version, since by that time there will be at least two major patches (the announced one and a bug fix) and there won't be common first week network issues.

Nice bonuses are by that time prices will lower just a bit like in all games (no need for a second release) and there will be substantially more info about the game, for example the best approach and noteworthy cars.

Also I'll add the first DLC pack should be around that time.

All that leads me to believe I'll have more fun playing the game some time after it is released. Furthermore, we all know it is going to change substantially in the first months (already announced delays on features), so if it doesn't have an online pass I don't see a reason why not to buy it used in 2014 unless for hardcore fans.

I'll be doing the license tests and special events the first few hours until I gold them.

Is it bad that my company wants to take my wife and I to a local resort near Mt. Hood on Dec. 6th and I don't want to tell her about it?

Tell her it's a special event for wives only:idea:

Download the patch, install game to the HDD and go straight for the Scion FR-S, regardless if it's the 15A or the regular one.

Open up the game download the DLC might give away the mil .cr on youtube as a giveaway

and get stuck into the GT mode, and see what the events are might have to fone in work and call a sickie tho :(

"Hey Brain, how will we start the GT6?"
"The same way we always do, Pinky.. License tests, MX-5/Miata+ sunday cup!"

I'll probably scour around the menus, check out the dealerships, maybe do a few arcade races on the new tracks. Then I'll finally enter GT mode, buy a starter car and rush off to begin my career. This time I'm going for a higher win ratio... I don't think I'll go so far as to quit a race I can't win, but will choose cars and settings wisely and drive very carefully.
Did my GameStop pre-order yesterday, I'm so excited! Except that today I learned that GTP has retail/supporter links to buy the game, which give GTP a portion of the proceeds... sorry I missed that. Oh well, I'm still excited and I still support GTP!

Work my way up to 375.000 credits so I can buy the Pink Phantom II.
