Thanks mate, at least now it has little understeer and no snap :D Did you used my ghost and managed to beat it with any of the tunes tested ?

No I didn't use your ghost. How could I upload your ghost? I would like to try that!

Unfortunately I can't open the zip file on my phone to watch @OdeFinn laps. Is there some way I can watch them?

Thank you for your review and putting in the effort in testing. Looking at the lap times, you've made a 5 second improvement from your stock Genesis run in everyone's tune. That's impressive!👍

@Ridox2JZGTE 1:20.994 in the Spirra with a base tune, no spoiler. (Transmission/LSD/RH/Springs) Still a handful, but great fun. With the reviews coming in, I'm definitely going to have to borrow the keys to yours.:sly:

I should have removed the wing on my car :P

The zip file is replay folder that you have to copy onto the PS3, you can use USB disk, create a PS3 Save folder, for instance X:\PS3\SaveData, unzip the file into the SaveData directory, the name of the folder should resemble something like X:\PS3\SAVEDATA\BCJS37016-RPLYxxx. Now put the USB disk into the PS3 and copy the replay folder, it should be saved under save data. Go to GT6 game, open gallery, then look to the right side tab, upload/import the replay, then you can view it or when on track, upload best lap replay for ghost. Hope this is clear enough and you can enjoy the lap I have driven :)

My zip is including /PS3/SAVEDATA path on all replays, case sensitive thing for PlayStation, all have to be uppercase lettres.
Just extract it and drop to USB stick /-root. <- for @pretend racer

left everything as is by you and just dropped 1mm lower whole car(109mm), voila it's playing like stratovarius now, laps 1:22.256 and that's lot faster than it was, you can drive lot easier and it just eats curbs.
@Ridox2JZGTE I performed the @OdeFinn tweak to your setup and managed to drop a good few tenths off my time, unfortunately not as many as @OdeFinn did so I couldn't quite make it into the 1:20 club :(

Jeje6410 tune
1:22.083 lap 6
Same one wheely peely machine!

Unfortunately my PS3 froze and I wasn't able to save the replay. But it probably looked exactly the same as last time considering the time difference was only 0.003 seconds.

Lionheart2113 tune

Same feelings as last time.

Any comments are not meant as criticism of a tune or tuner, these are just my opinions. I've tried my best with every tune to drive them as fast and consistently as I can. All tunes were installed on a new car. Scoring the tunes wasn't easy as there was such a difference between the two cars, is Heart and Seoul slang for understeer and oversteer somewhere?

All tunes were ran for 15 consecutive laps. The fastest non-red lap time was recorded.

Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track '08

@squander
Lap Time: 1:22.779 Red
DC Position: 8th
Impressions and feedback: Car has understeer and oversteer issues, some corners I had to wait an eternity for the front to come round so I could get back on the power and then when I did the back would step out. Patience is needed with this tune and if given to her she'll reward you with consistent lap times.

@fordlaser777
Lap Time: 1:22.178 Black
DC Position: 4th
Impressions and feedback: Car is easy to drive, the understeer hasn't been fully tamed but the car will produce mid 22's easily. She can bounce off the limiter in a few corners (LSD) and if pushed really hard the rear end will let go.

@Jeje6410
Lap Time: 1:22.711 White
DC Position: 5th
Impressions and feedback: This is the first time I've driven one of your tunes. Car has very little understeer and is very easy to drive, she can bounce of the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd gears in a few corners (LSD) which hinders the lap times a little, she sticks and turns in well through the fast sections.

@Lionheart2113
Lap Time: 1:22.263 Blue
DC Position: 3rd
Impressions and feedback: Car is very stable, you can still feel the understeer but it's less pronounced than others tested. It is easy to produce quick consistent times in her

@xande1959
Lap Time: 1:22.993 Silver
DC Position: 7th
Impressions and feedback: Car is very front heavy, you couldn't carry any extra speed into the corners as she'd just plough straight on. Quick changes of direction were difficult and you had to wait to put the power down as she would step out if you were too quick on the accelerator, riding the kerbs on exit could also make the back end go loose.

@shaunm80
Lap Time: 1:22.830 Grey
DC Position: 6th
Impressions and feedback: Car has slight understeer, but it can also oversteer if pushed hard through the fast corners. She's easy to get into a rhythm with and will produce consistent low 1:23's but when you start to push hard the understeer and oversteer kill lap times.

Oullim Motors Spirra Prototype '04

@Ridox2JZGTE
Lap Time: 1:21.789 Silver
DC Position: 1st
Impressions and feedback: Great tune 👍:bowdown:, car is so easy to drive and very consistent, lap times over the test varied by only 0.5s unless a mistake was made. The oversteer has practically gone and she allows you to get on the gas early out of the slower corners. She's not the fastest, the extra weight probably doesn't help, but she's by far the easiest to drive.

@OdeFinn
Lap Time: 1:21.943 Red
DC Position: 9th
Impressions and feedback: You not only tamed the over steering beast you domesticated it, which for me dulls the driving experience. She still has some oversteer on corner entry if you haven't released the brakes and she can squirm on corner exit if back on the gas too early. Lap times varied greatly as I just couldn't get into a rhythm with her.

@sinof1337
Lap Time: 1:20.925 Black
DC Position: 2nd
Impressions and feedback: Car has massive amounts of turn in, she'll go where ever you point her. Braking needs to be done before turn in otherwise the rear will step out although a quick flick of opposite lock will correct this it hurt lap times. This is a very fast and consistent tune, well done 👍

@787bcgr
Lap Time: 1:21.571 Yellow
DC Position: 10th
Impressions and feedback: I like a car which is loose and on the edge but this one is a step to far for me. Get the balance right and she will produce good laps, push her for that extra couple of tenths and she becomes a drifting machine. Weirdly on the long downhill right hander there was a hint of understeer.

Thanks for the tunes everyone!👍 Time to give my X and [] thumb a rest before the next FITT challenge :)
Thanks for the review. Very quick times indeed!! 1.20s. That is most impressive. Thanks for being part of FITT and showing what you can do behind the wheel!

@pretend racer I have a question. For @Jeje6410 time, It looked like Ridox's time got copied over, so I used the fastest time in the image you provided 1.22.987. Which is the correct time?

@sinof1337 yiur right I didn't enter the right laptime for Jeje6410. Your also right in that I did a 1:22.987 in his car.

It does look like you got a few of the other laptimes wrong though. I can't really blame you because of the way I spammed this thread with my reviews scattered about. Rookie mistakes that I should be able to fix for the next round, now that I have a better idea of how this event is supposed to go.

Next time I'll put all the important info in one post and then spam with media afterwards!

Anyways, here's a list of my best laptimes;
Squander: 1:23.218
Jeje6410: 1:22.987
Xande1957: 1:22.961
Fordlase777: 1:22.791
Lionheart2113: 1:22.672
Shaunm80: 1:22.671
Ridox2JZGTE: 1:22.083
OdeFinn: 1:22.076
787bcgr: 1:21.655
Sinoff1337: 1:21.377

Thanks for compiling all this data, I'm looking forward to see how this all pans out.

Ok could you explain how to read your chart properly? What do the numbers in brackets mean? I must admit I'm a little confused because I only had 1 laptime that was in the 1:23 second range and yet you have listed 6 cars as 1:23's. Why is that?

For me the car isn't as stable with the drop, it puts her more on the edge but it does produce quicker times. I only run a few laps will do a more in depth run tomorrow. Still a great tune :bowdown:

If you are curious, lightened the car with stage 3 reduction, no ballast, use limiter to hit 500PP, see if the car can be quicker or drive better :)

FITT Heart and Seoul Challenge
Genesis Coupe vs. Spirra Prototype

All tunes tested with ABS1, all other aids off, steering sensitivity +2. My testing was a bit complicated for this one:
1. 10 laps with stock Spirra
2. 5 laps with each tuned Spirra, in the order on the testing sheet.
3. 3 more laps with each Spirra
4-6. Repeat previous steps with the Genesis Coupes

@sinof1337
Lap Time: 1:22.655 DC: 6th
Impressions of Tune: The rear has a habit of stepping out while braking, but it’s a lot more stable than the stock car.

@squander
Lap Time: 1:24.644 DC: 9th
Impressions of Tune: A lot of understeer, and while I could spin up the rear wheels and force it where I wanted to go, it would lose a lot of speed in the process.

@fordlaser777
Lap Time: 1:23.762 DC: 5th
Impressions of Tune: A little understeer, and a fair bit of oversteer on some turns, but it was mostly controllable.

@Jeje6410
Lap Time: 1:24.197 DC: 7th
Impressions of Tune: The rear was very planted, almost to a fault; you really have to break and turn hard to get the rear end around sometimes. Additionally, the inside rear tire would spin up a LOT on slower turns, wasting a lot of power on turn exit.

@Ridox2JZGTE
Lap Time: 1:22.851 DC: 4th
Impressions of Tune: Stable enough to let me feel confident in pushing it hard, not quite stable enough to let me actually do so. I found it just a bit harder to drive than the other Spirras.

@OdeFinn
Lap Time: 1:23.238 DC: 1st
Impressions of Tune: Super stable, but it will still step out a bit when you are pushing it hard. Fortunately, I like just a bit of rear slip, especially on chicanes and esses.

@xande1959
Lap Time: 1:24.455 DC: 8th
Impressions of Tune: If it weren’t for a little understeer when off the throttle, I would have thought this was a stock Spirra. Lots and lots of fishtailing.

@Lionheart2113
Lap Time: 1:23.685 DC: 2nd
Impressions of Tune: Almost the least understeer out of all the Genesis Coupes. It did oversteer a fair amount, but it was more stable and consistent about it than the other tunes.

@shaunm80
Lap Time: 1:24.932 DC: 10th
Impressions of Tune: Pros: No Understeer. Cons: Breathing on the gas will cause the rear tires to spin, and I had a lot of trouble getting the rear back behind me once it slipped out. That said, the rear usually didn't get TOO far out, so I may have to try this one on a Drift Seasonal.

@787bcgr
Lap Time: 1:22.630 DC: 3rd
Impressions of Tune: I can see why other testers disliked this tune, but it just kinda clicked for me. The rear was a little finicky like the other Spirras, and more so than @OdeFinn ‘s, but I still enjoyed it, and it put up the fastest time of my testing.

I'll have the current standings updated in a little bit. Anyone who would still like to test will have until the end of Thursday to let me know.

4th, not bad :) Do you feel the car gets harder to turn or the rear slipping as you near the limit ? That ride height change to 109mm as @OdeFinn suggested may change the car for you, though it won't affect the result here :) Overall, I'm happy with the results, some surprises of #1 DC which I never had, usually it's the last for DC :P

@Lionheart2113
Lap Time: 1:23.685 DC: 2nd
Impressions of Tune: Almost the least understeer out of all the Genesis Coupes. It did oversteer a fair amount, but it was more stable and consistent about it than the other tunes.
Thanks for the review, like @OdeFinn I am surprised, but more than happy. I thought for sure it was going to be a Marmite tune.
I knew the speed of the Spirras would be hard to overcome, but :bowdown: to those who tuned them. I'm at 1:20.6 on a base tune, but it seems everything I do trying to help it... hurts it! Definitely a tougher car to fine tune.👍

@Jeje6410

Thanks a lot my friend @sinof1337 for your comments and your tests. :cheers:

Testers, what would you guys change to my tune to make more friendly, while not sacrificing speed? (G27 user)
Car felt like it's riding on rear tires only and front wheels just barely touch ground and when they were touching you had to be sure at they're pointing precisely on desired direction or rear starts to swing sledgehammer.
Positive to say at it was possible to save on.99% of cases, but skills required for that saving was draining every bit of my available skills there. (This could be opposite way, rear-front, don't remember exactly where it started swing, will check)

To do, plant front more and reduce its oversteer ability. On rear end there might be minimal things to do for supporting that front stabilizing.
I'll try to find time tomorrow for looking it more, gonna anyway use my time on GT6, having new era to conquer, I'm doing replica style drifter, following all real-world rules on tuning, halftime sparring could be with your Spirra. :)
