I hate to question the drivers but did you keep the car above the white line?

I did on 1/2, but as previously mentioned, I screwed up the second half. We are allowed to adjust top speed right? :nervous: Because that made a big difference to me.

@dumkopf: The Sixaxis is the controller that comes with the PS3. It's a lot lighter I hear (no rumble weights.)

First Split:

T1: 13'649

I'm working on my entrance and exits because when I started, the car was often tail happy.

My split from the first session I did a few days ago:

13.630

Shouldn’t be hard to beat.

FGT + Super Speedway + 210mph + G25 = Ouch, my arms have been torn from their sockets.

Best split so far is a 13.743, with no chance to improve before Monday.

I still cannot access a Formula GT in Arcade Mode... if this continues, I may not qualify for the championship race.

I voted for Fuji.

I'll try though... splits to follow.

The Formula car has to be won in Sim mode before you can use it in arcade mode I believe, as the case with any car. If you dont want to go through the F1 world championship in sim mode you may be able to find an uber-save for gt4 or if you want I can send you my save that has about every car you need unlocked and about 11 mil in my pocket.

I have no idea how to get a :13.4x Dave, riding the line using a wheel BARELY gets me a .59x even with a great turn 3 and 4 from the lap b4....???

So it has to be unlocked? I bought one from my cousin, but it still doesn't work... Please help! ANYBODY!

Oh yes, and thanks, Jerome.

This is why I decided to add a 'Physically demanding' stat to the track specifications. This track and the Nurburgring are about as bad as it gets.

Superberkut do you happen to have a PS3? I can send you a 100% save if you do but if not the only way I know to get one is to beat the FGT Championship or get 100%

Yes it is physically demanding, and no, sadly I don't. GT and Ace Combat are releasing new games! ARGH!

But, I got my answer. Perhaps I should read the posts more carefully.

Improved to a 13.820. Well I say improved, I'm still bloomin' last! Turns 3 and 4 are killing me..

Yes we are allowed to mess with the gearing.

So then it begs the question....why exactly are people using it? I can't see much of a difference when it comes to weight.

Randomly:Why is that on the main straight sometimes the car starts to weave about? Also, what kinds of speeds are you guys trapping right before turn 3/4? I'm getting it to about 216 mph.

Well I'm using the SIXAXIS because I feel I can run a smoother qualifying lap without having to worry about fighting with the wheel. I'm also using it because I prefer to have the PS3 run the game so I can upload my replay easily

The instability at high speeds on the straight may be due to the setup of the car.

On a very good lap I can touch 217 going into 3

Personally I think I'm going to move on to the race, where I will use the DFP

I noticed when I starting messing with the top speed setting, I starting beginning new laps 2 or 3 mph faster. That's what made the difference for me.

I tried all the top speed settings that made sense, with and without tcs. Are you sure you are staying ABOVE the white line in the middle of the track and your weight of the car is at 0%? I went below the white line and instantly got a 13.4x.

I turned off ASM (I turned it off in the middle of my qualifying session) and I suddenly went 10 mph faster! My split was 13'714, then I had to give up due to severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

My lap was clean, too.

Hmm, why do alot of people want Fuji Speedway 2005 instead of Suzuka? I thought everyone hated the new Fuji.

Well, I would have liked Fuji Speedway 90s, but 2005 is the closest one.

*I should have voted for Tokyo R246, and I regret not voting for Suzuka*

You’re not allowed to use ASM anyway.

Hi guys!
Nice work jump_ace!
My best sector was 13.598, but that wasn't in my fastest lap. :(
"only" 13.627 in the hot lap.

Splits in order of attempts:

Attempt 1: 13.628
Attempt 2: 13.626
Attempt 3: 13.620
Attempt 4: 13.612

I slowly getting better with turn 1 & 2, 3 & 4 is another story.

Edit: Just hit a 13.595

Well I've been done with qualifying for a while now. It drove me nuts trying to stay close to the white line through 1&2 and it seems nearly impossible to hit 3&4 consistantly with the prefered line so I've moved on to the race.

But when I tried the race the DFP gas pedal is acting up again...will have to take it all apart again and that is not an easy chore

13.576 sector time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe! :dopey:

Very very nice time Pepe13, but I have to ask to make sure, are you staying above the white line throughout the lap? 👍
