Here's some pictures from my race.

Up until this point it was rather boring, but it gets real interesting right about now. Before I know what's going on, I'm looking at the ground.

That led to this, which led to me looking at the inside barrier.

Same time, but from Egg's view.

End result.

Then I met up with Turbo, SLC, and Welsh, who I would race with until the end.

Will I make it by?

Nope.

We bumpdraft for a few laps, then come to the chicane on the last lap. This can't end well.

Comin' in hot.

I take the outside.

And somehow go on to "win." The finish was just us four in a line, not worth a picture.




And a "blooper" of sorts...

Lol so since the points thing only affects me as of right now, I thought id throw in my 2 cents. The b room, in race, is not that much slower than room A. Just take a look at the overall race times. I may have been an anomaly this week bc I really had the track dialed in, but I have a feeling that time wise it will always take a better race to win the b race then it does to get the comprable points in the a race.

That being said, qualifying should play a role in points. Perhaps a system where you can't get the b room "bye" twice in a row? That way, if say I end up back in the b race for autumn ring, I won't get the extra 5 points and thus would be effectively removed from the points race.

You could adjust the points so that the B gets 3 points for the win, 2 for second and 1 for third. Last in the A becomes 4 points.

I agree that everyone in room a is really close, and I never said that u could decide to run room b....if you can only get the lucky dog pass to room a once in a season I think it will take care of the points disparity. Fact is the top of room b is never far behind the bottom of room a. I'm just saying that winning a race with this group of guys is always harder than qualifying in the top 16. It comes down to consistency and race craft. I passed 11 fast guys to eek out a win and I feel like thatt type off brrom racing should be encouraged. If there's no gain to be had for winning the b race the middle ground guys will never run the b race. I have no doubt that I will qualify next week above 16th because 12th thru 20th is almost always as close as 1st thru 8th in qualifying.

Well i glad b room ended well. Good job stig! I am sooo pissed that my stupid internet pooped out half was through the race and i was doing pretty good.. Oh well that is online racing well hopefully i can make it next wek First actually race of the year in spec miata starts up but i am pretty sure ill make it any way but we will see

Im glad I did because I may have slightly redeemed myself after last nights abysmal performance. 2 points sounds good to me but why bump the rest up by 1? That's all I'm wondering....

You guys gotta realize that "A and B" rooms are just nick names. This isn't a split series.

I'm not trying to exclude anyone from racing but in order to run this thing as easily as possible we need to keep points exclusive to the actual race series.

It was perfect the way it is, the bonus of winning the B race is that you get guaranteed points in the series next week.

No need to mess up the points structure by giving the B race winner any points at all.

Just trust me, it works out better. I really don't understand why we've been talking for two pages about this when we have all of season 1 to tell us why it doesn't work.

It would be seen as a feeder series for FMSC like GP2 to F1 or Nationwide to Sprint Cup NASCAR. That way you have two separate points tables and RT can work with the "Flyin' Miata Challenge" organizer to set up an incentive for getting into the top 8 (or whatever) in the FMC final standings.

This makes it so that people need to figure out for themselves how fast they think they are, then choose either FMSC or the FMC to race in.

You could even register for both series and try to qualify for both series in order to ensure yourself a race. There would need to be separate quali. runs though of course.

I agree with Wardez on this, although it may be too late.

The prize of gaining a spot in the A room is surely good enough and to me there is no way anyone finishing effectively 17th, can score as many, or more points than others in 16th or higher. if points are to be awarded to the B winner, then the same value must be added to all those in the A race.

As for the race, well, it was interesting as expected. lol

Saw some minor lag out there with a few cars, but seemed to be more 'hunting' and maybe like Brosif experienced last week? My car may have been the same to others, I'm not sure. I caused myself 1 problem whilst being 4 wide into the chicane, but also got taken out twice without anyone giving any thought to give a position back. I can only assume this was a lag issue and people didn't realise what had happened? I also nearly took 'Counter' out going into the sweeper at one point as he got squirrely on the kerbs and I didn't ease off enough to avoid contact (as momentum is everything, lol), so sorry for that, but this was also when I made track exit right, just after

The race at the end with Counter, SLC and Turbo was great fun and how we all survived through the final chicane was 'Kudos' to all involved. Great racin' guys!
