In a FB group called V.I.S.I.T. there has been multiple sightings of the mule running about in traffic.
 
"Fix or Repair Daily" has been around for decades. We used it to describe Fords in Engineering departments a lot. That being said we all loved Ford!
I think that one has become more of an "insult out of love".
I cannot wait to the the GT back at LeMans or indeed out and about if possible on the roads (highly unlikely where I am. If it does not have a prestige badge, it isn't a prestige car according the folks around these parts)
 
Sounds much more beastly then the DP does, also has a rather Deep growl that's similar to the Honda V6 (though its much more sputtery ).
 
I still maintain that the front end is divine and the back end is disgusting, and it's equally true of the racing version, but I do like looking at the racing version front and side. It looks like a proper GT racer.

Scott Maxwell and Billy Jones were on driving duty.

Initial impressions are it's loud, they were shifting very early, mid 2:04 lap times, and incredible aero. Even the rear "buttresses" are wing-shaped. Huge diffuser with intricate work on edges.

There's even a hole in the centre of the rear lights which has aero behind it. It's bleeding air from under the rear... incredible.

The engine is mounted well forward and very low and looks to be stressed with an interesting looking gearbox hung from it.
Just to put it in perspective, last year's GTLM pole time was a 2:03.7. This car was coasting for a considerable part of the lap.

I don't know whether this was a known thing already or not, but I just encountered this fm6 screenshot and noticed the rear spoiler is active

Everytime I look at this car, I'm just amazed by it. I can't recall a car that looked so aggressively designed to be its own aerodynamic device. And then the race car itself is already looking to be a serious contender. I read that this car's lap times was already 1 second off the GT qualifying time from last year and it was coasting most of the lap.
 
The GTE is a Prototype in everything but name. This is one of the cars that moves goalposts for regulations, like the 911 GT1 Evo and MC12 GT1 - Hindy said himself that this car is light years ahead of GT1 technology.
 
I don't know. Do you really want telemetry from that 420 guy or from that one person who has no concept on corner entry and exit? :lol:

They'll likely use telemetry from those can at least drive properly and really fast. They wouldn't use the data from a 10 year old whose idea of going faster is by wall-riding.

Probably won't come as a surprise, but it's one of my favorite active wings on a car. It doesn't look like a piece of bodywork that was accidentally kicked upwards. It looks like a wing. It only needs some endplates.
 
Not sure if that is even functionally possible to have endplates on it looking at how its integrated with the rest of the back.

Yes, you do. Because it tells you how the car behaves under all situations, not just ideal ones. If a driver makes a mistake or the car is put in a compromising situation, you want it to be capable of handling the scenario as well as allowing the driver to feel like he/she is in control.

That's well and good...IF that's all everyone was doing. Unfortuantely, that's my only issue with this: not everyone is going to do that.

All the data will be useful for certain situations. Just because most people aren't racing drivers doesn't mean that seeing how the car reacts to them is useless. Data is easy to gather and process, why would you choose to ignore some of it?
