He is, I have seen a 15.571 with using my wheel and on 360 gearing after a good finish to the prev lap, but my thing is I only get a great turn 3/4 when I get a slow split like a 13.65 or some garbage, I'm moving on to the race too 👍

13.550:drool:!!! I looked at the replay several times and I got on the white line but never went under!!!!! What also helped is that I turned off TCS this time.

Looks like qualifying's really heating up now... was it even possible to get near 13.5 until now?

No new times yet, if allowed...

OK great, the time is very believeable, just wanted to make sure you knew about the rule seeing that you have only a few posts.

I am very pleased to see 13 of the 15 drivers turn in practice times 👍

I hope everyone is enjoying themselves so far.

Most definitely, even through pain. This race series is excellent.

How many racers are knocked out of the qualifying sessions the first time?

It's going to depend on how many turn in times. I would like to have 3 rounds like Formula 1, so if 12 turned in time 4 would be knocked out each of the first 2 rounds leaving 4 for the final round

Oh and I feel for you and your pain. That's one of the main reasons I purchased a DFP, because of the pain. After a 1000km race at Suzuka that left my thumbs numb for a couple of days it was time to hand over the dough.

On another note, some of the guys here are going to have some sort of proof of their lap and race times so I suggest everyone try and find a way to prove their times. Personally, I will be uploading my qualifying lap and race replays in a PS3 file so that those with PS3s will be able to view and verify

I will be sending photo proof because I dont have any recordings nor a PS3. Earth ill send you my T1 time just to show people I am not lieing.

Yeah go ahead and send it to me 24lm@mail.com if you want.

Oh and you are allowed to send as many Q times to me as you want, just be sure to do so before the deadline 👍

but how do we know it's not another track? *cough* like Motorsportsland *cough*

Seriously, I believe you. I cannot qualify because my brother has a friend over and they are playing videogames...

I think this series should have a medical warning. I ran the race for the first time on MILD forcefeedback and my hands ached like crazy. They were numb for a few minutes after the race but now they're slowly feeling better. Who knows what would happen if I had the setting on STRONG? If you can last an entire race here with strong force feedback then you're a tough SOB

If anybody thought this oval race was going to be smooth sailing then they are sadly mistaken. That was easily almost as terrifying as the Nurburgring. The 2nd toughest race I've ever driven in Gran Turismo.

I thought so myself and boy was I wrong, horribly wrong. Never have I had A car that twitches on the straights and snaps in in the corners Like this car does and man its nerve racking.

I knew it would be, but just think after the first two races, its all downhill from there, just one small bump at Monaco.

I should mention this, as with real rules, you are allowed to stay below the white line when exiting the pits until the back stretch for safety reasons

If there's anything people can learn from this race, its patience and consistancy. Ovals teach you alot about patience and consistancy. When your impatient and inconsistant, you are punished badly if not sooner then later, but when you are patient and consistant, it works wonders for you. Whoever comes away with the pole and/or victory will probably have been the most patient and consistant driver in the field and I'll be impressed if any of the ten rookies can pull it off.

I ran for about 20 laps last night and got down to a 13.665, I can see how going faster than that is possible but there's only so long I can hold down X and nudge left on the stick before I realise I'm fitting the definition of insanity - doing the same thing twice and expecting a different outcome.

Look forward to seeing just how close everyone's final times are, there's going to be some groans of frustration at seeing people beat you by thousandths here.

You know it, some great racing for sure, I just hope I am in the top half here, the way that rear loves to kick out in turns 3/4 :/

Using the DFP im going full throttle through 1,2,3,and 4. Probably explaning why people arnt being as fast as others.

I’m full throttle the entire way around, too. Time is all about sticking to the line and it’s difficult with a DS2. :indiff:

Well, I did that too, and it came out for the better.

As for that thousandths of a second thing, I can testify, because BLAKE LAPPED EXACTLY ONE-THOUSANDTH FASTER THAN ME! ARGH!

At this time, though, my split is still listed at 13'714, but I previously got 13'631 in.

Don’t worry, I’ve gone about 4 hundredths faster since then. ;)

(Although my actual lap time was only 0.001s faster because I stuffed 3 and 4…)

Oh my goodness! I can't get beneath a 13.615. Yes, that was an update on my split. Jeez. I'm not doing that well. Everyone is going quicker and quicker.

Now I feel as if i really am in Formula 1. Everybody towards the end of qualifying geos out for a desprate attempt at a fast lap. Right now theres really only 2 days left for qualifying to end. The only person Im worried about is Pepe13 for the time being:scared:All the people in the top four are in the 5 tenths range, that also worries me. There will be groans considering how close people are running right now.

How about now? I improved to 13'606, the best of the night for me that was clean. This will be a tense battle to the end. A good night's sleep should clear everybody's minds, however.

13.566

I am not going to get a better lap out of a DS2. I’ll submit this lap and it’s unlikely I’ll improve. I am totally happy with the lap.
