Anyway, I’m not sure why I bother posting all this technical stuff here.
Well, I for one appreciate the conversations and find the technical info very informative. I'm very much a noob so I might not even know what I'm seeing or not seeing, or might just assume what I'm seeing is 'normal'.. So thanks, hope you don't stop!

Just a thought, do you think internet speeds would have any bearing on the non-photogrammetric cities, and be purely processing power and/or software/bug issue, which seems to be your take (again, I'm a noob, bear with me  )

My folks game over yesterday so I showed them the game. Popped into the Everest discovery flight.. As I was flying past the peak, about one third of the mountainside seemed to shift a tiny bit and 'click' into place...
My Mom's eyes aren't great so she thought it was a stimulated avalanche haha, shame.

The data consumption of the game actually seems to be quite high when flying in non-photogrammetric areas. You can pause and see this under data options, but I cannot confirm how it really works. Regardless, it might be a bug with the Blackshark system.

What is frustrating me immensely is trying to set altitude for AP, and if using the 1000ft increment dial it shoots to - 99990ft... Unless there's a way I'm not familiar with (easily possible), having to scroll all the way through to the desired altitude is a pain!

Really need to change 'Engine off' to something other than RB dpad right. I confuse it with my X dpad right (cockpit camera zoom) and kill the engines.

Halfway from Brisbane to Queenstown NZ, only survived because of altitude very quick youtube tutorials how to turn Citation engines back on

What’s wrong with the London photogrammetry? It constantly flickers and many buildings look partially melted. Other photogrammetric cities in the game appear more stable.

Yeah I found that to be the same.
Does anyone know where there is a list of what areas are rendered to the highest level?

London’s photogrammetry has always been suspect since it was launched, it’s better now than it used to be but still poor compared to other areas.
I can fly over NY and Tokyo without any issues and it looks stunning but for some reason London ain’t the same

Weird, would have thought London would have received a bit more attention. I mean, my rather remote Northern backwater I can see being overlooked, but London?

The new Orbx GB pack is fantastic and covers such a vast area..11ish quid which is ten quid in top gear maths, combined with the excellent free add ons on flightsim.to for north Wales, Liverpool and Manchester and the Sim is getting more stunning each day…currently landing at Manchester in the absolutely beautiful Stearman which is also 10 quid in top gear maths :D worth every single penny and then some

The developers should really tweak the achievement you get for landing successfully after 300 miles of flight. It happens to unlock at the exact moment of touchdown, but my landing wasn’t successful at all. Five seconds later me and my 747 died on a barren mountain somewhere in the Pennines region of England. 😟

If I'd known that I'd get the achievement with just a skid mark on the runway, I wouldn't have sweated so much bouncing my A320 to a stop

Want to try the Asobo Studios to MS HQ challenge but flip me, basically 10 hours!
Doubt you can skip through the flight and still count.
I'll probably do this on a work day... Before work, I'll do the take off and set autopilot, turn the TV off and then try land the sky whale when I'm home.

Epic, it has it’s faults but oh my, the opportunity to fly anywhere on the entire planet never ceases to amaze someone who started out with a ZX81 many moons ago, and now here I am many moons later still enthralled by what some people far more clever than I’ll ever be can come up with..

Well, I don't have a clue what I've done but my ATC doesn't work.
So I can request and acknowledge, etc but there are no voices and no typed responses from ATC, like when you request flight updates, Airport location etc.

Was flying the Caravan somewhere in Japan. Everything I read on sites looks to be either things I've checked (ATC voices on) or mod related.

Didn't think I'd miss it but I do.
Trying another flight to see if it was just that flight or something else.

EDIT: Nope, still not working. Going to restart game. Frustrating.

Sometimes I get the ATC text but not the voice. A restart usually sorts it.

Is there a option to disable engine sounds in active pause mode by default? Bit annoying looking around with the drone and the sound of your "parked" plane is present all the time.

Restarting did help... But now, flying from Atlanta to JFK, I requested to land at another airport... When then requesting directions to the airport, ATC voices are again gone.
