Please do not exclude the Legacies and Galants.

Edit:
Two classes?
Sti vs Evo
&
Legacies vs Galants?
Hmm good call, would need one more rivalry for a third class, maybe vett vs mustang? Get a little American fighting in this planning

I'm slowly working on testing cars for a tri-class American challenge, I feel comfortable with my results for the Modern Muscle class. I still have the "Supercar" class (Vette/Viper/GT) to test and retest the FF class to see if I want to change it up some.

Why not include FR rally theme based on street car ? Nobody ever tune FR for rally right ? That would be fun :) Maybe I can enter my TMG CS R3 Rally car :D

Should also include all AWD Japanese street cars, I would love to build a rally Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT

Well let me fish the hot hatch testing and I'll dig into the car rivals that would be a good third class. Just need to figure out which ones are easiest and hardest to tune to set up glades to make an official proposal on a challenge.

I really enjoyed following the blind challenge in GT5, would be fun to revisit that idea somewhere down the line. Here's to hoping PD brings back share and trades:indiff::grumpy:

I’m making the following proposal for a new challenge for FITT.
A two track one tune tune challenge.
One track would be dry tarmac
One track would be either dirt or wet tarmac 75% surface water.

3 classes for tuning.

“Spec” class of FR drive trains in the at 500PPish a couple cars from each region with a minimum of allowed tuning, suspension LSD and power parts with in restrictions.
Tracks; Both Dry

Lightweight MR showdown
A mid power lightweight MR showdown, who can settle down these wild cars on the wet track?
Tracks; One wet one dry
Tuning allowed to maximum pp of 500, limited custom GT Auto parts.

@krenkme made a good point that these would make great events and should not be all rolled into one.

STi vs Evo
Battle Royal of the STi vs the Evo on Tarmac and on Dirt. Any STREET 1990’s STi or Evo is available to use that is a sedan.
"spec" class would have limited tuning options for parts allowed Both tracks would be dry just one speed focused one agility focused.
Wet/Dry racing both on tarmac one wet one dry
Tarmac/Dirt

Tuning options; one of the following limits, up to 500PPish, Min weight/Max HP, or Min wight and Max speed, EG there is a speed limit on the track (it would be reasonable 250km/h / 155 mph or so)

Allowed changes for the tracks would be tires and Final Gear on the transmission. The tracks will not only be different in surface but in type as well, One will be more speed based one will be more technical/short twisty.

@Otaliema, just my two brain cells, but all of those seem to be a shoutout in themselves. Try not to group all great ideas into one shoot out. K.I.S.S sometimes is the way to go 👍

We never had just a MR shootout, a scoobie vs Mitsubishi has been on a lot of peoples wish list, and a dirt/snow/Tarmac shootout has been done (I enjoyed it :D). My recommendation is stick to one challenge with as many classes as needed, and keep the others for later....

....but that may just be me :dopey:

@krenkme hmm good point didn't think about that when I wrote that up.

Adjustment than!
STi Vs Evo Battle :) (STi person my self)
I would stick with the same classes I outlined above with adjusted PP values.
I know the tarmac/Dirt has been done in the past but it was my understanding that it was two cars/tunes this is a one tune event. You need to find a all around set up for the car, or find a set up that does ok on one track but excels on the other track and hope that the ok set up doesn't kill the combined time.

It was one tune for everything, but we had no choice on car :D. I liked it a lot! But you may need to find a way to separate the cars per tuners, don't need 20 STi and one Evo :dopey:

True, how would a lottery work here? I don't want to do first come first pick due to time zone issues. work and all that jazz that keep people from logging here regularly during the day.
Ahh I didn't know about that event. Heard about the street rally even that @Motor City Hami ran. I think that street rally is going to be the frist even after sharing comes back to GT6 everyone loved it so much from what I heard.

:D 20 STi and one Evo :dopey:

Isn't that natural selection? :D
And inevitable. :mischievous:

I like the idea of road / rally for one tune. But if we're going to do multiple classes then shouldn't it all be the same theme?
Sti vs Evo (high power)
Legacy vs Galant (mid power)
Camero vs Mustang (clueless/strange)
:P

The last hurrah for GT5 was this shootout... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/fitt-535pp-fr-tuner-challenge.287731/

We did a draft so that no two tuners could select the same car. I listed all of the tuners randomly then had someone send me a list of numbers in random order. Then just placed the two lists next to each other. This set the draft order. Everyone had one day to choose, starting at the top of the order. The cars were also grouped so that the tuner had a choice. So if you picked the BMW M5, you could enter any of the M5's in the game. Noone else was allowed an M5.

We also kept all of the tuner names a secret until after testing. Between me and Biffa we built and hosted all of the cars. It was really fun watching everyone guess at who tuned what.

That was a ton of work, but it was really, really fun. It would be a bit easier now without car sharing because all tunes could just be sent to the host and the host could post the listings.

This was the Rally and Street shootout... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/f-i-t-t-rally-and-street-tuner-challenge-by-mch.260406/

What was fun about this was that you chose a two car grouping. I had grouped rally cars with their street version. So in selection of one car, the other came with it. That added a bit of challenge because the really fast street car that I wanted to pick was connected to a sucky rally car.

For the Rally/Road section would it be possible to use the Eiger Nord tracks? Theres the rally stage and the road stage at the same venue

@Motor City Hami thank you on that link i'll read that over. It would be a ton of work for the host but I'd be up for it.

@Ronald6 it is the same theme just different levels of tuning difficulty for the range of classes. my thinking is the dry/dry is for the entry level players, dry/wet is for anyone up for a good challenge and tarmac/dirt is the pro guys and anyone else that wants to torture err hmm test them self's.

@backnfourth your crazy man! I wanna test drive it later 8)

@DolHaus that was about the only venue that I could think of rally what was worth it, Tarmac I'm not sure if I would do short and twisty or mid speed technical for the tarmac option with dirt.

@krenkme evo's need to be recycled...:lol:

Yes yes yes!👍 What GT6 needs is awesome/absurd street car rally tunes. Were you thinking classics/modern.... all of the above?
Oh! I've just been inspired.💡
I'm off to tune some American muscle at Eiger Trail :D

Yes - absurd street/rally tune

Not so crazy as you might think: hard work though - GT5 CotW Corvette. And credit to Trackripper123, for the snow rally.

It has been a bit tough. So much torque that either my wheels spin like crazy or they get good grip but send me spinning:lol:. I have no idea what to do with the transmission but I think that setting it right is key to getting a good tune. I'm working on it though. Never done a FR rally car, only 4WD and FF, so it's been fun. Thanks for the Corvette link, I'll have to check that out and see if the tune holds up in GT6 or if it set me in the right direction. That reminds me too that you can put dirt tires on one of the race mod Corvette LM cars. Forgot which year, it was the less powerful of the 2 I remember. Now that would an truly absurd rally tune!:D

I think that Corvette would be the '06 Z06 that sounds so damn wrong. Yellow front/Silver back?
