:BAHRAIN INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT POST RACE REPORT:
Oooh all the fun of the fair eh! First race and its getting exciting already!!
The puncture situation wasnt as bad as I thought it might of been. Obviously not having got one I would say that

But as far as I can tell the bug seems to effect Bahrain more than any other circuit, so when you consider tonight it looks quite reasonable for the rest of the champioship.
Sorry to Jordy and D3 for a set of unfortunate circumstances. It seems D3 had issues with his XMB and Jordy had the incident at turn one. With regards to Jordys question, pending a majority vote I would be more than happy to turn down the penalty system. I basically put it on realistic as I didnt know quite what to expect. That said, I was more than happy with the racing on display last night. Everybody was fair and clean and any incidents were dealt with in the proper manner. Really satisfied with that. Thank you very much guys 👍 The season got off to a flying start!
Speaking of flying starts though...

lol. I was giving you guys such a hard time about track etiqutte, steaming down to turn one I was so busy concentrating on everyone else I totally missed my braking point! Thankfully, and perhaps very luckily, I saw a gap and came off the brake.. spun the car through the back of turn one and managed to get through clean. Sheepishly I joined the back of the pack thinking 'you bloody idiot!' lol. I can laugh about it now, but if I'd of hit anyone I'd of been mortified!
As far as the race went it was pretty much incident free. Which is just how we like it eh boys. I didnt put myself in the best position to start with, my qualifying went terribly! I spun out on almost every lap. Sensible thing may of been to go and look at my tune, but I thought it was best to get a lap in! Long story short, I hadnt put in a fast lap until the 5 minute warning! Pressure was on. Eventually got an ok lap in, preparing for a better one and ... my fuel runs out!

I had to crawl back to the pits and settle for 5th. What made it worse is that my tyres were only at 83% efficiency for the race

I sturggled!
It wasnt all bad though. After my first corner incident I joined on the back of Zeeko and we had a tasty bumper to bumper battle. The short comings in my tune were most evident when I was following him and looking for room to pass. I just didnt have the confidence in my setup. Bahrain is a tricky one for me as far as tuning goes. For some reason whatever I try, when I go on the attack the track bites me in the ass. Very frustrating.
Anyway a couple of laps in I managed to capitalize on a mistake and gained a position. By this point though my tyres were falling off fast and I needed to pit. And thats where the excitement stopped really. I carried on by my lonesome, trying to put in fast laps with my horrible tune. Any overtaking after that was done either by me spinning and being overtaken, or giving a cheeky wave as I passed people in the pits. There were a few tense laps around the middle of the race with Stevi breathing down my neck. The pressure was too much in the end though and I gifted him a place. Next up was Douqs but he pretty much breezed straight by near the end
All in all an excellent race. A few minor hiccups with no shows and two guys getting the boot through no fault of their own, but hopefully we all learn and the next race will be even better!
