I was much happier with my GT qualifying than my Spec qualifying. Are results going to be up tonight?

Results will be up tomorrow morning. The GT class is pretty spread out, but everyone that qualified will race. The Spec class has a few groups of close drivers but is also spread out a ton. Probably because we're missing quite a few key drivers this weekend. Only 19 people qualified for Spec, so I will not be awarding a B-Room driver an automatic entry into next weekend's race.
Speaking of next weekend which is Tsukuba, what would everyone say to making the Spec cars run with the extra chicane? Couple rules would apply obviously, like if you miss the turn, go straight and pass someone you have to give the spot back. And drivers that go straight will incur a 2-second penalty for each time they drive through?

Running the moto chicane sounds awesome 👍 I'd say more along the lines of a 3 or 4 second penalty since it would mean going flat out through the straight after turn 4.

I have never run the moto chicane before(at least on purpose). I think Stig has a good point about the penalty. Not only is it faster to skip the chicane, but it will also save the tires. The penalty needs to be fairly stiff.

Well I figure it doesn't have to be too much as 2 seconds might be enough. And if they do it more than once a bigger penalty will be in store. (DQ) If people practice enough using the extra part of the track, come race day everyone should have it down. 👍

I like it because it makes an already familiar track....different. There's plenty of places on that track to pass, trick is doing it cleanly.

Sorry guy got back late form racing the miata and will be getting back late tonight so it is no show for me! but all i have to say is that racing in the rain sucks with a air vent hitting in the face and the rain getting into the car. DOUBLE THE COLD YAYAYA

The second qualifying session was last night at 10 pm EST. We race tonight at 8 pm no qualifying today.

(So is there no way that i can get in a room and qualify like now or sometime between now 11:34 AM Est and 8:00PM EST. I went in the FMSC Quali 2 Room last night and did my first 5 laps of the track. Then i had to leave. I dont have anything else to do today)?
Just to clarify. Is anonymous(the hacker group) responsible for all these issues. once again i cannot logon on to PSN. Which means i cant go online in GT5. What a schmuck. i also had that stupid server not found in the GT5 game issue all day long yesterday.
I have to admit. You guys are such good racers that i hav completely abandoned A-spec. I cant stand those slow A.I drivers. no competition at all. They only way they win is when PD resorts to cheap shots like starting me 1:00 behind.
No Moto Chicane at Tsukuba: Its just another variable that IMO is not needed. The penalty system does not dictate that you run their so i dont think that with penalties off we should run their.

I like the idea of using the moto chicane too. Thought I'd chime in since I'm going to try to add a spec car this week. As for the penalties, I suggest 2 seconds for the first offense, 4 for the second, and DQ for the 3rd.

This is getting frustrating -- I'd really like to know if I qualified, but I'm not going to sit around all day waiting. At this point I'm not even sure it is worth the effort to be back online in time. So if I did end up qualifying and wind up a no-show I apologize to everyone. I may still show up (and I may not have even qualified)...

Sorry, guess my body decided it needed to catch up on some much needed sleep. As far as qualifying, you made the show and I will post the results up here shortly. They'll just be screen captures of the Excel tables until I can re-do them with the fancy sheets from last week.

If you knew you couldn't make the qualifying sessions, I do ask people to PM me ahead of time and let me know so that I can squeeze you in somewhere. Coming in last minute usually won't work for me as I do have other things to do on the weekends most of the time. I even went looking for you after BlackIce had qualified last night and you had been offline for over an hour.

You even came in the qualifying room last night, stayed for a bit, asked a few questions, and then just left without saying goodbye. Turbo and I were online until nearly 2:00AM EDT in the morning which was two hours after you popped in and out of the room. Plus how would that be fair to spdu4ea if you got to run a quali session today and he was bumped off the bubble when he adhered to the qualifying structure that has been set in place since the onset of this series?
