sorry about the connection issues tonight guys. All I gotta say is...this **** never happened before the patch...

Will look into it and hopefully fix the problem soon.

sorry man, I will gladly boot randoms to make room for friends-

Sall good turned out we had like 10 or 12 guys who wanted in on ur lounge who messaged me complaining that i didnt have my own open :D Even 16 with no randoms wouldnt be enough space anymore.

Gents,

I'll continue to have the lobby open in conjunction with Stig for the next 365 days. After the moments of the past 24 hours and failing to make round 3 I likely will not be around GTPlanet and the GT Academy forum as much, but will continue to message folks when it's open.

I wish you guys the best of luck in Orlando and will be rooting for you-

Nick

You're still one of the best no matter how you look at it 👍

I don't think I have you added but I definitely still wanna head up some spec racing with you.

Thank you sincerely Wardez. I will be back next year along with a ton of guys and will continue to improve! I hope you do the same!

Would love to have you, feel free to add me.

Cheers,

Looking forward to racing with you guys! Sorry for the noob question (zero experience with the online play in GT) but do I need to have a nice garage full of cars to do online racing with you guys or can I just pick the cars in the lobby? My GTP account has a miata and nothing else so if I need a garage and money, I'll add you guys as friends with my other account.

This room that Forced runs uses the "recommended" garage cars so everyone uses the exact same car/setup and you don't need to own any of them.

Makes for some crazy close battles! :gtpflag:

The poker tournament that I was in ran WAAAAAAAAAY longer than I had hoped, but I won so I can't *&$%# too much.... :) Looking forward to finally burning some virtual fuel on track with some of you guys tomorrow. Hopefully someone was racing my Bspec Bob's for me while I was away.

i doubt gt academy will be back next year.it probly will be 2 years at least. i would think canada or some other countries will get a chance, but we do buy most of the product.

[I promise this is the last time I will pour my heart out on GT Planet; :)]

I want to take one more opportunity to sincerely thank all those that continue to send me thoughtful messages about the academy. I really can't believe that people I have never even talked to would go out of their way to be so kind to a complete stranger. It just warms my heart, it moves me and makes me realize that are some really good people in this world, and I just want them to know that it's valued more than they realize. This whole experience really has impacted me, and I'm just flat out thankful to be a part of it. I'm very sorry if that sounds cheesy, but it's really how I feel.

I feel a need to pass on this quote, sent to me by a friend. There are many people out there that aren't on the forums much that worked hard too; only to fall short and I hope this speaks to them like it did to me:

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense."

I'll be back on with the spec lobby this weekend.

Cheers,

Nick
