Here's the 3:33.906 lap from earlier. I muted the sound on this one cause my PS3's sound goes directly through my headphones and the raw vid's just full of background noise.

It's a best lap replay so I couldn't really get the standing start in because the launch starts a few feet behind the line, which means the lap actually starts when you're already moving. The replay also ends without showing the time since the lap cuts immediately upon crossing the finish.

Well so far I've managed to take 25 seconds off my lap time at Black forest. Between finding a car I like and learning the track. Still in 3:40's but getting there. Almost have my car hitting 190 km/h on the start.

Sounds about right, just need to clean everything up and you'll soon drop another 5 seconds 👍

Yeah I've noticed
Now to get the launch right. This is a picky car. 0.020 adjustment and I start torque steering.

I wouldn't get too fixated on the launch due to the length of the course and relatively low performance of the cars, it might gain you a tenth or so by the first corner but there are plenty of other places where that tenth can be dropped. As long as it gets off the line without too much trouble I'd be more concerned about whether I end up in a situation where I'm between gears in a corner further down the run.

That's been addressed already for the rest of the gears 👍 The launch and hence the low speed turn gear(s) are proving a bit tricky, they like to torque the car out of straight if you floor it, and if your nice you loose speed and time. :odd:

Sounds like a differential issue if the car is squirming, power is switching between inside and outside dependent on load which is then being potentially compounded by the suspension recoiling and oscillating as the load reduces coming out of a bend. Maybe a bit more ARB or slightly stiffer rebound damping combined with tightening the accel and/or raising the initial

Power oversteer, outside wheel spinning out on throttle use. The back en is already as soft as it will go minus the ARB to keep it from rolling around on it's self due to min springs and dampers to let the car load up on acceleration. One click down on accel and I start getting the issues you described. It's the gearing putting down loads of torque to the ttrack on comfort tires.

If you've gone as far as you can go in one direction and it hasn't achieved the result you want then go in the other direction. I think you've made it too soft at the rear trying to maximize weight transfer and gone past the point where you're gaining grip and now the body roll is causing unpredictability

1/2 correct. But this car can lap 3:36.×× if no mistake. Just hate the low torque engine. I will test that 4WD you mention. Advantages is launching at the starting point.
Does it have a rotary engine?

Ahh but which half
4wd has such a large PP penitential that it can't keep up in the turns, because of the weight you have to carry to keep the power to get to the same speed as a FR

I have been working on a car for the 450 that I am considering entering once I figure out how to download the track. I want to test for the touring cars in the wet so you can add me there for sure.

Edit...... Got the download. Should be waiting in my cache when I turn on the game.
