Awesome race guys! Next time let's not pass as much in the early parts of the race. Kinda made it hard to try and keep up with RT and Brosif.

Why not? Same as before. Maybe more people would've chosen it with extra 2 PPs.

Anyhow, due to delayed start I'm probably not gonna be back in time for GT race (unless there's another delay).

I agree, I never got any help with bump drafting. Black ice and welsh just took every opportunity to pass they could. Especially black ice cutting inside and bumping me off line like 5 times! Lol, oh well. Had a boring by myself race for 15 laps...

Nice finish by the way. TnJ and I almost lost you. Lol, on the final turn. I followed you into the dirt trying to catch your draft.
 
GT race starts in 20 minutes for those that haven't joined the room yet, looking like it's going to be a small field.
 
Took me 6 laps to realize I was on sport mediums. Am I stupid or what?
Anyway, that's what I get for making it to the race at the very last moment.

Lol yeah I got real serious at the end and managed to catch up, just pushed it too hard trying to bring momentum and the draft out for a last second pass. Dirt was the result! Was looking in the mirror and wasvery relieved to see you go in too! Lol.
 
Before anyone starts practicing Tsukuba, I've made a few changes that I will post here shortly along with the Results and Points tables after today's races.

The Spec Class will be running the extra chicane part of Tsukuba this weekend, so make sure you practice that part of the track.

NB drivers are now allowed to add the Plastic Window modifications to their cars. This will -10kg and +2PP to those particular cars.

Yeah, sorry about that guys. Basically I got mugged early on for being too cautious and courteous and dropped from 4th to 9th. I managed to work with Red I believe to close the gap on HandOfGod and BlackIce, but felt we could run quicker as a group with me up front, so tried to get ahead. However, I think I was the only one thinking this and for every attempted pass, it became a battle 💡 . I was talking to my TV all the way, but you guys couldn't here me :indiff: .

I felt bad about it, but certainly tried to keep it as clean as I could.
 
after having tons of fun last night it pains me... but I'm going to have to miss the next 2 rounds. Traveling with my gear is just going to be too much of a PITA. Since my flight out and back are on Sunday and Sunday I also doubt I'd be in any condition to run seriously after being on planes all day.

You were clean welsh, just surprised me that nobody bump drafted me, but after you passed I Couldn't keep up with you, even with the draft, so I can't blame you for passing instead of bumping, lol.

Looks like a full day of GT5, sleep, food, and more GT5! Oh and the three inches of snow that has decided to cover the earth, in mid April. Must be because it's tax day.

We got less. However, I did have to drive in white-out conditions for a couple of miles yesterday. On summer tires, yikes.

They are working great for me! They look good!

That last corner pass in the Spec race cost me three points. I didn't think about that until I saw the standings. I am just going to have to buckle down and show everyone some crazy japattack fury!

P.S. A-Spec blows after racing against real people for so long.

A-Spec can still be a ton of fun if you pick a car that will give you the proper challenge for your skill level. Check my GV300km link in my sig if you don't believe that the AI is better than in any previous GT game. 👍

I know what you mean. I ran a mildly tuned S2000 for my GV300km race and barely got past the leader on the last lap and won by a car length or two. (was a clean pass too) That RX-7 was quick. :dopey:

This is true, but I still find the unnatural mid-corner braking that the AI loves to do to be very annoying. It makes it extremely hard to follow closely in the corners.

That is pretty annoying, but what I find way worse (and I mentioned it in that thread) is how cowardly they became after 1.05 or whatever update they release that tweaked the AI.

That's where the challenge lies, picking a car that CAN'T keep pace and maneuver around them with their odd braking. :P
