I'm not overly familiar with the scoring method, does that mean 90% of the scoring is based on lap time and 10% on DC?

I'll have at least the bulk of the OP up tonight, any feedback on PP/tires?

Current plan is 450/SH and 550/SS.

You're not familiar with it because I just made it up...lol. Well I posted here about it earlier but it was probably too long winded for anyone to read. I believe F.I.T.T. would be best served with a standard scoring system for all events of this type and to me the simplest is out of 100. If DC being 10% of the score is standard, then lap time is 90%. Fastest lap gets 90 points and everyone else gets less points based on the ratio of

Driver A Lap Time
Fastest Lap .......................... x 90

If the DC is out of 10 you combine all the DC scores and average them for each driver then add to the score out of 90 and you get a total. If the fastest car gets a perfect DC score he gets 100 points.

Maybe 80/20 or 75/25 is a better ratio, that's up to you guys, I just think it should be standardized in some way that make sense and is easy to understand.

I did read it, and I like it. That's why I asked. ;)

An idea that comes to mind is mixing yours with MCH's.
Fastest car - 100, with every car below getting it's percentage, etx (as MCH's I believe -
Now -
Multiply by .9, then add DC (1-10) to the total.

Example, 100 points for fastest, 100*.9 = 90 + 6 DC points = 96 points.
96 points for 9th place,(random generated numbers) 96 * .9 = 86.4 + 10 DC points = 96.4 points.

Is that a correct understanding of the essential format?

I can do this by hand and make a scoring sheet at the end, or someone could make a nice google doc or something. I'm more basic in terms of that stuff, but if someone build a sheet I'd be happy to put times in.

* Times counted as seconds, aka 8 minutes = 480 seconds

Another idea is to use flat lines, for example, 1st place gets 90 points, second gets 89, third 88, etc, and then add DC points or DC points X2 to that. Idea sprung from 2.10 update with some wild cars.

No, just a quick picture to throw in the OP for now. I basically wanted to get enough details up that anyone who wishes can start immediately.(and in my haste I didn't notice it was type V of course) Feel free to ask any questions about cars, I'm a bit tentative with this idea of allowing any car, but have hopes the 20 front aero maximum will keep them all in check.

(As posted in thread, race cars are allowed, they just have to be detunable to 20 front aero and of course, detuned to 20 front aero.)

This part yes:

My idea is really MCH's idea, just with different point values. The math is the same though. I just think it's kind of neat and professional and consistent, if everything adds up to 100 or some number out of 100 at the end.

This part yes if you really meant this:

Example 1. 100 points for fastest, 100*.9 = 90 + 6 DC points = 96 points.
Example 2. 96 points for 9th place,(random generated numbers) 96 * .9 = 86.4 + 10 DC points = 96.4 points.

If it was done in an Open Lobby I imagine it would be chaos:scared:

It was an open lobby…but I think it was more to do with MCH was just completely overpowered by that "Pesky-rolo" of his, since he missed most the starts (i.e stalled or something similar) and just understeered off for some corners. A LMP is not what someone uses to get used to using a wheel, it seems.

That wasn't fun at all. What a dumb idea that I had.

It wasn't that bad. For me it was the lack of track knowledge and an overpowered car, driven by and old (somewhat drunk) old man :dopey:

Lower the HP and I would have... still made a fool of myself

I drove cars as similar as possible to ones I've driven IRL to adapt to the wheel.
Idk if it helped, but I enjoyed it at the very least. :D

That's what I did. First car I drove with my wheel was the MKIV GTI I drove for 10 years. :) I still go back to it when I need a breather or when I get frustrated with Vettel, Loeb and their silly challenge series'.

Third! Love me some Avant~ :sly: And as far as I know there is nothing on the upcoming schedule.

Does mini-competition mean we wont have 2 classes? I was hoping I didn't have to choose between the Stagea and Impreza. :(

Hmmm all the great choices for both wagons and MPV/SUVs.
Really going to depend on the PP and other restrictions on how I roll for this.:D

Well, we could do wagons and suvs?

Well I was refering to when we were all talking about this a few pages back and there was talk of having 2 classes to seperate the Audi Avants and the Stageas from the lesser powered wagons. 👍

Should I put this together? I can compare the PP levels and build a car list.

There we go. 👍

What's everyones thoughts on dividing the cars into a 450PP division and a 525PP division? 525 because the premium RS6 has 525PP stock but it'd be a shame to leave it out because we don't have many wagons to choose from as it is. Plus it gives the Stageas and Imprezas a chance to stand up to the mighty Audi. :sly:
