FITT BTCC Championship - !! Driver Spot Available !!

I had connection issues as well @CyKosis1973 will tell you.:banghead: Just got done running some laps with @brian wolf in the VW and me in the Ford, and once again they seemed pretty equal, with some revisions to mine to keep up and when his wheel didn't recalibrate! Like I said Brian, I've got a controller for you to borrow!:mischievous: I think it's coming together quite well Cy.
And sorry for just leaving like that @brian wolf , the daughter came off her horse and the phone call from the Mrs. sounded like her head had fallen off. Everything is ok, just a mom's natural instinct to overreact...bless em!
Glad everything is ok mate.👍 The VW and the Ford did seem pretty equal. My VW not really tuned as I haven`t made contact with @MidNightGT yet. He`s not been on since Tuesday. @CyKosis1973 how long do we give him to get in touch?

 Funny you ask that...when racing Cy I put on that tune and it rotated too well. Needs major adjusting for the sweeping turns, flat floor, and upgraded tires. But like he said....being steady and stable are going to be key for the best results over the 3 races. Besides I know my tuner is going to work his magic and build me a car that's on a rail!:D As for the transmission... can't go wrong with @praiano63 guide to start.

Here is a snapshot of the available ratios on Xtrac 516 Sequential 6 speed used on BTCC. The 1st and 6th BTTC Spec Ratio can't be reached on my VW Scirocco, so I used the other available ratios offered. This will be a good starting point for tuning the transmission. I found that the VW Scirocco ratios work very well at all tracks with only lower final needed at Indianapolis Road. The 3.066 final drive ratio is taken from other Xtrac sequential series.

I have opened another room, it should stay open until at least 3 AM GMT. Room ID is 1472-6399-8665-9413-0352. Same as before, ID will be removed when room closes. I may not always be active in the room but I am still watching the screen.
Thanks for hosting. It was great finally getting to run a track day with you guys. It has definitely gave me some insight to how outgunned the Focus is stock for stock comparison.

Although the BMW seems like the car to beat, at least if weather does not rear its ugly head. That Civic will be a fierce competitor though. Just by running stock transmission, stock LSD, stock suspension and stock brakes while being in the proper power and weight requirements it shot a 1'07.17x I believe at Silverstone with 50% water on track. Pretty good in my books there. The Ford was down 1.2 seconds at the end of the session.

It was fun to be able to run with everyone also, I went by what @CyKosis1973 said from when he tested, 50% weather and surface water.

When we raced 50% at Silverstone I ran a 1:17.3xx in the Ford so that's pretty close to your time. To be fair that was a few tenths faster than average though.

had some problems connecting to scotty but we're in a random room. Bit hard when others are using accords etc and killing you so does anyone have a target time for brands indy?

Easily did low 1:34s at Brands Hatch GP, mid 1:01s at Silverstone National, and 50s at Brands Hatch Indy
I have a room open if you want to test there. One person driving around with other cars, but I don't see him as being a problem to my testing.

I am currently on BH GP but I can switch to whichever track, and the other guy just left so it will just be us FITT people.
as I left other room family started kicking up so i'm gonna have to go sort it out. will be on tomorrow for some laps 👍

Anybody using the ford, it's not a bad little car. But it has some problems, lacks a bit of torque but will need to see how it does against others
