Good luck at the academy. I knew you were fast.

And kudos to the new rules. The fixed sports suspension looks more realistic to how I've seen Spec Miata's lean in the corners. I actually think it handles better on the fixed soft spring/damper setup.

I hope I can make the race times for the second season. And if not, at least your practice nights are really fun too.

So your saying there is more then 16 people who qualify? So it wont be like the IS-F series where there are a few open slots each race? Man i better start practicing with this car.

EDIT: I was dumb founded, i just realised that you are probably talking about the time the race starts instead of qualifying times....:dunce:

Either. Last season, Saturday qualifying and Sunday race times were right during family dinner hour. An hour or two later and I could have raced these.

This looks quite interesting. I may join in on this if I have the time. :)

Just got a PM from someone willing to trade me an Amber Sherwood Metallic

This makes me happy inside.

Hmm... i'll see if the schedule can work for me.

And if you want a long custom track i'll be willing to share "Bar Fight @ 2 PM".

Cool, now it's time to buy a new car 👍

Sport mediums will be much better for a low power car like this. I've been running a Nürburgring room lately that always uses sport hards. The last time I ran with these guys it was 570pp, so basically 500-600hp

If sport hards were manageable on those cars, sport mediums on a Miata should be just fine.

Looking forward to not tuning my suspension this season too!

I was hoping you'd post soon champ. Should be awesome running with you again.
And it's definitely great not having to worry about tuning.

I'd say that this car actually feels even better than last season's spec. Probably mostly 'cause of the drivetrain mods but still, it'll be cool to see what kind of times we'll be hitting at tracks that we've visited before.

Oh and I'm not sure if I said this yet or not; but, to Turbo, you're more than welcome to take what I have for qualifying rules in ISFC to use them here. 👍

Those rules have so much set from experience, it's gotta be the only way to qualify for serious competition in GT5 at the moment.

I'm going to try and get the rest of the first post finished this weekend. I get home from work during the week and just don't have the time to do dinner, online racing, and get this thing going.

As far as the qualifying goes, the day schedule will stay the same as the IS-F Cup, but won't be a floating format unless someone wants to help me with it, since I never know what my schedule is going to be. Especially for the next couple months or so.

So are we allowed to sign-up yet?

Keep in mind this thread is open only for general discussion at this time. I am not taking signups at the moment, so please do not post your signup info as it will be ignored for the time being. I will open up registration the moment I get back from Florida in a couple weeks.

👍

I've been out of town all week, so was using the iPhone app to get my GTP fix. Didn't catch this new thread, so just got caught up last night.

I'll definitely be building up the car this weekend and breaking it in. Definitely looking forward to running with you and some of the other Spec Miata season 1 alumni again 👍

Car is painted and ready to go :)

That's an awesome color man 👍

I'm still figuring out what rim color I like most...

I guess just for the fact that I don't want people to take my colour scheme, mine is Metallic Blue body with White rims.

I know, Wardez. That's why I was so desperate to find someone who'll trade me for it.

And he gave me two of them.

Did you make any more copies before you used them both? Seem you like the color... you should always keep a spare one somewhere. ;)

What colour is that exactly?
Amber Sherwood Metallic. From UCD Plymouth 'Cudas, so it's pretty rare.

I only used one. But yeah, I intend on duping my other one soon.

Just a heads up to anyone using the '89 model (who isn't LOL) and needs to break in their motor. Run the new 80's challenge seasonal races to get some miles on the car. 👍

How many times for all the races?:dopey:👍

;)

Yeah, once we get closer to sign up time there'll be rooms popping up all over. More so after the sign up thread's up.

If you want some benchmarks; I set a 1:05.6xx at Clubman Route 5. That's still with some time to be found since the car's still not broken in. Brosif hit a 1:05.4xx

Not worried about where I stand on lap times yet. Just looking to get some online racing in with you guys. Lot's of clean, fast, fun drivers in this group and I just like driving with you. Where is everyone hanging out until the next Miata season?

You guys should join my Integra series when I get the sign-up thread up 👍

I have completely overhauled the first post. Please look it over and let me know if you have any questions. Hopefully they'll spark my brain to include something that I forgot. 👍

I've been running the 3 Liter series, but the grids are thinning out as the series goes. Seems to be typical of a lot of race series on this forum, interest starts our really strong and waiting lists are needed. Then by the last race you're lucky to have half a grid

I've also just been messing around with some informal races, mostly with the GT Academy guys running here.

I know signups aren't open yet, buy I'm calling shotgun on Isotope Green for my new Miata 👍
Just built it up today, but haven't driven it yet.

After tomorrow's IS-F Cup race I'll probably open up a practice room for Spec Miata. :dopey:
