Of course I'm always late to the party, but I'll go ahead an weigh in with my position:

I think the points should stay at 5. The person did WIN a race afterall (just as much of a challenge as the A winner faced), no sense in downplaying that accomplishment.

The thing about the points is that you can't win in Room B every week because you spend the following week in A ...so at MOST one person could make a total of 15 points from winning B if they were always the fastest. For someone to win HALF the races in the series I'd say that's a fair reward and would place them appropriately in the overall point standing.

Let's hypothetically say that even if a person was good enough to win every other B race and then managed to also win the 3 Room A races they participated in, they would still only have 69 points at the end of the season. By placing 6th in the Room A race consistently for the whole season one would still earn more points than that (72).

So for someone to potentially finish first in every race during the series and still fall significantly short of a podium finish in the point standings is already pretty unjust... don't water it down even further, let them enjoy their points. 👍

Not that points are going to mean much to me anyway, but that's my 2 cents.

Well, if it makes you feel better.. No matter what decision you make, I will be happy

But ultimately, I believe it should come down to you and Stig to decide. I am not clear on when it became 5 points, but if it was stated as this pre-race.. I believe the lowering of the points mostly effects the people that won the first 2 B races. That would be Stig, and your(Turbo's) brother Spank. Since Spank is no longer in the series, then it only directly effects Stig if the points are lowered. Hence, why I believe it should come down to you 2 to decide.

But like I said, I am happy either way.

Congrats to Egghead coming up from his quali position to put in a win 👍 He really had a textbook run.

I had a good time trying to keep up with counter and Brosif in the beginning then Egg caught up and we had a good pack going then I fell back a bit taking the chicane wrong and had to catch back up over a few laps.

Then all four of us pitted on lap 19 or so but when we came out we were totally spread out way more than how we went in.

After that I caught up to Brosif and was able to get working on the bumpdraft. Blaze was behind us and started helping out too. I also saw Red right behind Egg and assumed at that point that we just lapped them but I was thoroughly confused when I learned that wasn't the case on the last lap when neither of them pitted.

It was pretty much a textbook run, not terribly eventful actually

Lots of stuff happening around me, but I was able to avoid most of it without even lifting

Sorry again to Brosif for a lag induced push on the uphill sweeper
I was coming up for a typical bump draft push, when suddenly he got loose and went sliding towards the grass. Although there wasn't any noise or anything on my end, I knew I was the cause of it by the way he went off. I let up a bit since he had managed to keep it pointed in the right direction and I thought he could pull back into my draft, but I didn't want to slow too much at that part of the track as the pack was coming up quick.

That was super weird Counter. It was actually me behind Egg. I was right behind egg, about to give him a push, and saw my position jump to 2nd.. I was like, whaaat? I never even saw you go off, I was so buried behind Egg, i didn't see it. That must have snapped you super hard, because I am pretty sure Egg and I didn't let off the gas at all.

Congrats to Egghead for winning the A. And congrats to Stig for the B. Nice work guys!

Smart driving to just work together to maintain our lead, then worry about it in the closing laps. I was a bit surprised that you went for it at the end of lap 34, I thought you would have just saved it for the end. I really thought I had it in the bag as we came up the sweeper. I went wide at the bottom so I could get the maximum draft effect without having to let off at all, then I tried to park it beside you into the chicane so you couldn't turn in under me. This worked perfectly, but you got a great drive behind me towards the line which made for a much closer finish than I expected! In the end, 0.039s is all it took...actually a wide margin of victory by Flyin' Miata standards

Pretty much a typical Miata race win: I didn't make any huge mistakes, bump drafting/teamwork played a big part in maintaining gaps, and I got lucky with a few others going off (and me not hitting them as they did ).

Looking forward to Nürburgring, and the first GT race of the season!

Actually, I didn't win that race anyhow. I just earned the A spot on a technicality, so I guess I shouldn't really even get those bonus points. Either way, like I said I don't care so much about my own points as I do for properly rewarding somebody who won just as challenging a race as what goes on in the main group.

I think we did a good job of working together so that it came down to a 2 car race. You were very consistent, and thus easy to work with.

I made a move at the end of lap 34 because I saw the opening, and I didn't want to have to force it on 35 if it wasn't there. I also thought, from following you, that my tires might have been in slightly better condition. I thought I could open up enough of a gap to hold you off. But you were too strong, and you passed me right back on lap 35. You timed it all perfectly.

Turbo - Replace my GT class spot with the next sign up. I won't have time to be practicing for that class so I may as well give the spot to a more devoted individual. The SM class is enough for me any hows. 👍

I would be happy to jump in here. I think there might have been one person ahead of me though. Will have to check the posts.

EDIT: It looks like Talon(aka CounterSteer), Aliens, Gravy, and HandofG were ahead of me on the alternate list. (just going by post appearance. I don't think a list was ever created)

EDIT 2: Just noticed HandofG and Gravy are already on the list. So next up is Counter_Steer, then Aliens, and then me.(sorry if I am missing someone, but I think this right).

Yeah, its true cant always keep everyone happy. Found that out the hard way. As long as you stay with what you say you will be fine. Don't cater to everyone, just do what you want and stand by your decision. If you decide something that is a bad idea your true supporters will let you know.

As I said, who is getting the two points and what is the final verdict on the b race winner?
Graham shouldn't figure in at all...the race he "won" on the technicality wasn't a points race, thus no bonus race. This points issue only affects me. If I'm not getting any points, okay fine, this is just not making ANY sense.
