Couldn't run him wide that time!! I'm pretty indifferent to this championship but definitely was rooting for Hamilton to pass Max after getting ran wide that way. It's an absolute joke that they didn't rule that a penalty. Thankfully justice was served.

Well, I guess running people off the track while also going off track yourself is now allowed. And to think Horner and Marko were calling for a race ban for Hamilton at Silverstone...

"That's what you get when you don't leave the space" indeed.
Have the stewards forgotten the Black and White flag? Give Max that flag to say "we'll let you have that one, but don't do it again"

EDIT while typing: Max gets a black and white flag for excessive weaving lol.

To be fair, it only took an extra 100km and a new V6. Guess James gets his gold star for strategy.

This is lunacy. There was no contact only because the driver being run off the road by the car that made no attempt to take the corner whatsoever took avoiding aciton. That's not racing.
"No attempt" is hyperbole. You think he pushed him wide, fine... but please keep it realistic.

No you see clearly Max is a 100% dirty driver that never races anyone clean in his life and acts like a brat whilst Lewis can never do no wrong it seems

Steering right in a left-hand corner while you're already over a car's width away from the apex - with a car directly to your right - is not an attempt to take the corner.

But he's got away with it (again), largely thanks to Hamilton avoiding the crash (again). Mental he got a black-and-white for weaving but "no investigation necessary" for that.

Ah yes, the "if you don't support Verstappen 100% you must support Hamilton 100%" level of discussion. Oh how we've missed it.

Who has said Lewis can do no wrong? Meanwhile, Max used to have a history of aggressive driving & penalty points to account for it. I mean, F1 even has a video of 7 times Max clashed with teams, mainly Ferrari.

For a very long time, Lewis had way more penalty points than Max. He was even very close to a race ban at one point

Edit: to be precise, Lewis scored 7 more penalty points than Max (13 vs 6) in the last 3 years

So you can never turn the wheel to the right in a lefthander? What if there was oversteer?

On the whole, I'm neutral to the entire scenario. I just love seeing the sides clearly form. The absolutes when they're not true is just silly.

1. Hamilton
2. Verstappen
3. Bottas
4. Perez
5. LeClerc
6. Sainz
7. Gasly
8. Alonso
9. Ocon
10. Norris
Fastest Lap: Perez

I'm perfectly fine with the racing. Made for a thrilling event and Hamilton put in an excellent drive; he needed that to keep the title fight alive.

Well everyone who wrote this championship off on Friday morning when they saw Lewis had a 5-place grid penalty was wrong in the most spectacular way possible.
After the disqualification, I though Max had this sealed even after the sprint race, but Lewis was on fire.

10th on the grid, that's the second-lowest grid spot Lewis has won a race from in his career, and that's not even the whole story because of the Sprint.
