just wanted to say that i feel your pain. i finished on the bubble spot in the midwest after being around 6th all week until the replays were enabled again. i still cant believe i didnt make the cut. hopefully one of these days ill join your lounge for some good racing. sounds like a good time!
Spec lobby will be open tonight at 9PM Eastern Time. Look forward to seeing you there!
It's all good man, thanks for the post. As I've said in earlier posts, I was fast enough to make it (#24 in the country despite not posting a proper Eifel time), but issues beyond my control (DFGT ******** the bed) prevented me from getting there. Still, as a simulation Time Trialer, there is a lot of room for growth on my part. I think a Forcednduckshn with more driving simulator experience would have got it done. And I got beat by some of the best in the United States. Therefore, I am dedicating the next year of my life to rounding out my skill set as an expert course analyzer and TT'r in GT5. All of the folks in the Northeast, save for maybe 1 or 2, all have many years driving competitively in multiple simulator platforms across many time trial events. I started GT5 basically in December. Like any driving discipline, TT'ing is a skill set. Mark my words, with another year of ferocious practice and well though-out, step-by-step improvement, I will come out next year battling at the very top instead of near the top. I will not go quietly in to the night in the pursuit of my dream. All that I need to be satisfied is for one real opportunity. I will get to Silverstone next time around, should the GT Academy come back to the U.S.
My success and pace against the very best in online racing environments only fuels my desire to match their level in a TT environment. With each minute in the simulator, I get closer. 👍

I hope to join for a short period of time after my rookie go-kart league at F1 Boston. I had some bad luck 2 weeks ago, and my championship points lead is only 1 point
Best case scenario I'm on from about 10:30 to just after midnight.

BTW as obnoxious as this post may sound to people who don't know me, I'd like to say that that was the most inspirational SimRacing monologue I've ever heard Nick. If I could make the whole damn thing my sig I would(and here I was about to give up on TTing and take up drifting
)
Lol...I can't view pictures at work usually. What is it a picture of?
Hahaha! Hey man, it all starts with good quality equipment. Sorry for the brainwashing speech lol. I guess it's a by-product of me feeling the need to keep it real as close 100% of the time as possible.
Would you be willing, to trade ALL the days....from this day to that...for one chance, JUST ONE CHANCE....![]()

Hey Everyone, first things first, "wow." Tonight was perhaps the most difficult room to be successful in. I was lucky to snatch 4-5 podiums or so over 3 hours, other races like Nurburgring GP/F I was just off the pace. A combination of 4 hours sleep clearly killed my edge, but it's also due to the ferocious pace of the room as a whole. Pretty Intense and thanks to everyone that joined.
For all you stragglers trying to get in!I am going to try and open the room up to 16. I really hope this does not cause connection issues, we'll try it out. Best case, try and get in around the time I open it (will try to post the time plus or minus 30 minutes) and I will msg all friends before hand with a 15 minute warning and then a full "Lobby Open." I would love to have all you guys - just get in early! This also helps to eliminate the 1-2 randoms that might pop up in the first 15 minutes.
I have to say, man... HTrio, is no joke. He's quiet, doesn't talk much at all...but boy oh boy is his pace across multiple cars and tracks astounding. Glenn,Conman,Choate,Ghoast, Blindside,Cheef,Gravy,TxDriven,3wide,Stig,Joey,T/A all battling it out. Tonight I honestly wouldn't have minded just "watching" all of the races and observing. I might do this one of the upcoming nights, we'll see.
Any, will try to host tomorrow and redeem myself, if not it may not open till Thursday. Will keep you posted.
Cheers,
Nick
Sorry I rage-quit on the nurb battle at the end :/ I'm so freakin tired of running 4th-6th all the way through lap 3 or 4 and then losing it.
I went back and watched the replay for every race we ran, and EVERY time I would just lose focus in one freaking turn and then be mind-*%&*%* for the rest of the race.
Another thing - if that is 8/10ths for trio I'd HATE to see him in a TT.
One final thing regarding member space - I'm not big on opening a second lounge even if we do have 20 guys or so, W2W racing with even 12 is freaking amazing. Tomorrow night, if there isn't enough space in Nick's lobby for you do this (I'm aware some of you did this 2nite sorry for not getting back to you) -
Send me a PSN message - I will get back to you within 10 mins (might be in race)
If I receive 5 or more messages I will open up a lobby as well and send you all a notification message
If possible, I will bring 4 or 5 people with me from Nick's lobby so we can have two decently full lounges.
Warning: I will be very grouchyif people just jump into nick's lobby after I leave and create mine. Not that I can do anything...but hey...you wouldnt wanna upset mee would you?
Patrick
Nah man don't worry about it! Last night I was slow (not hitting my apexes, timing off, vision, anticipation, feel) and proved why you need to be well rested in order to maintain the level of focus required to perform at a high level with everyone else. Also, at the Nurburgring, I got in to you and bumped you (my fault) and it put you in the grass. Sorry for that. That's why I stopped, let Conman go by and waited for you. My race was already over at that point, I drove too agressively trying to work my way up the field and got nudged putting me off before Adenauer-Frost (sp?). I should have stayed conservative, let people make mistakes and work my way to the front that way, again, poor judgement on my part. He who makes the fewest mistakes at the Nordschleife usually wins!
I'll let everyone know on the forums if I'll be hosting tonight. It's 50/50 right now.
Psh that tap was just unfortunate, nothing you could do about it. I was going slow as all get out (recovering from a spin)and there wasn't enough room to make a clean pass. I told you not to stop over the mic
Forgot you didn't have yours in. In the end, I just got pissed at myself for spinning coming out of the carousel.
I also rage quit last night because of my inability to stay up front or even in mid pack.I feel i just am not as talented at this type of racing as i thought i was.I felt like a pin ball in most of the races and or obsticle.I am not used to being in the back in any type of racing i do.i keep telling myself (but they are some of the fastest dudes in the country)Then i thought to myself (you are fast man dont worry you just had a bad night and you will do better next time)Maybe i am racing to clean and careful.I may need to get a little more agressive in a clean sort of way.My girl said why do you keep getting slammed and pushed into the grass it is not like you to take any ones crap and bumper on the track. So i watched some replays to see what was really going on
.I realize every one wants to be up front, but make a pass not a punt.👍.
I'll be on tonight...I'm still a bit better at time trials than I am at door-to-door, and I only have 2 weeks to hone my skills.
Forced, once you take care of your DFGT via the method shown below...you should be on track to continue crushing everyone (minus T/A, of course).

if you guys race tonight, ill be there.
