there's going to be some groans of frustration at seeing people beat you by thousandths here.

Errgggggghhhh!

Good racing guys, best of luck in the race proper. 👍

Nice Pepe! Love to see my teammate ahead of me, that is great! 👍 We'll see how the 50 laps goes...*gulp!* I'll have to take the wheel for that I think, it gives much more control for 3/4 imo. I had a 25.465 but was dirty :/, gl all!

In the options > DFP steering menu there is an option that says "active steering" on or off. It is said to "prevent the likelihood of spinning out"

I believe this is the same as "ASM" so turning this option on is illegal

Correct me if I'm wrong

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I may not be on GTP for a couple of days. (Birthday, US holiday etc.) Good luck everybody!

I'm on probation; my little brother is not letting me play video-games ever since I ran that 24-hour race! As if he spent less time playing NBA Live 2004!

But, I'll try to sneak in a warmup session anyways...

 I tell you what you aren't missing much, this race is a nightmare. I'm starting to wonder if this race is tougher then the Nurburgring :scared:

I wonder what damage I've done to my hands...

/\ Hahaha, like I said first two round are the worst :nervous: Be Gentle!

Cool I redid the race today and dropped 40+ seconds off my final time. I only had one spin this time instead of four.

I redid the race just then, there’s about 12s to come off before I’m really happy.

5 seconds off the best I could ever do. I think this time is good though, so I may or may not improve.

...and now my older brother won't let me play, despite the fact that I did when I kept it, and his promises of the console being, 'communal'. What a jerk! (Outburst of anger, don't take me seriously)

So, I have more obstacles. But, given everybody dying doing this race, is it worth it?

I still haven't managed a clean* race.
(*By clean I mean less than 5 spins and by race I mean procession..)

Earth, ever had a DNF sumbitted? ;)

Hmmm even if you spin 5 times there is still the probability that 8 or less drivers will turn in a time, so therefore you could still pick up points.

Okay, I just took 10 seconds off that. If I don’t win this race I’ll eat my shirt. About to submit my time.

I'll try again tonight then.

So, as the deadline’s winding down how’s everyone doing?

Would slipstream effects count for the race warmup? I got the best lap from there, and the split has to be from the race, so I would assume so, but all the same, it doesn't appear correct to do such.

My race warm-up: 13'377. I'm frustrated with my not being able to do better...

I lost control once, but only 3 seconds were lost, however I have a feeling that I could have gone faster out there.

I'm so totally out of this.

This race is making me angrier and angrier. There's no consistency to the reactions of the car whatsoever and I'm going to start hitting things (namely: the ban button  )

So I'm going to bed instead.

Aww poor Famine. I think everyone has had that feeling so far. You know that there's more time out there to be had but actually getting at it is beyond frustrating, and making it 80% through the race only to have a butterfly's wings cause a spin is enough to make anyone consider homicide.

Bring on the results and the real circuits.

You said it, enough of this silly Indy/Nascar garbage and onto something that requires leaning to the left and right 👍
