AWESOMME!!!

I like it, granted I'm hoping it gets beat by the Corvette's, but I hope the GT puts up a good fight.

Would have looked much better if the red and blue were reversed.

Chances are if there is a two car effort one will have them reversed as that's what Chip usually does.

I read that it'll be a four car effort:
Autocar
Two two-car teams will race in the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship and United SportsCar Championship, both operated by Chip Ganassi Racing. Driver line-ups for both teams will be announced at a later date, but four cars have been confirmed for Le Mans. The car will make its debut in next January's Daytona 24 Hours.

Probably the body for one.

I don't know if advanced is the right word considering the 488 likely has a lot more active aero going on underneath it, but the GT does look more aerodynamic in general. It's rare to see a road car "missing" this much body work for the air to pass through.

Lets wait and see. I won't be suprised if your right, but years of following F1 have thought me that you can't judge a F1 aero until Q3 Catalunya. Well, the MP4-30 also has alot of body work missing at the rear :D

Ferrari has also done some very interesting active aero tweaks with their cars in recent years, Im looking forward to the GT vs 488GTB vs 675LT road tests..

Also, is it just me, or does the lack of the regular GT's rear wing makes the rear end seem more "detached"?

Then again, going the "RWB rear wing" or in other words, the "wing ontop of a wing" direction probably wouldn't be good for a Le Mans racer.

Poking around Twitter, I saw pictures of the newer Ford GT race car from BBC Top Gear's Twitter feed. Not beautiful, but that car looks great. It has to have some ridiculously low drag coefficient based on how low and slippery its design is. Only real knock on its design is that its headlights are kind of Koenigsegg-like. I otherwise dig this car. I just think this latest Ford GT is more unusual than gorgeous (like the GT40 and the previous GT). Its racing variant is also more unusual than gorgeous. Beautiful doesn't win races and championships, but this is certainly a car that could do some damage in racing. So I say, me gusta to this racing-spec Ford GT.

To be honest, I actually want to envision the Ford GT being more like a Daytona Prototype than as a GT car. Not to say I don't mind a proper GT-spec Ford GT, of course. It won't take too much to make it look as a proper Daytona Prototype. It would also make for a little better competition to go with the Corvette DPs.

Kinda early to say this admittedly, but its foolish to think after seeing that video that Scott Pruett won't be at least one of the drivers for the TUSC Effort. Hell, that looked like it was him in the trailer as the Helmet is unmistakable.

Erase those horizontal planes attached on the rear wheel arches and make the cockpit a bubble and its dang near an LMP.
