My gosh, I was just thinking of my past with Laguna Seca and realized that I've never, never, had a clean race and only one clean quali. (IS-F Series). I've shunted and been punted, crashed and harrassed. Bashed and finished last... Woe is me and my time in Monterrey. Why oh why does thine wine country not let me be? I guess it's 'cause me and only me can control. Well damn, time to make it up in season 3.

I'll probably be 5th by the end of lap 1 but at least I can say I've won a pole for once.
Then again, I fiddled with my feedback and the handling got MUCH better on cold tires. At least, I hope that's the case when it's crunch time. Heck, I hope I can duplicate the 1:44.1 lap I pulled off during practice.

What scares me is that I thought I blew it in that first sector and I had thought I wasn't going to beat my first hot lap. Therefore, I went for broke, nailed the corner before the corkscrew and I somehow beat everyone in the final sector. Must have been how I attacked that final corner.And by .021 of a second.
Well, there goes my chance of winning.Edit: While trying to beat a random guy in our room tonight with an Integra, I pulled a 1:43.8xx
Wasn't going to let him beat me.
I'll give up my spot. I really need to wrench on a car this evening anyway.

My qualifying laps were full of mistakes, including going completely off track and having to take the last corner with dirty tires which started my second flying lap rather poorly as well
Oh well, it's a long race and anything can (and probably will) happen. Tire management and pit strategy are definitely going to be a factor today!

Congrats on the pole, outlaw! You definitely have that last sector figured out.
Egghead is right, it's a long race and anything (everything) will happen. I just hope that with a full room of 16 racers we won't experience any lag issues. I only seem to experience the "phantom" lag I am so prone to when it is a packed room. That and I hope that my pit crew doesn't have an off day.
