The only ones that I've seen run 2:03s without draft have been Adam and Nepalli.

Anything below a 2:05 and the draft will keep you in pace with the leaders. One note of warning. I have not been able to test it yet but in prior series, the first pit stop requires the driver to BRAKE before entering pit road because otherwise, the car overshoots the stall and is stuck there for the remainder of the race.

Thanks, I will test that.👍
Wait, I thought you did a 2.3 once?

i suck with a capital S im miles off i need to get practising tomorrow

Best I've seen without draft is 2'04.64; 2'04.32 with it. 2'04.8-2'05.1 is pretty easy to keep up as long as you don't eff up turn 1.
Everyone kills me in the chicane though... *shrug*

Im getting killed on the last corner by Aderrrm. I dont know he approaches it but it sure works. Only sector I can keep up is sector 2.

If you're going to keep up with him in that corner you can't drop below 65mph and if the rear end doesn't try to step out or you don't get queasy feeling like you're going to run wide over the kerb, you aren't getting on the throttle soon enough.
The hairpins are actually the only place I can keep up.

From what I saw, he's probably braking a bit earlier then you, most drivers I've seen are taking the turn a bit to deep tbh.
Of course my best lap's a lot slower then yours though. :P

Oh you gotta kick the rear out a little.

It looked like he was braking a little bit earlier than most. Not a bad approach but that's only if no one behind.

I'm trying to diamond the corner so I enter a bit wide. However, the car often stays wide which is quite frustrating. In a twist, I take a different line than everyone else at the other hairpin which I know has thrown people off.

If they're behind you, they can't make a pass in that turn.
If they're beside you, then it's inside and outside lane.

People on the inside will have to be careful there, very easy to slide deep, as you mention.

I can't get along with this track, running 2:06's and 2:07's on average. My pb is 2:05.3xx i think. Watched a few replays to pick something from Adam or Nepal and i will give it one last shot to try to improve a bit after the F1 race.

Will be happy if i get top 6 today. Top 4 would be awesome.

Quick note to those drivers in Division 2. I will be hosting tomorrows race IF I get home in time from the NASCAR race. There's a chance of rain tomorrow, so the race could run long. If by some chance I do not make it back in time, I have sent a PM to BrosifDuder asking him to host the room. Just make sure you keep an eye on this thread until race time. 👍

Actually, when I was on about being faster than you in sector 3 I was referring to the tight hairpin (at the start of sector 3) where I might be gaining time. I go in deep, and get the power down early. Totally miss the apex, especially as running the risk of touching it is likely to make you spin once in the race. It gives you a nice run for that long curvey straight up to the hairpin you're on about, especially as it's up hill. And that last hairpin, I can't do that well. It seems you can diamond it like outlaw said and not even get close to the apex, and yet you will take the corner faster than the car behind you and still get a better run down the straight (as outlaw was doing to me yesterday ).

It didn't help that you took a defensive line at the hairpin on the last lap. Even with that, I only won by 0.002 seconds.

I think I got something down in terms of the final hairpin for qualifying but I'll probably attack it differently during the race. Diamonding the corner seems to work best but it requires light braking into the corner and to be frank, some crossing of fingers that the car wants to cut inside.

Yep, woke up to it pouring rain at the race track, so I may not make tonight's race. Good thing I was able to make last weeks! Hopefully Brosif gets back to me soon...

Yes, Wardez, that live stream was great. Like watching a race on TV.
How do you have that steam set up anyway (PS3.....Web)?

Im afraid of taking that hairpin too deep. I end up sliding :D. But thanks for the tip, will try it though. I definitely need to win this race, specially since Im faster at this track than the others.

Is there still a room up? If not I'll get one up in a sec.

Room Number: 1472-6118-3916-1741-6132
