OT - just watched those new FM7 screenshots from Goodwood and im thinking of giving pc2 some time to iron they inevitable bag of game braking bugs

I'm giving up xbox, mine broke down twice in 2 months, (forza edition) then the controller broke, LB literally fell off..
The reason I wouldn't but forza 7 or any newer game is because after playing 1 through 6 and the fh, I realized I was buying a whole game each time for what really was just a update, a few new cars, one or two new tracks, and some cars and tracks taken away. It would have been nice if they would have caught up with the times back when with the weather systems and such but they are so far behind.. and now they gloat with the weather (on some tracks) like it's ground breaking..
I'm not saying don't buy it. I'm just saying it's time for something new, I'm willing to give pcars2 the chance it deserves, as well as others.
Since the Xbox stays in a state of disrepair, it seems to me the best logic is to give another console a chance as well.. which opens up the chance to try out the new gt sport..
No more red ring of death for me, no more rehash of the same game from 10 years past. Pcars had its problems in the first release but I think they are moving forward, whereas forza is not.

Don't let the door hit you.
A few things:
- Xbox One's are pretty damn reliable.
- LB breaking is sadly a known issue to happen but it can be replaced pretty easily.
- Forza is focused on maintaining performance and they are a head of many other racers in other features(Liveries, Upgrades, Tuning and Community Features.).
- They "gloated" about the weather because they did it without compromising performance and added hydroplaning with 3D puddles, something not done in a sim racer before.
- The Xbox One doesn't suffer from RROD.
Seeing as Forza 7 has/is: (For the first time)
- Dynamic weather.
- Dynamic lighting.
- Available on PC.
- Crossplay multiplayer with PC.
- Driving gear.
- Supporting almost every steering wheel on PC.
- Forza Vista on all tracks.
- Performance damage.
- 4K HDR on console.
- Photogrammetry textures.
- Bodykits.
- Skybox tech from Forza Horizon 3.
- Tuning, car selection & driver gear selection on load screens.
- Friction driver assists.
- New camera angle with a tighter interior FoV without steering wheel.
- Ability to set race length for career races.

RROD was a stab at Microsoft, y'all are right xbone doesn't get that, but I was a victim of that with the older ones. Any PS I ever owned didn't have situations like that.
The power supply is what keeps going out in my xbone. That and it's inability to eject anything. Any of the buttons on the actual console, power, eject, may or may not work depending on how the xbone feels that day.
I'm not trolling, I'm not telling anyone not to buy it, but I do feel I had something to add to this thread as the title is asking why I'm not getting FM7 and going for Pcars2.
I'm well aware that p1 had it's issues, but I also feel like they are trying to move on and better those issues.
Forza has not address even the most demanded issues like public lobbies, they won't even respond to the fans about it. Yeah, they threw in a update as you two mentioned bit is that really enough for me to spend $125 plus whatever for the (whole) game? What's really new? I can play in dynamic weather in GTAV and that's not even a race game.
I personally like a lot of racing games I started with the very first need for speed, moved to GT and got tired of the way they were doing the same thing, so I haven't played 4,5, or 6. So sport should be like a new game to me. Maybe ill do that in 8 years with forza with FM11. Lol

Oh and the tuning, most racing games have tuning..
Body kits and paint? The rims and most cars are all the same ugly wing and splitter.. all the good kits left after 4. All the new wide body kits are taken from NFS15 I have that game and even tho the physics were horrendous, it was better in the paint and custom area.. I thought it was actually a dirty move for Turn 10 to copy NFS on their kits. Rocket bunny and liberty walk. Hell the rims were even copied.

PS3 suffers from YLOD, not at the same rate of Xbox 360 but it did.
Are you hooking it up to a surge protector? You're not supposed to.
I've dealt with four long-term Xbox Ones(both my brothers, mine and a Xbox One S which include two day one consoles) and never had button problems; I've also never seen the complaint on the xbox one subreddit.
Surely you can agree that the RROD thing in reference to an Xbox One made you sound like a troll right?
You're comparing lack of certain features(public lobbies) with performance and controller issues which directly affect gameplay across the entire game.
Comparing dynamic weather in GTA V to dynamic weather in a sim racer is laughable; you're never going to get realistic hydroplaning in GTA V and the effects of rain in GTAV is nothing more than cars having less traction.
You don't have to spend $125+ to play Forza, you can pay $60 and get the same game.

And your right comparing games is dumb. Everyone had their own experiences. I use GTAV because in all I thought it was a better cruising* game than FH3 and I thought that was sad. Note I said cruising around not racing.
I like getting into a car and just driving I'm weird like that. The crew was kinda good for that but over all that game was a mess. I did like the way they did the drag cars.

As for RROD - i had only one x360 which i got before FM3 release in September 2009-its working perfectly to this day and i happily playing FM2,FM3 and FM4,also FH-never had a problem.
PC parts also dying sometimes you know.
As for for x360 game pad - its way more sturdier and better than any Sony ever made - you need to smash it with quite a force to make LB buttons drop out,so in this i dont believe what you say and im calling it bs.

Think what you will. I'm not here to please people, i just wrote my opinion on the question at hand. You can swing turn 10 all you want and call me what you will. It won't make me change my opinion on t10 and the rehash/compilation they are about to release. As far as the button in the controller, not only did I not mash it really hard but in most cases I do what i can to not use lb, rb at all.. it literally jus fell out like it wasnt supposed to be there. You dont have to believe me and frankly I don't care if you do. I'm not asking you for a refund on a defective item and didn't ask Microsoft either. I just went out and bought another.
And yeah I was on the Forza forums. I recognize a few peeps here, I posted a few times complaining. Yup. I wanted them to know I thought they were sliding downhill, I wanted to add to the massives, that were also complaining.. but they don't care they have enough fanboiz that are going to keep them afloat. So.. I moved on. To gtplanet where I can pay attention to othervl games. I used to come here for nfs. Now I come here for everything.

I've seen that happen before. I took apart the controller and didn't put it back together properly, and exactly what you're saying, happened.
Don t know if that's the cause, but that's what happened to me.
With project cars 2 car list just released today, this is where forza 7 should shine. While project cars 2 will have some decent variety and 189 cars isn't more, it is missing some key cars that I'm confident forza 7 will include plus forza will boast nearly 4 times as many cars.
