...and your reasons for disliking F1 would be.....?

True enough, but it is like I tell my 5 year old boy, "go oustide and play". :)
I like to sit and watch F1, as well as CART, or just about any other race form (bar Nastycar, I play the video game but don't watch it). It does become an exercise in futility sometimes. I guess that's part of it.
I get tired of people knocking Nascar (heck, I just did:P), you say you can watch the last 3 laps. Well that rings true for F1, and CART, and Sportscar racing. If you want to know "who" won, look it up online. If you want to know "how" who won, then watch it... If you don't like something (and this isn't directed at you Holland), I don't really care. If we happen to like the same thing, cool.
It's like the guy who started this thread, I could give a dogs a$$ if you like F1. Ahhh, but wait, you like Oz V8 Supertouring. Hey, me too!! Why didn't you just start a thread about V8 supercars?
Because you feel like I need to know and consequently give a
**** that you don't like F1.

Sorry 'bout that... No offense intended either eddy, just a little vent.

BTW, I have seen a boring touring car race in my life.

You are right when you say that you don't have to watch the whole race, just look it up afterwards.

But i can't. I have the F1 decease. :D
Yeah, sorry about that boil-up. I didn't mean any harm or harshness to anyone. I just get tired of people saying, "I hate F1, or Nascar, etc.". Or they come on here and the 1st post they do is Xbox sucks or ps2 sucks, whatever. If your going to make statements like that, then please people, put some insight and thought provoking verbage behind it. Not - _____ SUCKS with a period behind it. I don't mind hearing opinions or even preferences for that matter, but come on.
This is a discussion forum not a "I don't care if I piss someone off" forum.
This is the best forum I have been on and I hope it stays that way.

And I'm with ya M.I.Holland, it is a disease.

Once again, i agree with you. :)
And i don't mind the boil-up, we all have those moments once in a while ;)

I used to love F1, but now with all the driver aids its just getting boring. Especially when all the cars are at such different levels of competitiveness, there is little or no action for a lot of the race, and when there is, it normally ends up in a car being penalised for getting to close to another car!

I try my best not to make F1-converts out of people. I let them discover for themselves how interesting or boring it is. I have had friends interested in F1 for a race or two, but that's it. You can't make someone enjoy an F1 race anymore than any other sport.

But I have found that an interest in F1 is usually because it is more of a technical exercise rather than a pure sport, team against team, or athlete versus athlete. Those who are interested in the history of cars, how they work, or the pace of technology seem to get the biggest kick out of it.

No, the racing always seems to get worse, but there so many interesting dramas involved, legal wrangles, trickery, egos, and absurdity that it is hard not to become a little interested if you think anything of auto racing.

If anything else, the scene of 22 F1 cars performing a standing start is trully one of the world's great sporting sights!

That's absolutely right. F1 is only a sport between 2 & 4 on every other Sunday afternoon, as Frank Williams once said, and that's when it's at its dullest. For me, you can't beat a good qualifying hour, especially at somewhere like Monaco. But everyone who's ever thought about F1 should go and experience the sights, sounds and smells live.

mybad, GTP isn't only about gt3, its about everything. And this piticular thread is about REAL F1 cars..not fake:reallyodd:

F1 is great i watch it every weekend! if you dont like it dont come into the forum.
