You must have some different way of figuring averages for lap times..
Lionheart2113 Lap times
84.467+83.968+83.829 (/3) = 84.088

Oppositelock Lap Times
84.767+84.164+84.060 (/3) = 84.330

Xande1959 Lap Times
85.378+83.925+83.739 (/3) = 84.347

I think I need to re-read how FITT has the formulas set up so I can understand it fully.:dunce:

  1. @Otaliema | Tune here

Lap time; 1:26.199 Drivers Choice; 7.5

Impressions of the tune; This being my tune I’ll list what I didn’t like about it.

Was a little unstable under braking and the exit power oversteer was a problem in a few of the turns. The cars lack of turning ability when coasting really hurt it as precise throttle and brake control was required to make this car rotate well. Left foot braking helped a lot but didn’t solve all the problems. It has a narrow grip window, if you’re in the window the car sticks to the ground like glue, if you push out or drop below it, you’re heading to the wall either due to the oversteer or understeer present throughout the track.

  2. @Bowtie-muscle | Tune here

Lap time; 1:27.491 Drivers Choice; 7

Impressions of the tune; I couldn’t quite seem to keep this car going in straight on an aggressive exit. I would always lose the tail. Had great turn in and grip through the corners. Was stable at speed and under braking.

  3. @Ridox2JZGTE | Tune here

    Lap time;1:28.596 Drivers Choice; 6.5

Impressions of the tune; I spent more time off the track than any other car it was very light on it’s it feet and that took a lot of getting used to, once I did I found it very quick, with great grip from mid to exit, turn in was a bit light, but that was easily compensated for with with trail braking to rotate the back end around. Great car to improve your braking and throttle control with, it gives you instant rewards and punishment.

  4. @brian wolf | Tune here

    Lap time;1:26.321 Drivers Choice; 9.0

Impressions of the tune; This car had great grip throughout the turn, I could lay it out and have it stick, The only down side was the long braking zones I could hear the ABS working overtime at the end of the back straight. Over all very fun car to drive.

  5. @Lionheart2113 | Tune here

    Lap time;1:25.632 Drivers Choice;9.1

Impressions of the tune; Fantastic grip from start to finish in the turns on this car. I knew I could throw it into a corner and it would stick, as long as I didn’t mash the gas at the apex the tail stayed in place. The short transmission actually helped this car in my opinion, the lower speed on the back straight kept the car from lifting off allowing for later braking in the corner, and also gave the car incredibile acceleration.

  6. @shaunm80 | Tune here

    Lap time; 1:29.007 Drivers Choice;8.0

Impressions of the tune; For not having a flat floor installed this car was very responsive and stuck to the ground. That being said, there was a touch of understeer present in the car, but was easily overcome with the power oversteer in most corners. Very well done sir.

  7. @DolHaus | Tuner here

    Lap time;1:27.057 Drivers Choice;7.8

Impressions of the tune; Good tune, little bit high on the understeer in the high speed speed sweepers. But the high speed tight turns it was the best of the lot. I managed turn 1 at 195+ km/h every lap, turn 2 at 200-210 km/h most of the time. It had great stability under braking, but was a big hammer with the throttle. hit it to hard too soon and forget saving it, your trying to keep it off the wall at that point.

  8. @Gino Caberlin | Tune here

    Lap time;1:27.025 Drivers Choice; 7.9

Impressions of the tune; Solid tune. Great turn in, great exit grip, was lacking mid corner which the only part that slowed it down. Transmission could have been a tad longer but over all very well balanced. I only spun it if I hit the edge of the grass and lost grip.

  9. @krenkme | Tune here

    Lap time;1:29.387 Drivers Choice; 7.2

Impressions of the tune; This was loose in the tail, and fast in the straights. I’m sure someone with better drifting skillz will rock and roll with this. It wanted to slide out in every turn but it was stable doing it. The only complaint I found was this car was just looking for an excuse to get it’s tires off the ground and this track provided it with plenty.

  10. @787bcgr | Tune here

    Lap time;1:26.436 Drivers Choice; 6.5

Impressions of the tune; While this tune was fast it was hard to drive. Even a small mis step with the throttle or hitting a bump wrong and away I would go into the dirt or the wall. Overall it felt very balanced, well done. Just not my ideal tune too knife edged for my tastes except in hot lapping.

  11. @MrGrado | Tune here

    Lap time;1:28.667 Drivers Choice; 7.0

Impressions of the tune; Solid tune, just a bit too much understeer throughout the car to be really fast. It did what I asked when I asked it too. Stable in a slide, excellent rotation from apex to exit. was just getting the car to the apex was the hard part. The brakes were a bit on the strong side resulting in a lot of lock up under heavy braking, even with abs on the tires would lock and slide out.

  12. @xande1959 | Tune here

    Lap time;1:26.720 Drivers Choice;8.2

Impressions of the tune; Stable, fast and grippy….As long as you had your foot in it. Lift off understeer so was bad that the car almost didn’t turn without throttle use. It worked very well for this car, I could lay into it and know that it was going to stay the line.

  13. @oppositelock | Tune here

    Lap time;1:26.309 Drivers Choice;7

Impressions of the tune; Good tune, solid, good turn in, but lacking in mid and exit grip to me at least. Was easy to put into a spin coming out of a corner, so good throttle control was needed to make this car fast. I put it all together on lap 2 of all things and laid down that lap. Spent the next 8 laps chasing my line lol. It didn’t like breaking at the end of the downhill the front tire turned red every time.

  14. @Motor City Hami | Tune here

    Lap time;1:26.505 Drivers Choice;9.5

Impressions of the tune; This was an extremely solid tune, I could throw it into a corner lay into the gas and it would stick. I felt confident in it. and it showed I had more clean laps in this car than any other car. The time is not reflective of the joy this car brings to the track. I’m not sure what could have been done to make this faster, I could hang most corners faster than any other car I just couldn’t get that last half second out of it for some reason.

  15. @DaBomm4 | Tune Here

    Lap time;1:27.499 Drivers Choice;7.1

Impressions of the tune; This was an interesting tune. It was a slip grip tune. Soon as I stopped trying to do a grip run or a drift (with my sad sad drifting skill) run I put together a fast lap and could tell the car wanted to go faster but I lack the skill to hold the partial slides in the corners. The gearing was way too long for the track.

@Otaliema thanks for the review but you failed to listen to me. Told you to drive it fast:lol::lol:. Did you keep it out of second gear on exit?

Most of the time gearing is a killer for me, I just like them long I guess.

Man I tried but I couldn't keep it straight I was in 3rd most of the time but the narrow power band made it hard to stay there in the slower corners

Yeah, that's fair enough. I did say I did not think it would be fast, was hoping for better DC tho. Oh well, the better tunes are above me.

 @Otaliema 👍 I`ve never done much testing with brakes. I know about changing the balance for corner entry but I just use bigger numbers for heavier cars or bigger contact patch? Am I missing something?

It's up to the tune really after your happy with the tune start reducing the pressure by 1 click front and back till the the tires are just squeaking not screaming that is IMO the best spot breaking distance generally goes down and control goes up because the the abs is not fighting you to stop the car and let you turn as well. Also racing breaks are way over kill for most cars below 650 pp
Eg I have a 300pp cv that has 8/9 pressure and a 750pp race car with 4/2 so it just depends

I think my gearbox may be hurting me a bit. I do not spend much time tuning gearboxes. The driver feedback so far reports a pretty well handling car. I did this gearbox wit the tallest (least torque) that I could because of the high hp of the Viper. Maybe this gearbox would have been better on a longer course?

Appreciate the driver feedback so far. Thanks as always to those who spend so much time trying our tunes.

Just did your car last night. All i have left is the improved rigidity cars and im done. I can safely say that after figuring your car out, it can take every corner faster than every other car. But... I could not put that perfect lap together. I prefer the longer gears because the power and torque is more useable. So far, I think you are in 2nd place in my testing by less than a 10th.

Okay here is my times:

Otaliema:

1:24.784

The issue I had with this car was understeer - it tended to be off-throttle and under braking - a few laps in I got comfortable with the braking points and found some more time, but it just felt unresponsive in the corners.

DC - 6

Bowtie-Muscle:

1:24.565

Very much what I was expecting a Viper to be like, not too loose, very nice in the corners but was not able to be as smooth as with Brian Wolf's which was pretty similar.

DC - 8

Ridox:

1:26.173

Main issue again was understeer - this time it was on-throttle understeer and under braking. The brakes didn't feel powerful enough and I couldn't get comfortable over 15 laps, the best time was on lap 4 strangely. LSD felt like it was causing a lot of the understeer and it was harder out of the corners because of the high Accel. But to just drive it felt okay, trying to find the limit was pretty much impossible.

I tried with ABS 0 and found the brakes locked up all the time, switched to Standard brakes and found it better, but it locked up occasionally and it was still no faster. If I was to use this tune myself in the future it would need to be adjusted to my own driving style.

DC - 5

Brian Wolf:

1:24.342

Much like Bowtie's but better - more responsive, better under braking and less oversteer meant it got through the corners that bit faster.

DC - 9 (if something better doesn't come along)

Lionheart:

1:23.968

It was a hard fought 23, but it felt good when I finally got it after so many restarts - initial fastest lap was 24.525, but I felt it could go much faster (irregardless of MrGrado's video, lol) so I persevered and despite all it's other problems in the right hands it's probably the fastest one here, but just not for me.

I kept bouncing off the rev limiter on the straight which although minor the sound was rather annoying, the brakes didn't feel comfortable for me, and getting back on the gas was difficult and had to be done just right. It also pushed in the high speed corners a little and was wild over the bumps, more than the others it seemed.

This was a beast I couldn't tame, but despite being so unruly it was fast.

DC - 7

Shaun

1:27.141

Three issues with the tune which prevented a good time -
  • Wheelspin - even in 3rd gear going round a mid-speed corner
  • Understeer - on entry meant braking earlier, but then mid-corner
  • Brake lockup - high brake balance was a hindrance here
But despite that it was okay. Maybe flat floors were also part of why it's slower than the rest.

DC - 4

DolHaus

1:24.451

Wow, I 🤬 love it - this car just feels AWESOME, I feel this is a Jeremy Clarkson car and a car I can really enjoy sliding round the corners like they're not even there. I wish I could've gone faster because it just felt really good to drive on the edge. Not really a grip car, but I didn't spin it out much at all. Even if the brakes did lock up on downhill bits I didn't care because it held a slide really nicely as if it was made for that kind of shenanigans.

Probably not a car for everyone - but I loved it.

DC - 10 (Because it's the most fun one yet)

Gino

1:24.827

A really nice tune, very good to drive - lovely coming out of corners, and lovely entering corners in 2nd there is a nice slide but most corners are fine in 3rd - the gearing is a bit odd though, and that's the only thing I'm not keen on.

DC - 8

krenkme

1:26.160

I like it, but I don't really love it - it's not that it's slow, it's no slouch, but it DOES NOT LIKE BUMPS. It can get air pretty easily, plus wheelspin out of corners means a hard time battling the car throughout the lap rather than just enjoying chucking it into the corners. It's quite snappy let's say, but not much fun, I'm sorry.

DC - 7

787b

1:25.113

Throttle input had to be so delicate so the car wouldn't just do a 180 on exit of a 2nd gear corner which in turn meant a more tentative laptime. Though every other part of the tune felt great.

DC - 7

MrGrado

1:26.527

See above re throttle input only far worse. I don't know how you could've gotten a 24 on DS3 with this tune.

And again, good tune otherwise - more oversteer on entry for this one though which wasn't a bad thing.

DC - 6

Xande

1:23.925

A fantastic tune - different from DolHaus's because this is a grip tune, but no less fun and effortless to drive.

Very well done.

DC - 10

oppositelock

1:24.164

An extremely well-balanced tune - outstanding.

Some minor oversteer on exit, but not worth quibbling over really.

DC - 10

Motor City Hami

1:24.792

Another great tune, well-balanced but a little bit skittish on some of the bumps and a little bit of oversteer on the exit, but other than that a very nice tune.

DC - 9

DaBomm

1:26.634

It's not a car - it's a Zeppelin! The slightest bump and it will fly. Though granted it does have a bit more agility than a Zeppelin - it'll oversteer under braking into most corners, quite severely at times, but then in others it will refuse to turn - so again quite Zeppelin-like.

And it goes without saying - slow too . . . like a Zeppelin!

"Like a G6 Zeppelin!"

DC - 5

A fast but unforgiving tune. Nicely geared and great on throttle. But, lift off during the corner and it will push wide.
This made the margin for errors very small at every corner. But, get a rhythm going and its a nice drive. Well done.

@Bowtie-muscle
Time - 1:25.369
DC - 7

This tune rides the bumps nicely, turns in nice, with a little understeer mid corner and will try to kill you on exit
if you`re not gentle on the loud pedal! But, good fun. Just not as easy as some to lay down some tidy laps. Well done.

@Ridox2JZGTE
Time - 1:26.945
DC - 6.5

Good in the slower corners, With nice exit traction. But, understeer in the fast corners ment I was never going to make
up the time lost by -70bhp. Springs and dampers seemed very well matched. But, were just too stiff for the track.
Well done.

@brian wolf
Time - 1:25.538
DC - 7

After not driving this for a week, this was a bit of a shock to the system! Still a nice tune, just a bit too aggressive
on turn it.

@Lionheart2113
Time - 1:25.241
DC - 9

An awesome tune that just glides over the track. Very easy to drive fast and consistant. Gearing just a smidgeon too
short. As I came out of the left hander at the bottom of the hill sideways most laps. I think a bigger 3rd gear would have
sorted that. Well done.

@shaunm80
Time - 1:28.041
DC - 9

Another superbly balanced chassis from shaun. I knew exactly what my inputs to the steering and pedals were going to
do. I drove the nuts off this and it took me 8 laps to crash. Far longer than any other tune here. A tighter diff and a
flat floor would have made this a contender. Well done.

@DolHaus
Time - 1:25.943
DC - 8

This tune has a nice balance to it. But, trying to tame a beast with all that torque was never going to be a relaxing
drive! Fast in all the corners, just not on the same lap! Well done.

@Gino Caberlin
Time - 1:26.289
DC - 8

A nice tune to drive, this. It changed direction well, if a bit soft to have absolute control over weight transfer.
And some inside wheelspin hurt exit traction. Felt faster than the time it gave, but fun to drive. Well done.

@krenkme
Time - 1:27.881
DC - 6.5

Lots of understeer in the fast corners. So, it made the first sector and last chicane a nervous affair, and I lost
time there because I couldn`t give it the full beans. Which was a shame, because the middle of the lap was always very
tidy. Well done.

@787bcgr
Time - 1:25.493
DC - 8

Very twitchy on the absolute limit. but, at 95% I was able to lay down some consistantly fast times. Some outside
wheelspin losing a little time on corner exit and could be unforgiving in the last chicane. But, a nice drive.
Well done.

@MrGrado
Time - 1:26.616
DC - 6.5

I found this tune very difficult to drive. With super sharp brakes, twitchy chassis and massive torque I`m afraid
it didn`t suit me at all. I tried my very best, and don`t think I breathed or blinked for many laps trying to
improve my times. I don`t think this is a bad tune, more I don`t have the technique to get the best out of it.
Sorry. Well done.

@xande1959
Time - 1:25.051
DC - 8

A nice balance to this tune made it a very rewarding drive. It had some understeer in the fast corners. But, not
too much to spoil the lap times. And I did have to change gear a lot to get the most out of it. Well done.

A very secure rear end on this tune made me confident of nailing the gas early on every corner exit. It did give
it a tiny bit of understeer in every corner entry tho. I felt it was geared slightly too long, tho this helped
corned exit I thought there was enough mechanical grip to just make it a bit shorter. Also the best tune over the
hump on the back straight. Not one wheelie! Well done.

A well balanced tune. But for me, I would have liked a more positive turn in. I think it would have made it faster
through the start of the second sector and onto the back straight. Also like Xandes tune, I was between 3rd and 4th
alot trying to get the most I could out of it. A mans car indeed! Well done.

This was a tune I really had to wrestle with to get a fast lap down. Understeer on entry and oversteer if I wasn`t
careful on exit made it hard to drive consistantly. But, fast when I did get it right. Nice idea with the gearbox.
But, I would have gone even longer for a proper 5 speed. It certainly helped me concentrate on steering! Well done.

A fast but unforgiving tune. Nicely geared and great on throttle. But, lift off during the corner and it will push wide.
This made the margin for errors very small at every corner. But, get a rhythm going and its a nice drive. Well done.

This tune rides the bumps nicely, turns in nice, with a little understeer mid corner and will try to kill you on exit
if you`re not gentle on the loud pedal! But, good fun. Just not as easy as some to lay down some tidy laps. Well done.

Good in the slower corners, With nice exit traction. But, understeer in the fast corners ment I was never going to make
up the time lost by -70bhp. Springs and dampers seemed very well matched. But, were just too stiff for the track.
Well done.

After not driving this for a week, this was a bit of a shock to the system! Still a nice tune, just a bit too aggressive
on turn it.

An awesome tune that just glides over the track. Very easy to drive fast and consistant. Gearing just a smidgeon too
short. As I came out of the left hander at the bottom of the hill sideways most laps. I think a bigger 3rd gear would have
sorted that. Well done.

Another superbly balanced chassis from shaun. I knew exactly what my inputs to the steering and pedals were going to
do. I drove the nuts off this and it took me 8 laps to crash. Far longer than any other tune here. A tighter diff and a
flat floor would have made this a contender. Well done.

This tune has a nice balance to it. But, trying to tame a beast with all that torque was never going to be a relaxing
drive! Fast in all the corners, just not on the same lap! Well done.

A nice tune to drive, this. It changed direction well, if a bit soft to have absolute control over weight transfer.
And some inside wheelspin hurt exit traction. Felt faster than the time it gave, but fun to drive. Well done.

Lots of understeer in the fast corners. So, it made the first sector and last chicane a nervous affair, and I lost
time there because I couldn`t give it the full beans. Which was a shame, because the middle of the lap was always very
tidy. Well done.

Very twitchy on the absolute limit. but, at 95% I was able to lay down some consistantly fast times. Some outside
wheelspin losing a little time on corner exit and could be unforgiving in the last chicane. But, a nice drive.
Well done.

Sorry. Well done.

too much to spoil the lap times. And I did have to change gear a lot to get the most out of it. Well done.

Thank you Sir and Great review:tup:....I still like my tune allot, but man did I get freight trained by a bunch of better tunes and tuners.. The only question I have for you is this, did it feel like yours? others have said they were similar though different.
