On my last test session, the VW made it into 18s 1st sector at Brands Hatch Indy/GP, joining Honda and BMW that I built. The VW went on to 49s lap at Brands Hatch Indy, just as quick as BMW and Honda. This will be very interesting race :) Let's hope Ford can keep up 👍 They are all very close to each other in terms of sector times.

The VW also managed 1:07s flat with the tune posted before ( front heavy ) at Silverstone National, 50% Water on track, 100% weather ( heavy rain ) - 51F track temp ( cold ) and 1st lap cold tires. Should be good for at least 1:06s with higher temp ( track and tire )

This is Tony. He is British. I don't remember his last name. He ran into me four times on this day. The wheel mark on his door is mine. In this shot, it may look like I am trying to get back to his bumper to let him know how I felt about the situation. Instead, anger turned to opportunity and I got a run on him as he was mesmerized by the beauty of my obnoxiously bright green paint all big in his mirror. I faked the punt and drove right around him on the outside and was set to overtake until, on corner exit, Tony took me to the grass. I kept my foot in it, but traction with all 4 wheels in the grass is a little less than 4 wheels on tarmac so I lost by the length of his front bumper.

I followed Tony through the cool down lap, about as close as you see in the picture and straight to his pit box. I could see the race stewards watching us from the tower so we only had a discussion and not a fist administered lesson. Tony was confused to why I was so upset. It's racing, right. I tried to explain to him that this is SCCA amateur racing and there are rules against blatant contact. One of the other competitors had walked up behind me during this part of the conversation. I am not sure if he, my friend, was there to calm me down or to help kick Tony's butt. He said, "You're not going to get through to him. He has a thick skull (he's stupid) and he raced in the British Touring Car Series in Europe." He then handed me the protest papers with Tony's name already written in the complaint line.

we will paint ours purple and end up with 2 hulk themed cars at the end of the race if that how you want to do this lol;)

I usually try to race as cleanly as possible. But this time I'm going the full SpiffyDeezy. So remember, if we have contact it will always be your fault!

I don't cheat. I use all available options that most people consider unethical. :mischievous: :D

Jump on in when you can, your name is on the door now :sly:

Laguna Seca at the moment, seems like a decent track for a pre-season shakedown. Any objections?

Now that I can see your room, it tells me the room is full even though there are 12 spaces left. GG servers.

... Two console resets and cache cleared, still won't let me in. When will this game ever work?

Edit: Finally :) nice meeting you guys, fun cars to drive too.

Yeah, sorry about that. It's worth saying that people should have each other on their Friends List before race night. Otherwise you'll likely have problems with people being able to join :ouch:

Nice to see you and the others on 👍 I had thought about using Laguna Seca as our pre-season track, but the incline is still a bit of a killer for the Ford...

Tuner needed urgently, my tuner has had to pull out due to family illness, Help!!!
All the best to your family, Chris...
I would want to help, as I have made a base tune for the BMW :) But I already have a driver, are we allowed more than one driver or can I help other driver providing whatever help with the car/tune ? @CyKosis1973
I'd rather people only carried out one job for the moment, Sir, but I'll bear your offer in mind.

I hope not, but I have a feeling we might struggle to hold onto Nail as well. So if there's anyone else who is watching the thread and would like to throw their lot in, or if there's someone who has already offered their services that I've forgotten, please step forward...

I think the reason why he brought this up is to run a harder tire on the rear of the car in order to offset rear grip to counter understeer, at least that would be something I would test out.

Thanks for the quick testing, and yeah, something like what miata13b said would help too.

Sorry for not answering this sooner. I'm going to mandate that a single compound is used front and rear, under different circumstances, I might agree, but I don't think you'll need to resort to cross compounds for this event 👍

I'd like to try a couple of full length races tonight on SM tyres, if anyone would like to join me. I think the time differential between SH and SS will be too much to overcome. However, having watched the tyre wear for the FWD & RWD cars last night, there's a possibility that if it introduces a tactical element, we could offer the option to run SM or SS tyres. Stay tuned...

If there are simply not enough tuners and drivers, would you accept a one man team? If it ends up in that position, I'll gladly run some extra ballast or power restriction as a punishment.
Despite Ridox's kind offer, I think I might prefer this option to having one person working two teams. If we can't muster up the extra bodies, I'll take you up on the offer, thank you...
